Who the fuck comes up with this shit? Someone tell me how this angle is meant to make anyone want to pay see Undertaker and Orton wrestle.

Why the hell are the Legion Of Suck still tag team champions?

Two recently released stars buying tix?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to claydude14's topic in The WWE Folder
Those two need the whole damn band to drum up support. Jindrak was never getting it, and Morgan was ruined by some incredibly stupid booking. -
Is Shawn Michaels this generation's Ric Flair?

Exactly. There comes a point where you are so far off that there is no helping you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wish more people would get that very simple point. -

Making a pro-HBK post doesn't make you an idiot, that is true. Making a pro-HBK post where your argument is full of holes? That does. -
The Dames is one of a kind, I’ll say that much. I don’t know of anyone else, apart from Admin Mike, brave or foolish enough, depending on your point of view, to spend their hard earned money on a message board filled with the kind of crackpots that inhabit TSM. He knows a fair bit about wrestling, and he certainly comes across as a decent human being. I’m sure Leena would disagree, but whatever. JHawk knows his stuff when it comes to older wrestling trivia information, and his posts are worth reading when it comes to looking at wrestling’s past. I don’t think he’s posted a whole lot lately, which is a shame as he typically adds to whatever thread he posts in. PK knows what he talks about, and he from the Smackdown recaps of his that I’ve read he’s certainly worth reading. Another person who doesn’t seem to post as often as the board needs. Dave Scherer is one of the most disreputable and deceitful people that I’ve ever seen try to pass themselves off as a wrestling journalist. I think he let a newsletter of moderate quality go to his head and thought he was somehow qualified to set himself up as some kind of wrestling journalist. Like the website he used to write for, Scherer’s current site is notorious for trying to install spyware and adware onto your computer, which further cements his much deserved reputation for being a jerk. Bob Ryder is a jumped up travel agent who managed to bootlick and asskiss his way into a job with WCW. His shitty website, 1pop-ups.bullshit.imafatfuckwhomakesshitup.con, is legendary for trying install spyware and adware on your computer, and also for posting bullshit stories and not admitting to mistakes when they get found out. I wouldn’t beg this guy to spit if my eyebrows were on fire.

No, he puts everyone who repeats the same nonsense in every post on ignore. And he does know what he's talking about. The only ones being ignorant are those claiming that HBK is some kind of workrate god and a ratings draw, and calling everyone who argues with them a "HBK hater", or worse bringing up Bret Hart in every post even though he has absolutely shit all to do with the argument. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> MQ has it right. It gets tiresome having to wade through drivel written by clueless people such as you chaos. You can only read the ramblings of people who don't know what they are talking and whose arguments are specious at best for so long before you just get sick of it and don’t want to waste the time on them anymore. -
Bryan is another person who knows a lot about wrestling and understands it very well. Alvarez is very funny too, and Figure Four Weekly is always a great read. Bryan has his flaws too, mainly his idolization of Shawn Michaels; Bryan is constantly making excuses for Shawn’s weaknesses, and pretty much refuses to acknowledge Shawn has any weaknesses at all. That said, Bryan’s combination of humor and knowledge making him well worth reading and listening to. I’ve only ever read DVDR a few times, but the people on there come across as some of the worst dregs of the internet. I’ve heard there are some really good posters over there, and while there might be good posters there, the bad just completely overwhelms the good.

HTQ takes the pencil in the NWA in 1989

I usually make up names for the jobbers, though I do sometimes use actual enhancement talent. -
He's the guy that runs SmarksChoice. Not overly famous unless you frequent that site. He's not really a bad guy or anything, just a bit frustrating to discuss wrestling with. I've only read maybe a few posts he's ever made, and none of them stand out. He only stands out by not standing out, in that nobody talks about him. Anywhere.

You'll have to refresh my memory on Rob Edwards. The name is familiar.

