  1. Is there a ROTY award for East and West, or just one?
  2. God damn Bulls are ruining any chance Ariza has for ROTY, even though I think I'm forgetting somebody whos an obvious choice.
  3. Knicks need to get the lottery, their going nowhere. Wait, do the Knicks even have a first round draft pick?
  4. He doesn't run as fast as Vick, but for the fact hes atleast 75+ pounds bigger than him, Julius Pepers is one HELL of an athelete.
  5. *sigh* The only thing a Knick fan can be happy about is the fact Ariza is turning into a stud.
  6. I don't condone what he did if its true, but my god thats hilarious.
  7. No Tiki love? Bah to that. He had the highest % of yardage for his team, more than anybody else in the NFL. Lead the NFC in total yards, lead the Giants in recieving, 1400+ yards rushing ect ...
  8. I might be a sucker for these things, but I really liked it. I'm not really into poker, but how in the world could that cop have been cheated?
  9. Oddly enough, I heard a couple of rumblings along those same lines today, except that it was Torii Hunter that was the player in question. I'd take Beltran over either of them, though. Do you have a link?
  10. I don't hate Giambi. I mean, I don't like what he did, but hes still human, and people make mistakes. Honestly, if he turns back into the old Giambi this year (highly doubtful) Yankee fans won't care. I really do hope something is worked out.
  11. I'm praying for a buyout. If I were Giambi, theres no way I'd be able to take the heat from the fans and NY media. Also, I was thinking about this today, and I really feel bad for Mike Mussina. They should him name him "almost" or somthing. ALMOST won 20 games, ALMOST won a WS ect ..
  12. 1. Less money. 2. I'm pretty sure hes just as good D wise as Beltran, minus arm strength. 3. He gets on base a shitload, and can set the table for the rest offesnse. I'd still take Beltran obviously, but Pierres nothing to cry about. EDIT: About the Yankees payroll. Isn't it going to go down next year? Considering Bernie, Brown, Karsay, Gordon, Stanton are all off the blocks.
  13. Beside the money factor, does anybody think the Yankees held off Beltran for the fact Juan Pierre is a FA next year?
  14. Even if I wasn't a Yankee fan, if the Yanks come in and scoop up Beltran, and inturn screw the Mets, that would be prtetty god damn funny.
  15. Beltran says no to Stros. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1962630
  16. From Article: The Astros and the Mets have offered Beltran 7-year deals in excess of $100 million, with the Mets believed to be offering more at $112 million. But with no state income tax in Texas, the offers are almost identical.
  17. I'd take Jeter from May - September from last year over Beltran. Jeter battled .350 during that time. Problem was he batted .190 for a month and a half. He ended up at .292, an a miracle at that. And if anybody says anything about Jeters contract, I think it was signed in 99, where he had a career year. I have doubt in my mind that everyone expected him to do even better after that.
  18. I thought they should have put Miguel Cabrera on level with Beltran. He had a monster year, and hes what, 21?
  19. edit: double post
  20. Giants schedule isn't that bad, compared to how unlucky the got this year with games against the Falcons, Eagles, Steelers, and Ravens back, to back to back to back. Are home schedules a bitch, against Philly, Denver, Minnesota and St. Louis. I'd like to say we'll sweep Skins and Boys at home, but I doubt it. Arizona and San. Fran are really the only games I feel confident in us winning. And dammit, Eli vs Peyton needds to happen.
  21. I hate the Knicks. I don't watch many bad teams, but I have never seen such an inconsisten team in my life. First it was over the course of games. Now its over the course of quarters. We came out flat last night, not really a big suprise, with pathetic D. All of a sudden, mid way through the 3rd quarter, like a on and off switch, the Knicks start playing great D, with JYD, Nazi, and K. Thomas guarding Webb great down low. Its kinda even in the 4th, but due to some HORRIBLE foul calls, especially the BUTT foul on Nazi, we blow it when Tim Thomas blows a lay up that would have gotten the defict down to 1. On top of that, Sweetney sprains his ankle. I'm starting to seriously hate this team. Even though the team is a lot better than last year, I had a lot more fun watching them last year when they could actually PLAY defense. Marburys been better on D lately, but hes playing so much this season, I have a feeling hes going to get burnt out. T. Thomas can't play D for his life, neither can Houston. Nazis ok in patches, and Kurt is amazing for the fact hes guarding guys 2-3 inches taller than him every night. I just WISH, and PRAY they could show NY something that could make fans think they have a chance of going anywhere.
  22. Yankees re-sign Sturtze to a one year deal. yay!
  23. Mets can have him then.

    NFL Week 17

Randel El is really someone to cry about. Also, he had BOTH Bettis and Staley for parts of the season, PLUS an awesome D.
