  1. Put her with Abyss as his female friend who helps him regain his confidence by being the first person to show genuine affection for him. She can keep the darker elements of her gimmick because it plays into the Abyss gimmick.
  2. Ariel being released is a surprise, if only because the gimmick seemed to be over. Plus, she could do the pole dancing stuff and that was hot stuff. Nicky wasn't a surprise. There wasn't much they could do with him after the Spirit Squad was squashed and buried six-feet under. I expect a few of the other SS members, if not all of them, to be let go as well. Conway being gone shows a total lack of foresight because Conway could have been working in OVW and trying to help the juiced up stiffs WWE likes at least look competent, and also because they'd started the ball rolling on repackaging La Resistance and it's just gone to waste before having a chance. Van Dam and Sabu gone is no shock. Scotty going is a shock, because he seemed like he'd have a job for life being a jobber.
  3. Would be interesting to see what Danielson could get out of him too. Danielson, if healthy, would get something good to great out of Van Dam, providing he can reign in Van Dam's crazier stuff until the final stretch.
  4. Assuming Wang and Sims get their one proper fight in the UFC, let us hope for prompt and brutal KO's.
  5. Heads must roll for this.
  6. And what's why I'll be tuning out next season unless they do something to let us know who "the One" is. I tuned in wanting to see how Ted met "the One", and it's been two seasons and we're no closer to finding that out. Barney's funny, and while he's not while I tuned in to begin with, he's the only thing keeping me around. Soon, even that won't be enough.
  7. I consider it a waste when we're two seasons in and they've done nothing to even hint at who the "The One" is. With the series based around how Ted met "The One", shouldn't they have done something to show us who she is by now? I'm all for showing the 'evolution' of Ted, but would it hurt to do something to advance the premise that the show is based on? Exactly. For two seasons, they've done nothing to show us who "The One" is, and I'm not hopeful that situation will change in season 3.
  8. But wasting a whole season on a storyline that has no obvious part to play whatsoever in what is meant to be the premise the series is built around? Barney is the only thing keeping me interested in this show, but that won't be enough if they don't do something with the "One" next season.
  9. At some point next season, they'd better do something to make it clear who the "One" is, or I'm going to give up. As TTS said, spending a whole year around Ted and Robin, when she isn't the "One", is pointless. It didn't lead to anything and felt like a complete waste of time. I like this show, but when they spend a season with an ultimately pointless storyline, it's hard to care.
  10. I remember that night because the entire arena were dying to see Goldberg beat HHH for the title. They wanted nothing more than for Goldberg to win that night and would have exploded like crazy.
  11. Presumably, it's the same problem he had with Jericho.
  12. Just long enough to bury Edge, then he would show that Edge how to be a real heel. Did I miss something that happened recently? It seems that there are a lot of posts mentioning HHH wanting to bury Edge. HHH was against Edge moving to Smackdown and getting the World title. He wanted to work a program with him, which would end in the obvious manner. When Edge found out he was moving to Smackdown, and avoiding the HHH program, he was "grinning from ear to ear".
  13. This should make for some interesting reading.
  14. Regal will work his magic with Cena and make him look a like a million dollars.
  15. 5/16/07 fistwrestling spamming
  16. The SD thread issue seems to have worked itself out lately. We're loosening up on the Comments...deal, as you can see. If it goes well, then great. If not, we'll deal with that too.
  17. Cutting away from the TD match as soon as it was over killed the buzz. They didn't give people time to savor Wildcat's win before giving them something else they had to concentrate on. It would have been much better to stay focused on Harris for a minute or two, have Tenay and West talk the match up and show highlights, and then go to the Sting promo. It would have let people digest what they'd seen and really enjoy it, and it would have gotten over better because people would have been given the time to let it sink in before having to concentrate on something else.
  18. Well, it does say "at some point", so they can still do a short-term title change to Khali.
  19. I've been wondering that ever since it started to happen. Many times if you do start a SD spoiler-free thread when there is already a spoiler thred up, the spoiler-free thread will either get deleted, closed, or folded into the already open thread. For the record, I haven't touched the Smackdown threads in forever. Whoever is moving or deleting them, it isn't me.
  20. Looks like that's the end of the Smackdown spoilers. Discuss away.
  21. Super Crazy is super injured. He blew his knee out on the Raw tour of Europe and is likely to be out for some time.
  22. And the reason you, and everybody else with this problem, never PM'd me about it, is...? If people have a complaint about this forum, a PM can work wonders about that. If they get sent.
  23. Fine, have your Sabu thread back if it'll stop you bitching.