Bob Jackson, aka Bobbins, is just a complete asshole. He adds absolutely nothing to any board I’ve ever seen him a part of. This jerk is far more concerned with shouting and swearing as long and as loud as he can just to make sure that people notice him than in actually adding anything of any kind of value to any discussion he is a part of. If Jackson spoke to people in real life the same way he spoke to them online, he would get the shit kicked out of him. If he ever stepped out from behind the keyboard, we’d see a very small and insignificant human being.

I'm still in the shooting mindset, so I'm open to more suggestions.
-
Now that you mention what he writes, I've seen Shapiro's name on the Observer site, but he hasn't made any real impression on me, so I'm guessing nothing that he's ever written has stood out.

Shoot away. Anyone else you want me to shoot on? How about Dave Meltzer. There aren’t many people who have the knowledge and understanding of wrestling that Dave Meltzer has. For all the negatives that can be said about Meltzer, there is no question that he knows what he is talking about when it comes to wrestling history and an understanding of wrestling. That said, Meltzer does have flaws when it comes to certain wrestlers, such as Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels. He tends to look at things too much from his own point of view, and not look at things enough from the point of view of others, and that can detract from the quality of his opinion. I don’t always agree with Meltzer’s opinions on matches and wrestlers, but his opinion on the historical aspect of wrestling, and the business side of wrestling, is usually spot-on.

If it's any one of those three, it'll be Daniels. Joe seems to still have the 'taint' of Zero One, and Styles has worked for Zero One as well as the Wrestle group, so that leaves Daniels. And Daniels at least has wrestled in New Japan.
-
Meltzer has speculated that a JBL title win could be possible, due to Batista not having to get pinned to lose the belt and WWE wanting to establish the new timeslot.
-
The three-man is ok, but it lacks a little something. It's not bad, but it's a step below the other two.
-
It can be, but if I've not heard of the person in question, I can't give an opinion on them. I’ve tried reading some of his work, but I couldn’t finish even one piece. Most of what else I know about SK is by reputation only, and the general consensus seems to be either that he was good at one time but he’s now lost a step, or that he was never that good to begin with and only got over because of how he wrote his trademark rants. Is this the same Herb whose articles from the 90s I’ve read lately in the General Wrestling forum? If so, I hope he’s improved since then, because those articles weren’t written by someone with a firm grip on reality. The name is familiar, but I can’t place it. Who is he? Scotsman seemed to be a real character in his heyday. I’ve read his site from time to time, and his feuds with various people were fun to read. Since he stopped covering wrestling, I’ve not heard anything about him, other than he apparently writes for some poker website. I’ve heard two differing opinions on Coey. The first is that he knows what he is talking about, but is a bit of a prick. The second is that he’s simply a prick. I’ve not had much first-hand experience with Coey, but I’ve read his postings on various message boards, and from what I’ve read I can’t say that he knows what he’s talking about because he’s too busy being a prick. If he knows what he is talking about when it comes to wrestling, I’ve not seen it, but others have said he does. Again, a familiar name, but I can’t place who it is.

I liked that Murdoch doesn't have the typical gassed up physique that the rest of the roster has. It helps him stand out.

Remmember when Rocky debuted in '96, everyone hated him and note just for his bland character, he was a green wrestler with basic moves in the ring. Not saying that Masters could be the next Rock, but we can't expect every guy these days to break out of the gate and take the audience by storm. Esecially with the restrictive nature of how WWE lays out matches. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Masters has been getting the superpush for eight months. He isn't over. Go back and watch his match with Tajiri a couple of months ago. Tajiri was more over, and he's been a virtual jobber for ages. Even the ECW chants during the match were louder than anything for Masters. Tonight, even after laying out Michaels with a chair shot and Michaels getting color there was very little reaction. I'm all for giving a guy a chance, but he's had eight months of a real strong push, and he isn't over.
-
I think we'll find out their feelings over Masters at Unforgiven. If Shawn wins clean, then the superpush is over. If Masters wins, we get another eight months of heatless segments involving the jacked up stiff.
-
It was ignored for obvious reasons, but the Masterlock was actually broken when Shawn rammed Masters face into the turnbuckle. The hold was clearly broken.
-
Even after all that, Masters still gets only lukewarm heat at best.
