  1. Was Trish Stratus pleasuring him while he viewed the match?
  2. Call me crazy, but if Brock is indeed cleared to wrestle (ie. the no-compete clause is ruled to be unfair), I think he's taking the IWGP title on October 8th.
  3. Toshiaki Kawada & Akira Taue.
  4. Holy Demon Army > Funks > Fantastics. This is probably the highest quality matchup so far, all 3 teams are pretty damn good.
  5. You're right, he's not great, but he's still good and is certainly better than Triple H or Hayes. Also, while HBK is/was very good, he has never been the most sound "worker" around, considering how crummy some aspects of his game are. Just makes the situation kind of ironic.
  6. It's a sad day when a guy who can't work an inferior, crappy style of wrestling is criticised for it. I wonder what those guys would say about Samoa Joe. "That guy can't work, his strikes look too real. This is wrestling, not shoot fighting!" I guess the key is to go out and have a completely ridiculous wrestling match. To hell with trying to make it look convincing, that would just be a "simulated match" instead of a worked match.
  7. I agree that 4 of those 5 aren't MOTYCs. The ladder match and Cena-JBL especially, I didn't even think they were even more than average. I thought Angle-HBK was a MOTYC this year, even though it probably wouldn't finish in the top 5 in any other year. Probably right at the **** mark. Would have been more if not for some goofy stuff (like Angle not knowing what friggen ankle he was focusing on, the setup to the table spot). I've been seeing some criticism of the match though and was wondering what big problems there were aside from what I already listed.
  8. I don't buy that. Maybe it's true for some people. But I'd say the idiots who make statements like "So-and-So is CLEARLY one of the top 10 workers in the past 15 years" don't want that to mean "only in the WWE". I'd also like to add that people don't have to watch various promotions, nor do they have to be even familiar with good in-ring wrestling. But if people are going to be making statements that would require knowledge of promotions outside the WWE and knowledge of in-ring wrestling, you better be well-versed in the topic. Too many people like to make statements about who the best wrestler is, or what the match of the year is, despite having seen nothing but WWE stuff.
  9. Angle vs. Michaels at WMXXI. I watched it again recently, and it holds up, even under intense scrutiny. Probably the only **** WWE match this year. Nothing else that I've seen even comes close. Honourable mention to Angle-Jannetty, Angle-Benjamin and Benjamin-Michaels. Edit - Oh, there were a couple real good Triple H vs. Chris Benoit matches earlier in the year too. Add those to honourable mention.
  10. Blondes > Quebecers > Dudley's
  11. According to puroresupower, Chono is still getting the title shot, killing the supposed "super-important foreigner challenge" to the IWGP title. At first I assumed it would be Lesnar getting the shot, and I actually thought he might even win. But I guess he isn't even getting the shot.
  12. It was a fun match. Total spotfest, but it was paced excellently and the selling was pretty good. The belt spot was much, much too contrived, but I don't think the match really fell apart after that point. It slowed down considerably sure, but that makes sense given that it was later in the match and the guys had all taken a fair bit of punishment. Probably the best 3 way I've ever seen, which isn't saying a whole lot. I'd call it very good, just short of being a MOTYC.
  13. Bulldogs > R&R > Harlem Heat
  14. Jun Akiyama Satoshi Kojima Kurt Angle Jumbo Tsuruta Editted - add Hiroyoshi Tenzan
  15. Didn't All Japan run the Tokyo Dome for Hansen's retirement?
  16. Fixed, so you don't look like such a complete goofball.
  17. ^Yup. Just as you saying Michaels is only a good worker, not great, being purely and entirely a biased, opinionated understanding and perception. You see, the thing about opinion, when you have one that strays, and in your case, strays a long way, from the one which is generally accepted by a large mass of people, and more importantly, by people whose statements hold gravity, then your opinion becomes restricted. Restricted only to you and that little lot with the same understanding as yours. AKA, the minorities. And let me tell you, 90% of such opinions are a result of bias. While the other 10% can be attributed to the person not being properly aware of the subject on which he's giving an opinion on, or his inability/willingness to properly understand it. Casablanca is a landmark, critically acclaimed film. You saying otherwise not only restricts you to your own delimited "personal" opinion, but also makes you part of that minority I just talked about. Thankyou. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How long is it going to take you to learn that the opinion of the masses doesn't make that opinion correct? Go look up what a fallacy is and then you'll realize why your argument completely sucks. You know, who's right and wrong doesn't really matter. Afterall, someone could seriously bastardize the meaning of "great worker" and then claim HBK is one. That's pretty much what's happening anyway. So then it becomes a matter of who presents the strongest argument. And well, it doesn't take a genius to figure out which arguments totally suck and which are actually supported by legitimate points. Edit - This coming from a guy who's been responsible for - "Its because I'm not stupid enough like you to just throw my opinions at others like its all facts" "Oh, so I WAS delaing with a 8 yr old all along. *hits head against wall*" How ironic.
  18. Hart Foundation > Freebirds > Money Inc.
  19. Yea, I realized I wasn't really looking for goth metal, but rather just symphonic/opera-esque stuff. Yea, they use lots of metal bands on their shows I've found. K-1 too. I was shocked to hear Karelia on some K-1 MAX show from last year. I had just heard a couple random songs, don't remember spefically now. Nothing epic like Ghost Love Score though. I just downloaded their discography though
  20. El Santo and Rikidozan. Was that the answer you were looking for?
  21. Momoe Nakanishi. *cries* Maybe after she has her kid she'll come back, ala Hokuto. It's just tragic when a 24 year old, for some reason or another, retires from a sport they excel at.
  22. Wow, I never would have guessed. The few Nightwish songs I have heard sounded nothing like that. Thanks for the help guys.
  23. http://s47.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1P6LAG4...430I9V7MIMXVNQQ Does anyone know what song is playing in the background? Or at least which group it is?
