yeah, spot on with that assessment for both 13 Ghosts and House On Haunted Hill...I liked them until the last few parts when it all went to shit...the concept of the 13 Ghosts was pretty cool.

That live action release was the biggest disapointment. I loved the animated version in my mescaline days, and was so stoked about a live action version ... and then I saw it. Ugh, was that painful! even though it's one big jumbled non-sensical mess, the animated movie gets viewed at least twice a month in my household! My kid pulled it out of the DVD cabinet and wanted to watch it...you know, cartoon and all...had to tell her no, unfortunantly!

animated or live action? the live action one is pretty craptastic save for Kenshiro's ass clearing in Shin's castle as well as their final battle...oh and Chris Penn was in it!!! COMMANDO~! yeah, he can certainly tone it down...I think simply pointing to the sky on big wins and maybe one brief shout out to Eddie upon winning the world title (if that ever happened) is good enough...can't blame him for the Eddie chants, but he doesn't need to encourage them to continue....perhaps it's time to lose the "EG" armbands as well.

Rey's story writes itself, I don't know how many different ways I can type it out: his best friend died, his close friend went out with serious injuries, he's mad crazy over, he's the underdog...they've made hit movies based on similar situtations!
