Just the other day, I had a filet mignon cooked to perfection at this local restaurant. Lately, I've been on somewhat of a bad streak when it comes to finding a good filet mignon, but this place did it perfectly.

Where did you see that? I know the Lakers are looking for more backcourt experience, but I didnt' hear anything about Francis to LA for Odom. I don't think that would work out too well unless the Lakers are just packing it in for this season already. Odom is their best rebounder. If he goes, they'll get killed on the glass.

Why does WWE continue to put on womens matches?
Dangerous A replied to spman's topic in The WWE Folder
But then WWE can't have it's cake and eat it too. -
LAX was fucked from the word go as far as the health of it's members. They wanted to get the group off the ground, but they have been hit with the injury bug.

Konnan is definitely one of the better mic workers in wrestling right now. Personally I think the suck that is the James Gang outweighs what Konnan does, but Konnan is still believable as a thug dickhead. That said, I never want to see Konnan in the ring for a match ever again. He needs hip replacement and shoulder surgery as well. As long as he flaps his gums and doesn't wrestle, he's just fine in his role.

I'd attend every Super Bowl, NBA Finals, World Series, Final Four, and Wrestlemania until I die. That, along with the usual house, couple cars, and the biggest collection of pro wrestling you could shake a stick at. I'd invest some and possibly start a chain of coffee shops. Coffee shops that aired pro wrestling on plasma screens during hours that is.

One and Only Thursday Night RAW Thread 2-16-06
Dangerous A replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
I hope WWE's not thinking about putting her in the ring often again. Ashley, Candice, and Torrie are bad enough. Stacy=Quasi mainstream star. RAW=#1 show. Figure it out. I wouldn't be shocked if vince puts Stacy (the sweet adorable dance machine that everyone loves on a very high rated show) against Candice Michelle (the trampy playbooy model who is known for her constroversial super bowl ads) @ WM. Those two might be the WWE's two most known household names(or images. in Candice's case), right now. We'll see if Stacy ever sees the inside of a wrestling ring again. Even if she doesn't win Dancing with the Stars, the exposure on this show has probrably opened a bunch of doors for stuff. If the acting gig doesn't happen, she will probrably land commercial and modeling work that she normally wouldn't get. I don't think she needs wrestling anymore to be honest with you. -
I'd be interested in knowing whether or not TNA has the same "independent contractor" setup as WWE does.

I think it's a dumb move on the Cavs part as they have absolutely no one who can play PF behind Gooden. Basically they would be Illgauskus and a bunch of guards and small forwards. If and when Zydrunas gets in foul trouble or gets injured, the Cavs would be super-fucked.

Booking philosophies and disciplines

HHH was positioning himself as bad ass heel to Cena from day one when they had their first encounter and HHH said something to the effect of when I want your title, I'll take it. Insinuating that when he gets around to it, he'll dispose of Cena. The Rey thing baffles me to no end. As soon as they had Rey jobbing clean to Mark Henry not once, but twice, you knew they didn't have confidence in him as a top guy at WM. I dont think WWE can get over themselves to push and protect Rey so he could be in a position to becoming a main event draw. One thing about Rey though. While he'll always be a draw to the kids because of his size and character, I don't think he'll be that great of a drawing champion. I just think that he's a good character chasing the title and dream and if and when he wins, it'll make for a great moment, but I don't know if the crowds will be that into him as the defending champion for any lengthy period of time. Sort of like Sting. Sting was great chasing Ric Flair, but as champion, he just didnt' have that thing that makes you want to see him continue on as champion. I think Rey will have the same issue. Part of it may be his size in that pretty much every title defense will be a David and Goliath story and I'm not sure if the fans will buy into David beating Goliath after Goliath and escaping with the belt. It may hold up for a program or two, but I don't see it having any legs past 4-5 months. -
Ripper has to be loving the Hawks beating the Lakers. I was in disbelief at that one. Then again, the Hawks have also beaten SA and Detroit this year. This one was more surprising because it was in LA, but still shows that youthful legs can be dangerous if they put things together. That and LA blew a ton of free throw oppurtunities.

