Under Oath (1996) Found this at Wal-Mart about 2 years ago when they had a VHS/DVD blowout (even cheaper than usual, as I got this for $4.88 DVD). It's produced by Roger Corman, but don't let that fool you. The story is that two cops, getting tired of the daily grind just to make ends meet, decide to steal some guns from the police property room and make a deal with an arms dealer for a one time score. As it turns out, the arms dealer winds up killed when the deal goes sour, and it turns out he was an undercover ATF agent. Feeling that their days are numbered, the cops luck out when they're the ones assigned to the case, and go to any and every length to cover their tracks. Very entertaining with a good script, but most would assume it's B-rate schlock due to the Corman attatchment.

There's no summer vacation. It's year round curriculum, with several week long breaks, plus holiday breaks (obviously) throughout. Mostly due to the handicapped workshops, as well as the daycare center.

At one point my goal was to pursue high school English, but I come from a large Italian family and have been helping raise little cousins left and right for years now, so dealing with a younger set of students is something I'm capable of doing. Also, the reason I got into special ed is because there is a severe lack of special ed teachers, because honestly you have to have a lot of patience, amongst other qualities, in order to handle disabled children. It wasn't my intent to stay in special ed long-term (having the credentials looks good on a resume), but I find myself doing well with it, even better than I thought I'd have been.

Most of you probably remember earlier this year when I took a field placement class as part of my education major, and did work study in a school as a teacher's assistant. Since the semester ended I've continued to work voluntarily at the school, and had constantly been told to apply, although at the time there were no positions available. Lately, the school has lost several people and are under-staffed at the moment, so a few weeks ago I went to a conference with all the teachers, and what do I find in my packet? An application. So I hand it in, and I'm waiting to hear back (because the school is overseen by an agency, and it's the agency that has to file the application, interview you, etc.) and several weeks back, I got the call for an interview, which went very well. I already had everyone at the school pulling for me to get hired due to my enthusiasm and willing to learn (since this is what I want to do as a profession), and I figured it was in the bag. Well, it was. As of last week, I was officially hired, and will start pending the completion of some paperwork (background check, medical clearance, etc.) So in about a week or two, ol' Zack will officially be a part of the education system. I'm not sure where in the school I'll be working (it's a mix of both typical and special needs students, right now I volunteer in a special needs room with elementary age kids, as well as the kindergarten), but I've heard rumors that I might be put in with the pre-school group to start. The atmosphere at the school is great, I get along with everyone there (and it's not a large school really, so I do know mostly everyone), the benefits are a huge help to a kid in college like myself (medical, dental, vision, plus tuition assistance, etc.). I've really lucked out, and I'm on cloud nine because of it. I'll also be keeping my job doing the wrestling merchandise thang part-time, because right now I'm just trying to start up a nest egg, so filling the bank account in a major priority. Another plus is that when I return to school in fall, the work study course allows you to use your job (if you have one in a school/social service agency) for the credit for class, which means I won't have to take any days off, and can go to the afternoon evaluations once a week at campus. Just figured I'd share, since I do talk to a lot of you, and figured you'd be interested to hear about this latest development.

I can sorta see where they are going with this (positioning Mordecai as a threat to the headliners in order to make him seem like a worthy opponent for UT down the line), but going from a debut squash to a win over Paul London on TV to possibly feud with the WWE Champion is a bit of a stretch. I won't judge until I see how they go about this, but someone like RVD (who is a star and can take tons of punishment to make Mordecai look good) is a better fit to get him over in this early stage of the push. On a related note regarding UT and feuding with newcomers, I also think that Undertaker vs. Kenzo Suzuki is not too far behind, probably by Survivor Series/Armageddon.

At the end. Personally, I thought Skeletor in the movie looked like a cross between Skeletor and Hordak.

I thought this was Malibu's gimmick. I don't nominate every thread for classics. This one will never be a classic now, with a lie like that in it. For shame.

I love Evanescence. Another one of the few albums I can listen to all the way through.

Promoage. Oh yes, promoage.

So you're saying it would've been more fun with a prize at stake? Hmmm... Winning team gets to ban five posters of their choosing?

I just think people realize they can't top the greatness of the draft. What?...SOMEONE has to be an optimist around here.

A few from Mallrats that I enjoy: Brodie: My Grandmother always used to say "why buy the cow, when you can get the sex for free". T.S. Quint: She said that? Brodie: All the time, before she became a lesbian on her 60th Birthday, but that's besides the point. Brodie: Cookie stand isn't part of the food court. T.S. Quint: Of course it is. Brodie: The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It not like we're talking quantum physics here. T.S. Quint: The cookie stands counts as an eatery, eateries are part of the food court. Brodie: Bullshit. Eateries that operate within the designated square downstairs count as food court. Anything outside, of said designated sqaure, counts as an autonomous unit for mid-mall snacking. Now, if your going to wax intellectual about the subject...

I've always liked him/not minded him. It was just the incessant "cram him down your throat" push that was really getting to me. He's made it all worthwhile these last few months, and is developing quite well. The Foley feud did it's job, and has even made him a babyface to more than a few people, because I've heard "Randy" chants on several shows since that match, including last night's RAW.

I was hoping to have Shelton in the main event last night, because the Bad Blood match with Orton just screamed rematch. What good is booking Shelton to be *thisclose* to the IC Title, only to have him drop his quest for it? He's not the end all and be all of charisma, but his smug demeanor and his "I know I can kick your ass and I'm gonna" facials work for me. He just needs to be fleshed out as more of an actual character as opposed to underdog/occasional heel foil.

Topic moved. Good ol' Glenn strikes again.

N'SYNC's first album was all right, but No Strings Attatched was much, much better.

Re: The Kiss Albums I'm a fan of Alive III myself. The live version of "I Still Love You" is great, and it was awesome to have a fun song like "I Just Wanna" put on their, especially since they were coming off the heels of the great "Revenge" album that gave us that song. The solo albums I have to agree with wholeheartedly. Peter's left a lot to be desired. I also own his Criss Cat album from '94 or so, and the only song I even remember from it was "Blue Moon Over Brooklyn", which I believe was about his mother dying if I remember correctly. Otherwise, I couldn't tell you any other song from it. As far as CD's go that most people don't like, that's a reference to most of my collection, seeing as how I'm more of a pop/dance/techno/club music person than most of the contigent here.

The one album you own that most others don't.

I also feel it's the best one out of their discography (Ungod, Darkest Days, and the self-titled album from 2001). A few years ago, during the Napster heyday, I wound up finding tons of demo's, acoustic versions and remixes from the band too. Lots of good stuff there. -

Stabbing Westward-Wither, Blister, Burn and Peel Bought on a whim due to the catchy first single "What Do I Have To Do" in 1996, it's one of the few albums I own that I feel I can listen to all the way through without skipping tracks. While some songs are merely okay ("Falls Apart" and "Crushing Me" fall into that category for me at least), others like "I Don't Believe", "Shame" (which is my favorite song by the band), and the awesomely creeply, melodic "Sleep" are songs I never tire of. This CD also was my introduction to the band, despite them having released Ungod a few years earlier. This is the album that made me a Westward fan, and I think they're one of the better alt-industrial bands of the mid-late '90's. A shame they broke up. -
I don't get that. CZW fans love the guy, and a good chunk of the CZW fans are the same ones who go to the ROH shows in the same area.
