I'm sorry, but this warrants some discussion

Loss aint here anymore? He use to make some solid observations imo. It is possible what you are saying. That's why I made the John Cena comment earlier. Austin having court and being an enforcer with John Cena on the show is a damn conflict. How in the world could Austin of all people be doing this when he was the man who broke all the rules during his hey day. Just like I mentioned that they drop hints, but not really drop hints. Turning Austin PC to combat Cena may be pretty damn interesting to say the least. There are some here who hate Austin's hypocrisy as it is. -
Supposedly, it was Vince forcing her on tv and she doesn't want that kind of spotlight again At least she didn't show up at ONO trying to make claims of owning the company like 3-4 years ago Maybe they "get it".

One and Only "ECW: One Night Stand" Thread

From reports it seems like Heyman's comments on JBL weren't planned. So, he should have called him a Nazi Bastard. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, I'm talking about the "shooting" on Blue Meanie. -
Actually, I was going to bring up Stephanie Mcmahon in all of this, but why spoil a good discussion. I can see her in a big storyline involving HBK and Angle. Look at their characters and see what I mean. They even brought up Steph already.

Hell, this could just be a worked shoot to get JBL more over. I mean wasn't that one of ECW's strong points in making angles this? -
HBK and HHH have a past, so if done correctly that could fly. Kurt Angle and HHH though? I guess they can tie their past with the love triangle. HBK and Angle can become buddy buddy after their match somehow. However, we all know all men are in the group for selfish reasons and the implosion could happen anytime. I don't think HHH would become face with HBK and Angle. The fans would cheer those two much quicker than HHH. Flair as a working member though is crap and even he would get cheered over HHH.

I guess he's just conditioned to the illogic booking of the wwe. I mean, he did turn heel out of nowhere at WM 17(although there were hints from his return, but they didn't really drop hints of it and it didn't play into his heel turn promo). -
I see where you're coming from, but if HHH has a big picture of him becoming the evolution of Ric Flair the 4 horsemen angle could work. HHH is in double digits already. Who knows with this creative staff, but I could see HHH actually taking over the 4 horsemen and smashing Flair's record. This is one instance where I think HHH will garner legitimate heel heat. Ric Flair stating he would want Angle and HBK apart of a new 4 horsemen would be his way of protecting the legacy of the group with proven and marketable main eventers. Cena against this group would be interesting, but I think they would have to build Cena and the group up more. I say the earliest would be WrestleMania next year.

You know, I should get some credit for bringing this up first in another thread at least The Hell in a Cell aspect IS kind of suspect. That set up IS vintage 4 horsemen. Just to add an another rumour to all of this. I've seen reports that HHH and HBK will both be going over to smackdown. The monkey wrench is Kurt Angle is now on RAW and as some have stated once someone is drafted he/she can't be drafted back unless they use the trade deadline thing. It would open up the main event scene for John Cena on RAW with Austin in an enforcer role like monday.

I wouldn't mind RAW and ECW being the brand extension either. They already have HHH calling smackdown the minor leagues as it is. Of course, there are pitfalls of trying to live up to ECW's legacy on a weekly basis with monthly ppv shows. The fans may turn on it like they have on the brand extension crap(and yes the fans have turned on this idea imo comparing business prior to 2002 and after although I think the brand extension is needed to a degree). -

I don't know if that line was any indication, BUT if this is Austin's new role to have court and enforce the law I just want to see the crowd's reaction when he tries to PC John Cena. -
It makes sense now. HHH stole it from HBK just like he stole how to play politics

Damn, I thought they stopped doing shoots on ByteThis? You know what would be really funny? If they came out with wcw related stuff and it did even bigger numbers. I mean wcw was more popular than ecw with the mainstream, but of course we know why. Vince would be pissing himself trying to explain away a monster buy for wcw and strong dvd sales. If they really do it wwe professional style with packages and whatnot, I'm sure fans would pick it up. -
HHH actually STOLE that line from Hulk Hogan. He used it on Jimmy Kimmel Live last year.