Utah trading up to get Deron Williams and passing on Chris Paul will haunt that franchise for at least a decade, if not longer. I think Chris Paul can become an MVP candidate next year if things work out well in NOK.
 -
Dangerous team? I'd think they'd be ahead in their weak ass division by at least 6 games, if not more.
 -
Perhaps we should just make it all about the Lakers instead.

An idea for the end of Joe's undefeated streak...
Dangerous A replied to gWIL's topic in TNA Wrestling
Not bad for storyline purposes and it would also make Joe de facto face since Homicide is badder. It all depends on Homicide's health since his shoulder is reportedly really fucked up. While this isn't a bad idea and I like the possibilties, I think with Joe's streak being played up, whoever beats Joe should sort of come out of nowhere. It's a hotshot, but if it's the right person and the right time, you may have made a star in one night. -
I definitely agree with that. Crawford is more or less an out of control gunner. The Francis/Marbury dynamic is intriguing in that you've got two guys who can get any shot they want and are willing to take it inside and draw fouls. While I agree that Marbury isn't just a stand there and dribble while the offense takes shape PG, he does command the ball and Francis hasn't had a year in the league where he didn't have carte blanche with the ball. (a reason Houston wanted to move him) It's more of an indictment on Francis than Marbury and it's something they'll have to work out this year and training camp next year, if this deal even happens.
 -
This move has to be for next year because the Knicks are too far behind to make a push for the playoffs and I'm banking it'll take Francis and whoever else some time to get adjusted to how LB wants the game to be played as well as getting used to playing with a guy like Marbury, who dominates the ball like Francis does.

Very much so. Fans want to get behind guys who can back up what they're saying and exude confidence in doing so. If you have a real cocky asshole type, people will want to see him get his ass handed to him. (I think Tito fell into this category a few years ago before getting beaten by Liddell and Couture and lost some of his luster) Either way, it draws fans and money. As you can see from a business standpoint, UFC is doing quite well with this. In pro wrestling, fans don't get behind incompetent babyfaces who say they are going to win, only to get outsmarted and defeated by the heel. (I'm looking at you, Hunter) It's why Batista became a star even with very limited in ring ability. He always had the one up on HHH. He was never outsmarted in their program. He said he'd beat HHH, then went out and did it. When HHH would try to pull a coyote, Batista pulled a roadrunner. -
While I dont' follow the Bulls, I didnt' see a lack of playing time for Gordon last night. He played 48 minutes against the Kings in an overtime loss.

It's usually pretty easy to get kicked off of jury's without having to resort to playing the "hates niggers and faggots" card. I think your friend is starved for attention with those kind of comments in a courtroom and he deserves anger management, even if it's not a real anger issue. Depending on what benefits your job has, it might be good to serve. I know my job pays your regular daily salary while you are serving, plus you get a small daily salary from the court for serving. One of my co-workers just served on a jury for a murder case that took 5 weeks. I'd sign on for that kind of action.

It's a combination of the Hornets putting it together quicker than what people projected (Byron Scott and Chris Paul are the catalysts for this IMO) and the West being a weaker conference this year.
 -
While Joe/AJ/Daniels is starting to wear on me, they can still get some mileage out of putting them in unconventional matches since they've maxed out on what they can do in a regular match with each other. The key here is TNA needs to start grooming who is going to enter into the next tier of the X Division. Is it Jay Lethal? Alex Shelley? Chris Sabin? All 3? Don't know, but they need to choose quick and go without hesitation. Also ,while it appears Sting is worth about .3-.4 worth of fans, TNA needs to put Sting (as well as the rest of the roster) in position to get these new eyeballs to buy ppv's. TNA gets no money from iMPACT whether they draw .4 rating or 4.0 rating. The key is getting people to buy the ppv's. WWE doesn't get a nickel from Raw's ratings, however they run ppv's that are profitable. TNA needs to figure out how to get the new eyeballs watching to buy into them.
