  2. You make me sad.
  3. I'm seeing them in Dayton this August.
  4. Nachtmystium-Assassins: Black Meddle, Pt. I Baroness-The Red Album Boris-Smile The Ocean-Precambrian
  5. The new Nachtmystium album is pretty great.
  6. I'm just a Juggalo, and everywhere I go People know the part I'm playing
  7. Lee Hazlewood & Nancy Sinatra-"Morning Dew"
  8. The new album form The Orb is a letdown. Also, am I the only guy who thinks the Fleet Foxes are just ok? I mean, they aren't bad, but they aren't worth the cock-gobbling they are getting.
  9. Why does this make me think of the "Beavis and Butthead" episode where Beavis is pregnant? Male Pregnancy is nothing new. Hell, it happens all the time on the internet.
  10. Yeah, that's the thing about Argento (as well as several other Italian horror movies), you either like them or you don't.
  11. "Deep Red" is an excellent movie. Fulci-Well, thing is, from 1972-1982, he did a string of genre and exploitation movies that are considered classics. "Gates of Hell", "The Beyond", and even "Zombi 2" (which I've finally warmed up to) are rightfully considered classics (I still don't like "House by the Cemetery" and "New York Ripper" though.) Then "Manhatten Baby" came in 1983, and that was the end of his winning streak. He produced nothing but crap afterwards (though "Zombi 3" is fun in a so bad it's good way.) Also, good to see some Soavi love. He was really the last great Italian horror director. We really need a thread about Italian horror movies and directors.
  12. I will agree his take on "Phantom of the Opera" is bad. As for "Suspiria" being incoherent-that's a point of the movie really. It's not a movie you watch for plot or characterization. It's a movie you watch for excellent set pieces, gore, great cinematography, and imagrey. It's not coherent because it's not really supposed to be. It's supposed to be the cinematic equivalent of a nightmare. The complaints about mean spirited towards women makes no sense to me. Horror movies have had females being killed for ages. Sure, its really violent, and women die in violent ways, but they do in many other horror movies as well. Haven't you ever read Hitchcock's explanation on why he liked to kill blonde women in his movies? Besides, if the movie was too violent to you, then you probably are approaching it the wrong way. If anything, the violence in the movie is exaggerated to-I'm saying it again-the logic of a nightmare. Basically, no offense, but if you can't get into Argento, then Italian horror probably won't be your cup of tea.
  13. I don't care what anyone says: "Hell of the Living Dead" is awesome. Sure, it's really bad (random stock footage, plot holes, bad dubbing, plagerized soundtrack) but it's like one of the best unintentional comedies ever made in that respect. It really is so bad it's good.
  14. "I call them vench-men. Get it? Like, Venture, and..." "yeah, I get it." Great episode, Hilarious (I never expected to see a Happy Mondays reference on a TV show) with plenty of character development. Plus, any villain based on Henry Kissinger is great. "Your powers can not touch me, silly billy"
  15. No, Argento is the man. Hell, he even produced Lamberto Bava's only good movie ("Demons")
  16. I normally don't care for Vice magazine, but this article is worth reading in a "what the fuck this is actually real?" way. Favorite quote(s):
  17. I have the Deadheads and Phish fans on lines one and two.... Being a fat greasy failure is still worse than being a hippie. Yeah, because hippies are never fat greasy failures. No, but they aren't trailer trash who fail to realize a shitty joke band isn't being serious and follow a band past it's experation date as far as the understandable age to like them is concerned. That's worse. Besides, several of the people who are fans of this group are in there 20's and 30's. At least some of the white trash kids from Highschool probably grew out of it and realized they were going through a phase. Others though, continue to be the same way throughout their lives. How can anybody honestly live like that? Juggalos are not only the lowest part of the music fan ladder, they are the one of the lowest rungs in the ladder of the human species. Sure, they rank below truthers, creationists, and pornography enthusiasts who collect a whole lot of porn, and the rank slightly above things like hentai fans and furries (the lowest rung of that ladder), but they are still pathetic beyond comprehension. If you are a Juggalo, and you are no longer in Highschool, you should kill yourself. You just described the internet itself.
  18. "From Dusk 'Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money" is a good example of how not to do a sequal. Horrible movie. Not even the Bruce Campbell cameo can save it.
  19. That's what officially made me hate them. Previously, I thought "They suck, but I really haven't paid attention to them, so whatever." Not until that came about. Anyways, I present to you the king of suck
  20. I have the Deadheads and Phish fans on lines one and two.... Being a fat greasy failure is still worse than being a hippie.
  21. I'm a sucker for old library music and old film scores. My favorite is probably Henry Mancini's score for " Touch of Evil."
