Early Smackdown Taping (*Spoilers*)
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
If he's out of action for another three months, it makes no sense to start teasing his return match with Undertaker now, because WWE lack the patience and ability to hold the match off in a decent manner, and the casual fans lack the patience to wait that long for the match. And any word on if Orton followed Vince's advice and has been 'working out' ? -
Early Smackdown Taping (*Spoilers*)

Orton v Undertaker better be held off for a while, because the only logical finish is Orton going over clean, and if it's too soon after Undi does a job here, I can see Undi not feeling the logic. -
90% is a huge overestimation.

The OAO RAW Thread for June 13th, 2005
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in The WWE Folder
Make no mistake about it, certain ego's are going to go crazy if ONS outdraws Vengeance. While any and all money made from the PPV's goes to Vince, and Vince doesn't care what makes him money as long it does make him money, there will undoubtedly be people trying their damnedest to make sure Vengeance beats ONS purely to stroke their ego’s. It’s not just Hunter’s ego you’ve got to think about, but the writers in WWE. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that the writers have huge egos themselves, and they’re going to hate it, positively hate it, if an ECW show that they had almost nothing to do with outdraws a normal WWE PPV that they’ve been working 18 hour days on. If ONS had not got such a buzz coming off of it, would Shawn have returned and then they set up Shawn v Angle II with only one Raw to really build to it? Unlikely, given that it defies all logic that such a huge rematch would be virtually given away, and they know, or at least believe, that Shawn v Angle II could draw very well with a good build. Vince might not care what draws the most buys, but others do. And if Hunter is now the King Of Kings, does that mean he’s demoted himself from God to Jesus? -
The HART of Wrestling Beats Again
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to I like Forums's topic in General Wrestling
His reaction is both funny and sad, but for very different reasons that have nothing to do with each other. -
This could mean a decent reign for AJ. He and Joe had a pretty good match in ROH, and this could be a case of them bringing in someone that they know, from AJ, can have a good to great match with their champion.

Already in the works, apparently.

Is this proposed new Horseman stable meant to be heels? If so, count Shawn out of it. He refuses to turn heel.
-
Austin was meant to be the stalker, not Vince.

Angle and Shawn returning and Angle v Shawn II set up for Vengeance to cap off Raw. Almost enough to make you forget about Cena's Raw debut in the middle of the show in a match to set up his semi-final support act for the real stars at the next PPV. Strange how so much just happened to take place on the same Raw as Cena's first match and take the shine off it. -
Early number of ONS buys in
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Angles Broken Fricken Neck's topic in The WWE Folder
Those numbers are a little out-of-date. WM X7 did just over a million buys for one thing. WM XX also did just over 900,000. -

Are the 4 Mania PPV's you listed as being above ONS in order of buys? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. WM 21 should easily be #1, as it looks set to be a fair bit greater above 1 million buys. WM 17 did, literally, just over 1 million. I don't think WM XX did 1 million, but came close. WM 18 did 840,000. -

In terms of actual buys, 800,000 would #5. Buy rates from earlier years are at levels that are unlikely to ever be reached again, simply because of how the PPV universe has expanded. -

What is your source? The numbers I'm looking at show every Wrestlemania except XI, XII, XIII and XIX beating One Night Stand. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And what is your source? -

At 800,000, ONS would be #5, behind WM 21, WM 17, WM 20 and WM 18, but if goes above 840,000, then it will be #4. Summerslam 2002 got just over 500,000. -

800,000 would put it at #4 or #5 in terms of the number of buys for a WWF/E PPV. -

If Eddie got all bitchy because he had to do the job, then he deserves to be criticised for that act, especially if it played a part in the match being sub-par. But to try and turn into a sign than Eddie is turning into anything close to a Triple H-level politician is beyond absurd. -

Well, now that I think about it: -During a Paul London/Akio match on Smackdown last week, Eddie ran in and beat both of them up within one minute of the match starting just to cut a promo and take away their spotlight. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because Eddie was the one who wrote that into SD, of course. -
Undertaker (3-disc), HHH (3-disc), Ladder Matches

The tombstone was called that long before Undertaker showed up, and he had nothing to do with it being called a tombstone. -

Have you ever tried wrestling while not being able to breath out of your nose? I'm guessing not. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's funny, because Matt Hardy had one of the best matches of his career against Benoit while gushing blood from his nose. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because as we all know, if a broken nose doesn't affect one wrestler, it must then not affect all wrestlers who suffer a broken nose. A wrestler is undoubtedly affected if he breaks his nose. Anything that hampers breathing affects anyone, especially a wrestler in a match. -

It wouldn't work with WCW. WWF/E spent years burying WCW before Vince bought it, and they did a masterful job of burying it even after Vince bought it. Not to mention that all the WCW fans who might have tuned in to see a WWF/E version of WCW already did that when WCW was first purchased, and they got burned and tuned out, and I don't see them coming back. -
