  1. Philly could use one, seeing as the capable but yet to prove himself Nittymaki is on a one year deal, which basically means under Clarke "Fuck you if you don't win 30 games". How much is Legace going for? He was a perfect back-up to Hasek/Cujo in the sense that he could win when asked and didn't mind being on the bench. Is he ready for it? Granted, I could play goalie for the Wings and win, but can he assume a starting role? I think he can, but GM's around the league might think otherwise. I'll say that he's the best goalie still on the market, ultimately. Nabakov and Giguere might price themselves out of the market. How much is Giguere asking? It's gotta be a tonne if they're leaning towards "More Goals than Vowels".
  2. Was Miz wearing the HC title outside Mysterio's dressing room? Anyone notice the crowd sign of Michael Jackson's mugshot?
  3. It's ben ten fucking years since Bailey's double gold at the Atlanta Games. The Score and Sportscentre have done good compilations of the greatest moments in Canadian sport.
  4. Blasphemy. Go buy a Faygo Cola and drink it. Then tell me you didn't cum in your pants. Shit's amazing. For best results drink it while smoking a menthol cigarette. Shoulda recommended the Strawberry. The cola is so-so. Either way, 2L for .99? How can that be topped? I've never seen Fresca anywhere, outside of a sitcom I saw on ABC in 1994 on a Tuesday night. Might have been Grace Under Fire. It was also an answer in a Family Feud computer game I had as a kid. Is it just a U.S. thing? On that note, I originally read Fresca, which I find is now pretty rare as well. Damn shame too. There used to be a convenience store where I lived growing up that sold both Fresca and Yoo-Hoo. Not the case anymore. They now have neither. Carnival defending Faygo? Who'da thunk it?
  5. I remember about. I thought it was in B.C. or Alberta, but not like it matters where it was. Always makes me laugh when I think about that. Jonquiere, Quebec. A "Hometown Store" they're called in Wal*Mart lingo. They voted, and the store promptly shut down, citing "financial difficiculties", (which isn't that farfetched, as hometown stores are usually break-even or slightly better). But come on. We've gotten a lot of propoganda since then about unions and what not. Some of it has been pretty shamless, stuff that started with "We respect your right to choose, and if you'd like to implement a union, you're more than welcome to. But here's ten reasons why it's bad" According to similar literature given to us, union reps have tried to, in unnamed stores: -Get on-the-clock employees to break into the personnel office and get employee/financial records -Get female employees to meet union reps alone in hotel rooms. -Two employees were physically assaulted by union reps in the parking lot. Some of this is getting a little excessive, as it's always posted in our lounge and amongst our pay stubs. We don't need a union by any means, but we're getting a bit bombarded.
  6. *Is still confused by the CBA. They have to do this by when? First game of the year? First game of THEIR schedule? Opening of training camp? Playoffs?
  7. It admittedly went over my head....see above, but Supplies Party keeps it from being a blow-out.
  8. Someone forward this to Czech. He's gotta have a sitcom for this somehow. A well-meaning special ed teacher in Shanghai wants to put his mentally retarded students to good use by having them work in a kitchen. It's called Dumb As A Wok. Dumb As A Wok is good, but below your level. I would have expected the well meaning special ed teacher putting them to work as rickshaw pullers for City Taxi who just can't catch a fare as they hilariously mispronounce the name. Mr. Rant > Czech...pending my reading of the Viatnemese Casino.
  9. Tell me more about a choco-taco.
  10. I'm intrigued by Markov, who has lots of potential...and has for about six years now. Gomez to Phoenix scares me. That's already my darkhorse team this year. Any news on Briere and Buffalo? I know arbitrator said 5 mil. Didn't Buffalo have 48 hours to decide(which would be in a few hours).
  11. My buddies marking out of the "dream roster" of WCW: NWO Revenge for N64 got me thinking: Discounting age (i.e, one worker being green still, one being over the hill, etc.) and things like backstage issues, bad gimmicks, etc., can anyone one fed/year have an ultimate dream roster? Obviously, this is all pretty well based on personal preference but, if you could re-write history as a booker, knowing what each performer would become:(and I think managers/on-camera performers could be a variable). 98 WCW should get some mention: Hogan, Savage, Sting, Giant, Benoit, Eddie, Malenko, Jericho. On the drive home from work, 92 WWE was pretty tough to disagree with Flair, Hogan, Hennig, Savage, Taker, Harts and Bulldogs. I'm ultimately saying 97 WWE: Hart, Michaels, Austin, Taker, Kane, Vader, Rock and HHH.

  13. Yeah, that'd be a first anywhere I'd have to think. Not trying to keep my half-assed political corectness up, I see? Kidding.
  14. Out of curiosity, YPV, is that guy in your sig from the animated COPS of the 80's?
  15. Meh. Check out that popcorn kid in Pictures I Like. That's the bar at this point.
  16. An older Asian couple was TV shopping today. Their daughter was retarded. I've never seen an Asian retard. Hell, a minority retard. Discuss.
  17. Florida signs Belfour and Roberts. I was wrong.
  18. That's "spelled." Wow. Good call. I feel shame. It's a good thing we have(at the office) a proofreader, who, interestingly, like Hitler, insisted to be left out of the debate. Also, yesterday, my grandparents and I discussed how proper the English was of ESL speakers, since most Canadians have a tendency to slur words together to the point it becomes commonplace, i.e 'em' as from him. This applies. Incidentally, she got a 'sorry, we can't credit you as it didn't effect your business. But it won't happen again.' A make-right, if you will KKK.
  19. Thanks for that. Bret Hart was fucking God that night. Yeah, that kinda ruined it for me too Kidding. That was one of the greatest moments I've ever seen in wrestling. Dude, I haven't seen that since it aired live.
  20. Wrestlemania 20 was noticeably absent from that list. Benoit's win (sorry to spoil, if applicable) was wrestling's equivalent of the 2004 Sox. Add to it a unique Cruiserweight match, perfectly entertaining 2 on 3 tag and more than enjoyable Angle-Benoit, and this is a good show all around.
  21. A realtor I do ads for DEMANDED a free ad because I spelt the following sentence: "This home features large principle rooms" She, along with the eight other people in my office, agreed it was "principal". IDIOTS!
  22. Yeah, I realised Bertuzzi wasn't coming back, or Carter for that matter. But there has to be a poor man's version somewhere for Vancouver to at least attempt to stop the bleeding. They traded for Tayler Pyatt, a 6'4 8th overall pick from 1999. Guy is an underachiever, but so was Bertuzzi when he was acquired. Pyatt is a LW though, so he won't be with the Sedins. He might get a shot with Morrison and Naslund. The sad thing about the Canucks is they have like 4 million left to sign like 10 players. This is why Bulis and Chouinard were odd signings, and even the trade for Pyatt. That's ~3.5 mil for what could end up as a bunch of 3rd/4th liners. Just out of curioisty, what was the trade? Bert and Mccabe for Linden? NYI = Cleveland Indians in Major League
  23. Likening John Cena to Toby Keith? As if I needed one more reason to hate him.... Anyone else catch Lawler dropping the "Too Much"?
  24. John Cena saying someone is stale and overdone? Hang on. Jesus is on the phone. Apocalypse to be here in 30 minutes or it's free.
