  1. It would make a weird movie. But hell, I'd kill for even a couple minutes of new Arrested Development. So anyone get the season 3 DVD yet? I picked it up a couple days ago.
  2. I have a really hard time trying to pick a best song off of III. I'm crazy about "Gallows Pole" for some reason.
  3. 1.19/L (canadian) the last time I got gas. Which translates to 4.07 per gallon (US).
  4. Zeppelin II is my favorite of their albums. Which is wierd because I think IV has the better collection of songs. I just think that when listening to them front to back, II comes across better. Everything flows together better.
  5. And I also think that you're forgetting the magnum opus known as Coverdale/Page. I mean after that project was unleashed people were all "Led Who?"
  6. Jimmy Page says Presence is his favorite album. jimmy page hasn't done shit in almost 30 years. literally. no one person from a famous group has been so musically irrelevent. so, ask yourself, does today's jimmy page mean shit? or his opinion? Ringo Star begs to differ. And I was just stating a fact, not insinuating that it meant anything. And Jesus Fuck is the shift key REALLY that hard to press.
  7. Let's not ignore those who really shouldn't post in this thread. Genuinely curious question for those who care: When did hip-hop get overrun with all this talk about running the "game" of the genre? Is concentrating on this the main problem with mainstream rap sucking the last 5, 6 years? I say mainstream because anything I've heard lately that wasn't played on any radio stations has been almost as good as before during this same time period. No matter what any of the super street gangsta rappers/producers (who like to talk about how hardcrore and street that are) say, the real people who are 'running the rap game' are the amazingly white Jewish label bosses. All the grandstanding and bragging is just noise. (Ok so I don't know if they're actaully all Jewish but... hollywood)
  8. Jimmy Page says Presence is his favorite album.
  9. Jesus Christ, did you know Stacy Dash is 40?! That I didn't see coming. And I don't find Eliza Dushku that hot any more, but a few years back she was damn fine.
  10. I dig "In Through the Out Door," but I'd tie it with "Presence" as Zeppelin's weakest (not counting "Coda"). I still like both albums though. All of my Love is a great song. Yeah the synths date it but I still love the atmosphere. Fool in the Rain is kind of neat, but the guitar solo is just a trainwreck, and not in a good way. In the Evening just kicks so much ass. The main guitar riff the last of those iconic riffs that Page came up with, it's up there with Heartbreaker/Whole Lotta Love/Rock n Roll and the others. There's an amazing version of it on that live Zeppelin DVD that came out a couple years back. It's trippy seeing Page use a Strat on that song. But yeah ITTOD was definately Jones' baby so it does have a different feel from all the other albums, which were all Page. Jimmy was just completely strung out on drugs when they recorded it.
  11. If you're talking about the first tidbit, then I doubt it's Henry. More like Guy Gardner or something retarded. Yeah, who else from the JLI is left to kill? (Can't be Fire, she's alive in Checkmate)
  12. Well met. Once I was in a club and ran into one of my friends who had been doing some sound work there earlier that night. So we were talking when one of the club owners comes over and starts talking to him and then this girl and her crew comes and sits down with us and eventually her and my buddy start talking and arguing over politics, and I'm just sitting there for a long time thinking to myself "dude, that's Nelly Furtado and he doesn't realize it." It was funny, he was being a total dick to her. I also almost knocked over Shawn Michaels in an airport and didn't realize who he was until my buddy pointed it out after we'd walked down the hallway.
  13. Each individual title are so far all self contained universes.
  14. It's been revealed that Iron Fist was impersonating Daredevil while Matt Murdock was in jail. Yeah, I know, but in issue 3 of Civil War it shows Murdock (not Iron-Fist-as-Daredevil) with Cap and the rest of the fugitives.
  15. Yeah, Brad Meltzer's writing this. It's pretty funny checking out the differences between the original cover and the new one. They're mostly exactly the same except for a few key differences. The one's I've noticed are: -Flash and Red Tornado have switched spots, but they've also traded poses. -Same for John Stewart and Black Lightning (BL is in a new costume too) -Arsenal has replaced Green Arrow's spot (and pose) -All of the 52 leads have dissapeared from the cover (Ralph, Animal Man, Adam Strange, Question) -Booster is gone -Fire is in 'fire' form -Kyle is in Ion form -Nightwing is missing from the original cover, but is on the new one. Can anyone tell me who the guy he replaced is? -Black Canary and Zatana's costumes are slightly changed -A couple dudes from the far back right who I don't know are missing. -The 'old Aquaman' has been replaced with Guy Gardner (moved from the back row) So the changes can probably be explained by the fact that the original was a pre 'One Year Later' DC roster. Which is funny because of course Nightwing is missing on the original one because he's rumoured to die in pretty much every DC event.
  16. So what if you're Arab, East Indian, or Native American?
  17. Vixen has a fan following: she was the only member of the Detroit JLA who fans didn't hate and was quickly snatched up for a prominent run in the pages of Suicide Squad when DC wiped out the Detroit JLA. Plus she fucked Batman, which gives her cool points.... Didn't they kill off the rest of Detroit JLA at the end of that run?
  18. This is super lame. I'm in.
  19. Yeah, you can read the Civil War miniseries alone and get some enjoyment out of that, but you'd really have very little of an idea as to what's going on. The ironic thing is that Millar and Quesada are always going on about how Marvel crossovers are so 'nicely contained' and easy to get into while DC's are giant messes. Which is such bullshit because you could pretty much read Infinite Crisis alone and get it because it actually explained all the plot points inside the series. Whearas with Civil War you get all this shit going on between issues that just appears unexplained. Like "why's Cable here all of a sudden?" or "ok, why am I supposed to be surprised that Thor just showed up?" or "what's going on with Nick Fury." Or my favorite being the fact that Matt Murdock shows up as Derdevil in issue 3, yet in one of the crossovers going on at the same time, they mention that Murdock's still in jail.
  20. DC has put out a press release about the just announced All-Star Wonder Woman and announcing the fact that Adam Hughes is now DC exclusive. Will the series be awesome like All-Star Superman or crap like All-Star Batman and Robin? And unlike both of those, will it come out on time?
  21. Good roster, I love Hal and Black Canary being on the team. However, I CAN'T get behind the lack of Martian Manhunter, the dude is almost vital to the JLA in my eyes. Superman's face also looks fucked up in that cover, which is wierd because Turner usually draws a good Superman.
  22. Hilary Duff sure seems to be sure-fire box office poison. 2002 was the year of Eddie Murphy. He had I-Spy, Pluto Nash and some other horrible movie come out that year. Showtime I think. And if you guys want to see some real bombs, check out this article. http://entertainment.msn.com/news/article.aspx?news=131054
  23. I was thinking the exact same thing. I too was thinking the exact same thing. Looking forward to week 30, I was wondering if Batman's travels wer ever going to come into play in this series.
  24. Yeah exactly. It's possible your reciever/amplifier has a 'phono' input that you're not using, but if it doesn't you'll need an outboard one.
