I wasn't saying that Myers doesn't draw as those characters, since he does, but I don't think many people say stuff like "hey, its that new Mike Myers Austin Powers movie", they instead say "Its a new Austin Powers movie". Obviously, no one could ever see anyone else play roles like Austin Powers or Wayne, but I just think that Myers doesn't draw outside of his landmark roles.

Thats the best thing about Rey's title run, it led to King Booker as champ, and reviving Booker's career. And I think Rey will get buried on Raw because there is always some guy every year in the draft that ends up being a flop. I mean, I just don't see Rey getting put over anyone major on the Raw roster.

Well, I didn't mean his WCW heel stuff in the filthy animals, since he didn't do anything heel like really. Plus he had his mask off then, so he wasn't going to get over anyway. I know there is zero shot of WWE turning him heel, but if done right, it could be interesting, as it can prove that just because a guy is a little man, doesn't mean he's a good guy when facing someone big. I think Rey came off like a heel in the Chavo feud in 06, and some of his spots seem heelish, like running from his opponent around the ring, and crawling through their legs and stuff.

I'm talking about the characters being good and well-written on their own (and sure Myers does have his jokes too) to where people like to see the movie because of the characters. Wayne is a funny character, Austin is a funny character, but in a starring vehicle like the Love Guru? Not so much.

Yes, Joe has been booked as one of the biggest moron babyfaces. Every week he whines and complains, and yells and screams about stuff to Nash, and Nash comes off very calm and collected, and much more smart. Joe gets fooled by every heel's mindgames, while Nash sees stuff coming from a mile away and warns Joe about it, but Joe doesn't listen to him. To be honest, I think in the eventual Nash/Joe title match, the crowd might cheer for Nash, since he's the one who comes off as the good guy right now, unless they turn him heel.

Yeah, I don't think Nash is the biggest star in the company or anything, but I would call Nash a big star since he gets paid a lot of money by TNA, and is always featured a lot on TV in important angles, like the 06 X-division stuff, and the current storyline of being Samoa Joe's mentor. I do consider Nash a bigger star than Booker though, and maybe even Angle, but yeah, he isn't a bigger star than Sting.

That's pretty damn funny. I might need to go back and watch that Raw to see the legit shocked reactions that Cena and Batista had.

I don't hate Titanic or anything, but I don't think its great either. I did think the visuals were pretty good though. And no, I have nothing against Leo, or the Celine Dion song. I think Leo's a pretty good actor really, but The Beach sucked ass.

Thats the thing with Titanic, and why a lot of people make fun of the movie. People went to seee it a bunch of times just for the hell of it, while TDK has repeat viewings because people thought it was a great movie and they wanted to see it again, and again.

Yeah, I remember hearing that too. It doesn't really shock me either, since I think he came off like a douchebag on TV while doing a sympathetic face gimmick. Was Gowan ever on TV before the Lesnar beatdown? Because I didn't watch WWE much in 03, and I suddenly just saw Lesnar attack him one night.

I think Batista/Cena will happen because they never announce a match officially and then change it unless if someone got injured. You think JBL deserves a title shot? Cena or Batista? Or Kane? I don't think so, since these guys have lost in title matches the last few months (although JBL did at least beat Cena on GAB), and most of those guys have had title matches against Punk on Raw, so they won't do it again at a PPV. Thats why I think Jericho will be the guy, since he cut a promo last week saying he's moving on to more important things, like going after the title. It would be a fresh match, even if they did face each other months ago in that King of the Ring tournament, although Jericho wasn't heel at that point.

True, but it just doesn't seem like Finlay to me. I think of Finlay as being a tough Irish brawler kind of guy, not a dude coming to the ring with a midget, happy music, rubber mallets, water guns, and a Riddler hat. I might sound crazy, but would anyone else like to see Rey as a little douchebag heel? I think it could work since Rey basically seems like a heel anyway since the Eddiesploitation stuff.

Once I saw that Rey got drafted to Raw, I knew he would be buried, since he was lucky to even main-event on SD anyway. I too think King Booker was the biggest example of a guy being drafted to Raw and made a jobber. Hell, right as soon as he heard he was being drafted to Raw, he wanted to quit the company because he knew he would be buried on that show. Kennedy was my pick last year to buried on Raw, and it came true, even if it was due to suspensions and injuries, I knew things wouldn't go right for him. The person I think Rey feuds with when he gets back is Noble.

Well, my hate for Orton does in fact run in the family, as all of us hate Orton and think he's the worst guy to ever be pushed as a main eventer. I do agree though, that they took the title off of him in the wrong match. It seems very odd for a guy to retain at a WrestleMania to lose at Backlash, especially these days, since people just think of Backlash as just being WrestleMania rematches and nothing more. Anyway, lets get back on track with the thread topic. I too think Finlay needs to go back to being a heel, as I think he lost his momentum since he turned face and became the re-incarnation of Doink/Dink with Hornswoggle. I really miss Finlay's early 2006 heel stuff.

I really just want them to go with Punk/Jericho for SS. They already have Batista/Cena scheduled, and they could have JBL/Kane at SS as well, just for a throwaway match, since I don't know what either guy will do.

I too could never get into Superman, I mean the first 2 Superman movies are alright, but I just thought they were too lighthearted. The animated series did seem pretty cool though from what I saw of it, as it had a very edgy tone, and had some pretty intense fight scenes.

If you think this remake sounds bad, wait till that Nightmare on Elm Street remake gets made (hope it doesn't). That will be a big example to not fuck with the classics.

Reynolds is the only reason to watch Blade Trinity. Its one of the biggest examples of someone carrying a movie on their back.

I really don't think Myers draws a dime outside of his franchise movies like Wayne's World, Austin Powers, and Shrek, and I wouldn't even say he draws money in those movies, since I think the characters draw money themselves. Look at his starring vehicle movies like "So I Married an Axe Murderer", "The Love Guru", and maybe others I'm forgetting, but no one gave a shit about those movies.

Making money worldwide doesn't mean anything really. It depends on the interest of the market the movie comes out in, so yes, in total every movie that comes out should make a profit worldwide (unless your Eddie Murphy), but the real accomplishment is making back your budget in certain markets, like making back the budget in the US, and making back the budget overseas means you had a smash hit, and will obviously have a sequel. But if the movie doesn't make back the budget in the US or overseas, then there just wasn't any interest in the movie in both markets. I'm still puzzled how Speed 2 made that much money overseas.

Yeah, TDK wouldn't beat Star Wars either with inflation. I'm puzzled by Shrek 2 making so much money, I mean, why? I didn't think the movie was any good, and I even liked the 3rd one better

Thats the thing with Reynolds, he hasn't been in a GOOD movie, but Van Wilder and Waiting are pretty fun.
