  1. I remember my old roomates obssessing over "Strange Wilderness", and playing that annoying "laughing shark" clip over and over and over and...
  2. Today is MikeSC's birthday.
  3. That was great.
  4. So far, it's Portishead-Third Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds-Dig Lazerus Dig!!! Earth-The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull Nachtmystium-Assassins: Black Meddle, Pt. 1 Spiritualized-Songs in A & E Cut Copy-In Ghost Colors Boris-Smile Over the next few days, I'm going to give The Carter III a listen, as well as the new ones from Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Opeth.
  5. Don't be hatin' Smitty.
  6. Goddamnit.
  7. Come on godthedog, he sticks it to the Bush administration-by posting on a wrestling message board. If it weren't for Marvin and Marney, he'd be the worst poster on the CE folder at the moment.
  8. Wasn't feeling that one at all. So except for her dad, every male in town is a rapist or pervert of some sort? Talk about a straw cock argument. That's not feminism, that's some middle-aged guy screenwriter trying to act like he's feminist. And the sick mom, and the nuclear plant next door, and a protagonist named "Dawn", and always playing cheerful old family songs right after every dick gets bit off, arrgh too heavyhanded. How many times do you complain about sexism and misogyny in horror movies? Because you seem to do that a lot.
  9. Holy shit, that was a great episode. "Steve was our other guy on the inside. Code name: Pussyface." "Is that why he killed himself?" "Oh yea? Well, the Village People called, and they want you to go fucking kill yourself, you prancing bastard!" Also,
  10. Interesting (well, to me at least) that the dude who directed IKWKM did an adaptation of Jack Ketchum's "The Lost" before he did that, which is pretty damn good. Probably my favorite American horror movie of the year so far. The thing about "The Happening" that annoyed me was that there were moments where it feels like it's going to be a decent B-Movie, but M. Night fucks it all up. Isn't his next movie going to be a live action adaptation of a Nickelodeon cartoon.
  11. "Teeth" is a really fucked up and hilarious movie.
  12. The song "The Zoo" is proof that R. Kelly is either insane or a genius-probably both.
  13. I like Deltron 3030, but mostly because I like Hip Hop concept albums (well, not all of them *coughHipHopisDeadcough*)
  14. -Tim Russert died at 58 today. Dude was one of the last great Journalists around, and one of the few people in the news media that I have respect for. RIP man. -I'm going to my sister's graduation tomorrow. Should be fun. -I'm also going to give Lil' Wayne's new album a listen sometime this week. Does it live up to all the hype? -I'll go back to the worst horror movies of all time in the days ahead as well. I'm almost finished BTW.
  15. New episode, "The Invisible Hand of Fate", is up on the fix.
  16. Is that really the best rebuttal you've got? It's good because it's true. There's a reason the average American cringes whenever an actor opens their trap about politics: because 95% of the time, it comes off like something a spoiled trust fund kid would say. Even if it's correct, it's still obnoxious. Nobody takes that kid seriously. Therefore, nobody wants to hear a movie star like Cusack or Sean Penn has to say.
  17. Vampire Weekend-They aren't great, but they aren't horrible either. They are listenable at best. Everytime I think of R. Kelly, I think if Forest Whitaker saying "This guy is just pissing all over us!" As for Slipknot-they suck, but I'd say it's less sad than liking Insane Clown Posse or Hinder.
  18. I saw it last night. It may be the best comedy of the year, and he didn't even try.
  19. Dude was one of my favorites. RIP man.
  20. I agree. He's actually a politician now. John Cusack is not. Bit of a difference there.
  21. John McCain's new enemy. Because the world needs actor's telling them who to vote for.
  22. He looks like a rapist's mentally retarded brother/partner in crime.
