Do you have evidence that Amnesty Intl. or other NGOs are using more of their resources on the abuses at Guantanamo than on Darfur, or is this just standard rightwing boilerplate? Because I'm unconvinced that the fact that Amnesty International criticizes Guantanamo is somehow exacerbating the situation in Darfur.

The weirdest thing happening right now in the GOP primary is the fact that Mitt Romney is the leading fundraiser but can barely break 5% in polls. Fred Thompson (of Law & Order) just mentions that he's considering running and immediately bolts ahead of Romney.

Several hundred thousand people have been massacred in the Darfur region of Sudan by government sanctioned militias in the last three or four years and over 2 million have become refugees. The rest of the world has been aware of this the whole time. This was an issue in the 2004 presidential debates. Here we sit in 2007, and basically nothing has been done about it. It's interesting to see you apply very different standards of the burden of proof to Britain in this case and Saddam Hussein in the case of Iraq. I really don't want to re-argue Iraq. I just wish people like you would have figured this out and seen through the bullshit before we ended up in the Mess 'o Potamia. I think it's more the actions of their batshit-crazy president, who is being empowered by the instability in Iraq and, well, the lack of credibility of our batshit-crazy president.
