Names mean the most on their return when they return the first time. Bringing in Foley now and then bringing him back again for a PPV in a month or so won't mean anywhere near as much than if they held bringing back Foley just for the PPV.
-
It is stupid because each big name they bring back on Raw to get a ratings win that they will not profit from because USA get the ad money, is one less name they can use to draw buys on a PPV that they could profit from.
-
They've already gone into the overkill zone. Any more names and it's going to be even more stupid than it already is.

If Austin/Hogan is meant to begin the slow build to their WM match, then it shouldn't go on last, because then people will want the match sooner than it's going to happen. It should be placed in the middle of the show, so when they do begin the major build, it can be seen as the first part of a story that will then make sense when the full on build begins.

I thought the debut was pretty good for the most part. There were some negatives, understandable ones if you know the mindset behind them, but they were vastly outweighed by the positives.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Ryan Bennett (?) on the LAW just said that Ken Shamrock has signed with PRIDE and will face Kazushi Sakuraba in October. -
I'm wondering if Bret was asked about them using his footage, because I know he was only wanting to work with WWE over his DVD and not in promoting Raw.
-
They've got to have a big match to play off of the angles from the first Impact. As long as the finish isn't clean, then they can easily go back to it for BFG or whenever.

Meltzer is talking about the Warror DVD on WOL, as a lot of calls are about it. He confirmed the Hogan deal after their WM VI match was Hogan going into business for himself and his stealing the spotlight from Warrior. He also said that WWE intended Warrior to be their main guy in the 90s.

Really? I had heard he never married, but had no idea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In case you're thinking Haynes is gay, he isn't, that I know of. I'm just saying that one of Patterson and Garvin made no attempt at hiding their sexuality from Haynes in one infamous incident he's talked about.

Yep, say they start the match @ 9:00, The fans will catch the first five minutes and go "ooh, I'll catch MNF and return to this at 9:25 and see who wins"... 2/3 Falls match here with a double pin on the 3rd fall to set up a match at the ironman point in time would serve better. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's the same thing with every Iron Man match they've put on television. They'd be better off having a regular match that happens to go to a 30:00 draw.
-
They really are pulling out all the stops. And the Iron Man will drag the rating down.

I was playtesting some real life data from TEW2004, that was released earlier this year and I converted and fiddled with, and because I had only fixed up the New Japan data, I got this insanity: WWE fired Eric Bischoff and Bischoff took over ROH WWE fired a ton of other people, including Hogan, Steamboat, Austin, Masters and Heyman Everyone fired a ton of people, and the AI still creates a bunch of titles for each promotion for no reason. WWE hired Raven on Friday, and fired him on Saturday. Torrie Wilson beat John Cena for the WWE National title Terry Taylor took over HWA Todd Gordon is the new head booker for ROH Satoshi Kojima left All Japan and took over Osaka Pro. Antonio Inoki left New Japan and took over NOAH, even though he has a lifetime contract with New Japan.

Because he's a heel, and heels cheat.
-
It's not like WWE is heavily invested in their own character.
-
You could do just about anything, but if nobody finds out about it, you'll keep your job.
-
Except for Pat Patterson and Terry Garvin. Just ask Billy Jack Haynes.
-
At least you don't have that problem.

Percy has wrestled a few times, and so has Corny. And Corny does believe in clean finishes, to a degree. Does anybody have a report on what Cornette said about WWE? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He hyped this for months, making a big deal out of it only for it to be either Cornette or Pringle, 2 people who don't invoke credibility as "authority" figures who'll demand the end of cheap finishes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think most ROH fans will care about that. They'll be happy to have Cornette back as a semi-regular character.

He got into an argument with his wife, they were/are in the process of divorcing, over her wanting to take their daughter back to Germany, where she is originally from. They were at the hotel where everyone was staying at for WM XXI, and Rhyno threw this big flower pot around, breaking it. It caused a scene, Rhyno had to be taken to his room by Dreamer and a few others.

So it's been shot full of chemicals then. A fast food chain is not the kind of commercial I would think Triple H would do if he had a choice.

Did it just give out on you? You must have played that thing a lot, because I've had some systems for years and they still work fine.

The tourney in WCW was a complete work, as none of the matches counted for anything. The 'tourney' was still going on after Benoit vs. Ohtani had taken place, and when Bischoff would give results of matches in the tourny that had taken place in Japan he was making it up. The matches that they said were part of the tournament were more or less just random matches, and the whole tournament ultimately meant nothing. I don't think WCW really cared who was in the finals or anything about it, considering how it was treated for the first few months after it was created. See above. I don't think WCW cared who won the belt as long as it was someone that they could have a WCW guy beat in the US to win the belt. If the matches Bischoff had talked about as happening actually happened, it would have been a fantastic tournament.

If Triple H stopped wrestling, then WWE could get better, but they won't. It doesn't matter if Triple H is wrestling or not; unless the underlying problems with WWE are sorted out, then nothing is going to change, whether Triple H is around or not.
