JR kept calling him Carribean Cool Carlito so they decided it was too complicated for him and shortened it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They shortnened it long before he came to Raw. I think the change came when he was injured. They thought the name was too long to get the point across so they simply started calling hom Carlito. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think dropping "Carribean" would have been enough...keeping "Cool" makes more sense, since it ties directly into his gimmick... EDIT: didn't Ric Flair refer to him by his real last name, "Colon" (sp?), this past monday or was I hearing things? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Carlito Cool? Cool Carlito? The 'Caribbean' saved it. At least it gave him some excuse to have that accent. refresh my memory, who did the Patriot and Marcus Bagwell beat for the tag titles (it was Patriot and Bagwell right? For some reason I keep thinking of 2 Cold Scorpio and Bagwell)? Also, didn't Bagwell and Riggs upset someone for the tag titles as the American Males? I would say any title win by Bagwell prior to his Buff phase would be considered an upset...

Finally, this season is back on track...pretty solid episode...the Carver officially creeps me out now, can't wait to see next week...my money is still on Costa, though that would actually be kind of a letdown. I know they try to pin it all on Christian next week, but he's obviously not the Carver either...the bits with Matt were actually tolerable and I couldn't help but feel for Sean with the bullshit he had to put up with concerning his daughter, glad Julia actually took his back rather than shit all over him like she usually does...

what opportunities? they did nothing with his win over HHH, his athletic abilities that he's displayed time and time again and his match against HBK...those were the only real opportunities he's had and it wasn't HIS fault nothing ever came from them...I blame the WWE for his booking during his IC title run, certainly not Shelton...
