  1. WCW matches? OH YEAH!
  2. What? No Road Wild matches? Fie, for shame.
  3. Could Jordan be replacing Heidenreich as Taker's next feud?
  4. Reminds me of Bob Armstrong's tights from the late 80s.
  5. I'd say HHH swinging it like a baseball bat and hitting Big Show IN THE HEAD to help Rock + Sock win a Buried Alive match back in 99 did it, IMO.
  6. I posted this because I know that people in both areas would be interested in relation to ticket sales.
  7. WWE No Mercy will now be held on October 3 at the Continental Arena in East Rutherford, NJ. As recently as last week WWE.com showed the PPV as occuring as Washington, DC's MCI Center. This is the 2nd 2004 PPV that the WWE has scheduled and then changed its location; June's Bad Blood was originally booked for Louisville, KY before being changed to Columbus, OH.
  8. I can see HHH getting the job back the next month at Unforgiven.
  9. Plus, I think it was pointed out earlier that this particular pharmacy was the only one within 20 miles or so, so the pharmacist leaves people with no choice but to drive another 30+ min to go get the product. I think that's why this story is an issue; if he was in the heart of Chicago and was one of 50+ pharmacies I doubt this would be a story at all. Also, it's kind of a psychological thing. We EXPECT stores to carry these products, much like we expect a supermarket to carry bread or apples. It's like people assume that this is somehow government-mandated that stores MUST sell certain products. When they don't (and people see that they didn't have to in the first place), that's unsettling to some people.
  10. Don't bother speculating on the significance of this poster..because there is none.
  11. Go see The Manchurian Candidate; it's a fantastic thriller!
  12. PM me if you want their new album.
  13. I think it was beer; IIRC he was supposed to hit Bradshaw as Bradshaw was about to pick someone up for a powerbomb. EDIT (courtesy of slashwrestling.com's CRZ): ACCOLADES v. HOLLYS (with Scale Holly) in a Hardcore rules match - Oh boy, Lilian's back, and mushmouthing tag team names in new and exciting ways again! It only takes a whopping fourteen seconds to get all four men AND referee "Blind" Teddy Long outside the ring and over the barricade. To the concession stand we go! Popcorn machine! Straw dispenser! The Acolytes take turns drinking beer (big pop!) - Hardcore turns the tide on Faarooq with a bottle shot. Bradshaw with the deadly COTTON CANDY shot (which Ross says "won't hurt anybody"). Crash is out of the picture, Bradshaw over to turn the tide on Hardcore. There's a bottle in the back for HIM. They're on top of the bar and Bradshaw is ready to try a piledriver - VISSSSSSSSCERA is out, but (oops) slips on the beer on the floor. But at least his pants stay on! Somehow he manages to get up and still break his 2x4 over Bradshaw's back before he can pull off the move. Bradshaw falls backward into a table - Holly covers and Long counts 3. (2:39)
  14. When commentating on heat he said he was a 22 time hardcore Champion. He is, but using my system of measurement the Hardcore title is only counted 5x. And he was actually a 27-time champion.
  15. They fought in 1991 and in June 2003.
  16. Oh, and Dusty Rhodes' Flip, Flop, 'n Fly is a combo of 4-5 left-handed snap jabs, a dance, and a right hook to the temple. Bubba Dudley used it a lot as a face.
  17. (NOTE: The NWA Title is worth 5 and the WCW Int'l Title is worth 4. The NWA World Tags are also worth 4. Aside from his NWA reigns, I'll stick to the 'Big 3' titles he's held, including their JCP lineage where applicable. And while I'd usually count all 25 of his known World title reigns, I'll avoid using the Jack Veneno/Victor Jovica phantom reigns. Ric Flair: WWE (2x) = 10 WCW (8x) = 40 NWA (9x) = 45 WCW Int'l (2x) = 8 US (6x) = 24 WWE World Tag (2x) = 8 NWA World Tag (3x) = 12 Rumble (92) = 4 Ric Flair: 151 (...not counting his Mid Atlantic Tag, M-A TV, or NWA Missouri State title reigns...)
  18. They changed the coverart recently, but that hasn't stopped a lot of diehards from loudly complaining about the set. Some films have no commentaries, while 'uncut' versions of the films were promised and won't be delivered. Plus, deleted scenes will be on Disc 5 (Extras Disc), not with the movies that they're from. But hell yeah, I'm buying it.
  19. Triple H: WWE (x5) = 25 WCW (x3) = 15 IC (x5, count 4) = 16 Euro (x2) = 6 WWE Tag = 4 Rumble (02) = 4 KOTR (97) = 4 Triple H = 74
  20. Well, I figure it's better to have a definitive way to know who's the better champion than to spend 14 pages arguing about Benoit.
  21. Weren't those belts just different belts with some touchups done by a WCW stagehand? Plus I'd have to say I doubt they'd make replicas for belts used for less than 6 months. It would be cool though. They were made by the WCW crew and an Atlanta trophy shop, but they weren't made of other belts.
  22. And why not Benoit too, to complete the trifecta.... WCW (2x) = 10 US (2x) = 8 WWE IC (4x) = 12 WCW TV (3x) = 9 WCW Tag (2x) = 8 WWE Tag (2x) = 8 World Tag = 4 L-H = 2 Royal Rumble (04) = 4 Chris Benoit = 65
  23. So, using my ranking system, let's see how great Guererro really is... WWE Heavyweight title = 5 WWE United States Title (2x) = 8 WWF Intercontinental title (2x) = 8 WWF European title = 3 WCW Cruiserweight title (2x) = 4 WWE Tag Team titles (2x) = 8 ECW Television title (2x) = 8 Eddie Guererro = 44 Now, let's compare that to Kurt Angle. WWE title (4x) = 20 WCW title = 5 WWE IC = 4 WCW US = 4 WWE Euro = 3 WWE Hardcore = 1 WWE Tag = 4 KOTR (00) = 4 Kurt Angle = 45
  24. Why not use a ranking system based on points to determine who's a 'greater' champion? Here is my ranking system: WWE/WCW/ECW Titles: WCW or WWE - 5 IC, US, ECW TV - 4 Tag (RAW or SD!) - 4 Euro or TV- 3 ECW, ECW Tag - 3 L-H/Cruiserweight - 2 Hardcore - 1 WWE/WCW Special Events: Royal Rumble or KOTR - 4 World War 3 or Battlebowl- 3 -Now, you can all see where this could rank Steve Blackman or Raven over Edge or Jericho, so there ARE limits on how many times you can 'count' a title in this equation (to reflect the shorter title reigns of today). WCW, WWE, ECW titles - unlimited (a World reign is a World reign) IC, US, ECW TV - 3 times max Euro or TV - 3 times max WWE/WCW/ECW Tag - 4 times max L-H/Cruiser: 3 times max Hardcore - 5 times max ---------------------------- Whaddya think? IMO this could clearly settle who a 'better' wrestler is by basing it on title reigns.