Saba Simba, LOD, and Texas Tornado Yep, all well-known wrestlers at the time with name changes of ridiculous proportions and for no real reason. Akeem The African Dream anyone? Slick was boss though -
zyn081 ***Oh, I think that will happen when he breaks Flair's record Did you pick up an advanced script?

HUH? I just wanted another post about how he would book Hassan into the illuminati thing he has in another thread . As for Hassan, I'm surprised they haven't gone Bret Hart/NOD type of racial crap yet. Or how about the Lawler/Bret/Jap nonsense from a decade ago. Trust me, I hope this is all that the wwe has to worry about or get as dreadful with this character. -
I'll do you one better.................... It's out in 2 weeks!!!! http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...?v=glance&s=dvd

ECW on UPN?!? Are you insane? If they want an ECW show it has to be on cable. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know I forgot it's friggin UPN. You're right. -

One Night Stand DVD release date I haven't seen this reported anywhere yet, so I may actually be breaking a story. I work at Suncoast Video - we pass the price gouging on to you - and I was looking through our Special Order list which detail the hundreds of smaller niche titles being released in the next month or so. It seems that the WWE is intending on capitalizing on the ECW mania while it's fresh in everyone's mind because, according to this, One Night Stand will be released on DVD on June 28, 2005, a mere two weeks from today, and easily the fastest turnaround time for a WWE PPV ever. Again, I'm not 100% sure if it's official, so take the news with a grain of salt, but I can never remember the WWE giving us a date that didn't hold up. ***** I copied and pasted this from a poster elsewhere, so take it with a grain of salt. Vince definitely is going to make a coin off this ECW stuff. I also did not get any mental picture that this was ecw's last show ever. Of course, I'm damn cyncial because I know how this company operates watching for all these years. I was just surprised the event has been praised for delivering with its high anticipation. -
The OAO RAW Thread for June 13th, 2005

Just peg that down to wwe creative being inept once again. This whole HIAC match storyline is dumb. They rushed the Batista/Flair dynamic. They could have easily used Flair as the lynchpin for making the match. HHH should not be the one challenging the champion when he's not even a top contender anymore after losing the rematch. On top of that Batista accpets the match when he of all people should know why Hunter did what he did. Then take into account last night they admitted to the house show circuit title matches when Hunter told Angle he was in touring the world in title matches, while he was trying to rape Sharmell. Then to top that we have Angle in a title match supposedly next week and he was just jobbed out to Booker on smackdown. I didn't even like Jericho getting a title shot the way he did. What happened to his don't care attitude in the last few weeks? He gets rewarded a title shot just for attacking Cena? Yet, in the gold rush tourney he stated he didn't get a title shot in 3 years on RAW. Real stupid storytelling here. -

Well, if HIAC with Foley in 2000 and HBK last year are indication, THIS IS NOT THE LAST MATCH. I wouldn't be surprised if this damn feud gets carried over to smackdown. -
Undertaker (3-disc), HHH (3-disc), Ladder Matches
Promoter replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
They mentioned that in wwf magazine in 98. They said Taker had called himself Kane The Undertaker originally as a tribute. though at survivor series 1990, Dibiase clearly calls him The Undertaker. (the funnier part is when Monsoon I think actually called the tombstone by that name, which was dumb cuz he wasn;t supposed to know anything about the newcomer. that and that version of the piledriver was rarely used and didn't have a name till taker came about, which is part of his legacy to wrestling, as he basically named a move) It would be cool to have that match as an extra as well as some footage of him being called Kane, but what can you do. actually I think it would be cool if WWE put out a best of superstars and challenge dvd set. but that will probably be saved for 24/7. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, I think that footage was doctored. I could be wrong, but the live show had Dibase saying Kane The Undertaker. For some reason I remember that and when I saw later footage wondered why it was edited. This is one instance I will admit myabe it's my imagination since it was so long ago. -
Come on now. We all know the only reason Flair's employed is to kiss HHH's ass If HHH moves, so will Flair somehow. The GM can do trades until the end of the month don't forget.
