Well I didn't check my e-mail for about a month and I missed out on getting back in the league. But it is nice to know my 3 potential keepers all went in the first round.

Roger Wehrli Cornerback Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach has called Wehrli the best cornerback he played against, and claims that the term "shutdown corner" originated as a description of Wehrli. 7x Pro Bowl selection (1970, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979) 7x All-Pro selection (1970, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979) 7x All-NFC selection (1970, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979) NFL 1970s All-Decade Team

I'm thinking about going to a Yankees game but I'm on a budget. How is the view from the bleachers? Stubhub has tickets from $6.

Otto Graham Quarterback Cleveland Browns ...Graham also found time to play one year of professional basketball for the Rochester Royals. In what would become one of his trademarks, the Royals captured the 1945-46 National Basketball League title. Upon joining the Browns in 1946, he was switched to quarterback, where he would lead the team to the league championship game in each of his 10 seasons, winning on seven occasions. # 5x Pro Bowl selection (1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954) # 10x All-Pro selection (1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955) # NFL 75th Anniversary Team # NFL 1950s All-Decade Team # UPI NFL MVP (1955) # UPI NFL MVP (1953) # UPI NFL MVP (1951) # Pro Bowl MVP (1950) # AAFC co-MVP (1948) # AAFC MVP (1947)

I'm still holding out for my QB. I hope he'll make it to me this round. Here is a hint: Lets call him J. Harrington. No that's too obvious, Joey H. I'm crossing my fingers.

He was unstoppable in 2002 on the way to that Super Bowl win.

Unless Lebron can be had in two years.

I didn't know Sam Adams was gay. Not sure how since I read every issue of Willamette Weekly and they talk about him all the damn time. He does look kinda fruity though. Not surprising he won. In other news I failed to get my ballot in for the second straight year. Of course the only votes I filled in were Obama and Steve Novick, who is 4'9" and has a fucking hook for a hand. He ended up losing by 20,000 votes.

Obama drew 72,000 people to Portland's waterfront park today. With the Oregon primary on Tuesday, I think he's got it.

I just put in about 5 hours of it and I'm pretty impressed. I've done very little in that time except kill a lot of people, buy clothes and hang out with some of the friends in the game. Load times are almost non existent and I really like the story. The dialogue between characters is fun even when you're just driving to a location. I like the new Wanted system a lot better too. The first thing I noticed about gameplay was the driving mechanics and the little changes to make it more difficult. Also driving drunk is interesting. Surprisingly I don't even like doing it after the first couple of times. I thought it would be really fun, but it just makes things more difficult.

Perceptions: Seattle: World class city. Space Needle, Pike Place Market, Microsoft, Starbucks, Mariners, Seahawks, Nirvana. OKC: Some wackos blew up a federal building there. I've been to Seattle before and will be going again soon to catch some Mariners games. I hope never in my life to step foot in Oklahoma City. Granted I live a thousand miles closer to Seattle, but OKC still seems like an undesireable place to visit. Ever. I don't really have a problem with Bennet wanting to bring pro sports to his home town. I do have a problem with the way David Stern handled the entire situation. Also moving to a market with nearly 2 million less people is absurd.

I didn't realize he was even out of jail.

I'm loving Stephen Curry right now. Too bad they have to probably play Georgetown next round.

Why the fuck is Price is Right on when Stanford and Cornell are playing? I'm in 5 different NCAA pools and I thought I had identical brackets but apparently I split 3/2 on Baylor and Purdue. I believe I meant to change em all to Purdue but whatever.

The ESPN people seem to think Arizona is more desering than Oregon. Granted UA played a hellacious schedule, but in the Pac 10 they played the same schedule. And Oregon did better. And swept Arizona. I think they're both in anyways due to how the conference is viewed. I also have to say I don't believe most teams actually get "snubbed". You either won your games or you didn't. If Oregon misses out, well they should've beaten UCLA, USC or WSU once. Or just not lost to Oakland.

Bravesfan, or Fokai as he's apparently taken to calling himself gave me Rick Reilly's Who's Your Caddy? to read a few years back and I was skeptical that a book about golf could be interesting. In it Reilly becomes a caddy for multiple professional golfers and celebs and shares his experiences. Surprisingly entertaining and something I've been thinking about reading again.

Cool Bill Simmons article about NBA "What Ifs?". Sports' two most intriguing words: What if?
-
I can agree with 1 game. I'm just happy Dirk came out and hit somebody. Too bad they still can't man up enought to get a win against the West's playoff teams. Haven't beaten anyone in the top 8 since January.

Yeah those were some of the lousiest calls I've seen in a while. Apparently Shaq can put his forearm into your neck and attempt to push you down, but when you put out your arm to keep from falling that's a foul. No need to blame the officials though. If you don't want them deciding the game then don't get down by 23 points. It won't matter in 3 years anyways when Shaq is gone, Nash is old, and Roy, Aldridge, and Oden will be getting those calls.
