  1. Badass! I've been telling my girlfriend about this movie for a while, (in the so bad, it's funny, sense) so I'm looking forward to watching it in HD. Count me in!
  2. Who the fuck gets a tattoo on their forehead?
  3. I've watched some of the replays on Toon Disney, and it's still an entertaining show, IMO. The amount of violence in the show is pretty crazy considering what's currently marketed towards kids. Evolution was just OK, to me. I hated what they did with Apocalypse. The original X-Men series did it right, with Apocalypse always referring to himself in the third person with his usual self-righteous voice.
  4. I loved when they tagged and I loved that match on a Raw a few years ago with them chain wrestling. The chain wrestling match was just bizarre, but quite funny. The only good, (actually great) match I can remember these two having was their Extreme Rules match for the ECW title in Summer 2006. One of the few Extreme Rules matches from the new ECW that actually brought back memories of the old ECW for me.
  5. I'll agree with Conspiracy Victim. Final Fantasy X had a perfect ending, and they crapped it all away with the pile that was X-2. The ending is perfectly depressing, yet appropriate. The first time I played through FFX, I royally fucked-up my sphere grid. I had Yuna breaking the Damage Limit, and Auron hitting like a wuss, but being pretty quick in battle.
  6. The last Linkin Park album was an absolute turd, so I have very low expectations for anything new from them.
  7. Someone want to tell me why there aren't season sets available for the early 90's X-Men cartoon? There's little compilation DVD's available, but nothing in the line of seasons.
  8. LISTEN WHAT WE'RE SAYIN' IT'S FOR REAL NOT PLAYIN' FAAROOQ IS THE MAN SO HIT YOUR KNEES AND START PRAYIN'
  9. WE ARE THE NATION! LIVE AND IN COLOR!
  10. Put me in for the Final Fantasy X bandwagon. Not only do the graphics still hold up, over 6 years later, but it also has some of the finest music ever composed for a game. Opening Blitzball Scene, OTHERWORLD. Crank it up and bang your head to this motherfucker! Pretty much any version of "Hymn of the Fayth" Someday the Dream will End. A nice, mellow song that felt perfect in the game. The journey to the Zanarkand Ruins, and Tidus running after Sin following "Judgement". I'll also throw in the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack just for being the background music to one of the first RPG's I ever played all the way through.
  11. Damn shame really. I got a code for a free subscription from Matt Young earlier this year (thanks again, BTW). This magazine has become a real shit storm lately though. Ever since Hsu left, Mielke has used the magazine as his own personal podium to suck the cock of every shitty game that comes out of Japan. Probably the thing I'll miss most is Seanbaby's "Rest of the Crap" section in the back of the mag. RIP.
  12. Burke never really did anything for me. I got tired of seeing him vs Punk seemingly every week, there for a while. His role as young cocky black athlete could have been played by any number of other black guys on the roster. He had a unique finisher, but that was really all he had going for himself, IMO.
  13. I vaguely remember this episode. Would this involve some kids make fun of another kid, and saying something on the lines of "he thinks the Batmobile can drive up walls"?
  14. That's pretty rough. I thought WWE was kid-friendly now? Putting "nude" photos of the Smackdown GM online doesn't seem like a kid-friendly approach. Seems sometimes they can't make their minds up from one day to another.
  15. They may have sent Bam back to the Development fed. Could be why Golddust mentioned in his Christmas poem the other week that Jeff Hardy has more personality in one finger than in all of Bam Neely. Kind of funny that Bam has gone from beating the shit out of Kane when he was ECW Champion to being completely gone from TV.
  16. I'm sorry I even remember this, but IIRC, they had a match at the first Spike TV VGA's. Give me HBK vs 'Taker. Their 5 minutes together at the end of RR 2007 was fantastic. I'd like to see what they could do if given 15-20 minutes. I haven't visited this thread in a while. Was it ever 100% confirmed that Tomko is gone?
  17. Kamelot is supposed to be releasing a new album at some point this year, so count me in on that. Nightwish also has a new live album, and Leave's Eyes is FINALLY releasing their Double DVD/Double CD live set that they've been working on for close to 3 years.
  18. The whole Time Warner/Viacom thing reminds me of the Dish Network/Viacom spat from early 2004. The Dish Network CEO had his panties in a wad about Viacom wanting them to pay more for their stations. From what I've read, to pay what Viacom wanted, all they would have had to do is mark up each Disk Network customer's bill by 1 CENT FOR 1 MONTH. Still though, it seems this Viacom CEO is hard to deal with.
  19. I've only seen the 2 Hellboy films, and both are great.
  20. Happy New Year everyone. Here's hoping we get some good shows and new feuds this year.
  21. Transformers: Rise of the Fallen - for as many logic errors as the first film had, it was a hell of a ride. I'm psyched! Friday the 13th My Bloody Valentine 3d - I own the original on DVD. It's a classic in it's own right. I'm really excited for the remake. Terminator Salvation X-Men Origins: Wolverine Watchmen Saw VI - Seen the others, why not this one too. GI Joe
  22. A buddy of mine was telling me Kizarny is using some DDT variation where he wraps his legs around the opponents waist in mid-drop. That's just hear-say though, so don't read much into it. Sounds kind of odd.
  23. I will agree with you on that. Cena's STFU is beyond the point of being laughable. As I've stated time and time again, ever since Armageddon, I called bullshit when after 3 minutes in the Walls of Jericho, Cena magically escapes, locks in his poor attempt submission, and has Jericho tapping like a mad man within 5 seconds. It wouldn't be such a big deal if he actually cinched-in on the move. As you said, connecting his hands and flexing his biceps does not sell me on the effectiveness of this move. At WM 22, he had Triple H in a half-way decent STFU. He almost had Triple H in a cobra clutch prior to the submission win. With Shawn Michaels the following year, it looked like he was going to tear his knee out of socket, and he had his arms hooked from the side, to look like he was also trying to wrench his head off. It's little things like that, that go a long way. Not his usual "phoning it in" method of applying the STFU where he just lays on his opponents back, bends one leg at the knee, and puts him in a weak headlock. Here's another thing that I have questioned. With WWE's current kid friendly appeal, why is this man still using finishers called the FU and STFU? I know it's the whole name recognition thing and all, but yea. Also, in regards to Cena's LOUD, SCREAMING promo last night with Steph, how many 8 year-olds actually know why Harry Caray is?
  24. I would have liked to have seen HBK tell JBL to "do it", followed with JBL hitting the ropes and running full speed ahead only to be hit with SCM. Then, HBK could lay down next to him and drape JBL's arm over himself for the win. It would be a fun step-up from the slap last week, but as HBK said, he doesn't lay down for anyone. So, that idea's right out the window. So, redundant things I learned from RAW this week: Dolph Ziggler is undefeated, despite losing his "debut" match against Batista. Matt Hardy is the Smackdown's very own ECW Champion. (Tell me again why we have 3 rosters?) Manu can do a rather decent-looking moonsault. CM Punk apparently can't hear a referee over his head and the entire crowd counting along with each other. Kelly Kelly really knows how to pick 'em. She will go from one guy who treats her like shit, to another, to another. So, she told Kane that it was the Miz to "protect" Randy Orton? Honestly, what would Kane do to Orton at this point, aside from lose to him? Apparently, Mike Knox is a bully or something to that effect. If Orton DID get to pick Legacy's matches, Rhodes and Manu must have been awful pissed that they got a main-eventer, and an upper-mid card guy, while Sim got Charlie Haas.
  25. Blue Dragon is quite a fun RPG. I've yet to play Impact, but from what I've heard, I'll pass.
