That is about as simple as it gets. The WWE got some ducks in a row and it's starting to pay off in ratings. You've got a) build up to the Rumble, b) someone who is over as a heel on top who is a fresh face.
-
He's also Reggie Miller reincarnated because on the offensive end, he never stops moving. Although Rip is a bit small on the lbs, he wears the other 2 guard down just because they have to keep chasing his energizer bunny ass.

The WWE has spirit! Yes they do!

I'm convinced Steph and Co. only did this to fuck with Paul Heyman and Jim Cornette. -
I guess the moratorium on Eddie jokes is up. BTW, funny follow up, raz.

Two reasons. 1) Thought he could become an NFL player. WWE was ok with this and even wanted to do a press conference to announce one of their wrestlers was going to attempt to make it in the NFL. Lesnar's people told him that would not be a wise move because Lesnar is attempting to go to a legit sport and he was already going to start having credibility issues just attempting this. 2) Hated the schedule. He didn't mind being a pro wrestler, but hated the travel.

This is actually pretty damn funny.

metroman, I think what you heard was Hamilton is the only 20+ppg guard who shoots above 50% from the field. I'd have to say Rip is the most consistent mid range jump shooter in the league. Kobe is a lot more explosive with his mid range jumper and as we saw sunday, when it's on, it's on. But there are days where you see it's off almost the whole game and Kobe starts taking it into the paint and trying to get to the line. Rip is just a little more consistent being that he always shoots from mid range and hits at a high clip.

Not sure if you got the memo or just don't like reading posts before yours, but the deal went through. Artest is a King and Peja is a Pacer. Haha, indeed.

So TNA Could Have Gotten Jericho But Went With Sting
Dangerous A replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
Absolutely nothing. None of those guys bring anything to the table in terms of something positive for a wrestling promotion. -
According to ESPN, the Artest for Stojakovic trade is back on, pending league approval. Geez, what a bunch of useless drama. Thing is, I'm going to the Kings game next tuesday vs. the Nuggets, which would potentially be Artest's first Kings home game. I can only hope.
-
Jim Rome is reporting on his radio show that ESPN is now saying Artest has agreed to the trade, but now it's up to Petrie and the Maloofs to be convinced he wants to go there. I think since the season is almost a waste for Artest, that he should accept the trade and play the rest of this season in Sac as a trial run and show he still has game and keep his value high. Then in the offseason if he still isn't feeling it in Sac, approach the Maloofs about getting out and then Petrie can deal him away.
-
I think Peja could rediscover himself if the trade had gone through. He would be excellent in a two man game with O'Neal and if and when Tinsley gets back healthy, they'd pick and roll people to death. Peja right now on the Kings just isn't working. He's worn out his welcome and knows the fans want him out. He would be a better player in a different environment. Odom has all world talent when he asserts himself in games. Thing is, if he hasn't been doing that by now, chances are he won't change very much. It's not like all of a sudden he's going to become this more aggressive player overnight. I still like Odom's game better than Peja's at this stage.
-
Eh, Odom > Peja. Thing is, Sac and the Lakers don't want to deal because teams don't like to deal in the same division. Not saying it's not possible. Saying it's not likely.
-
Well, the Kings probrably have to deal Peja now with this deal gone south. With as combustible as Artest is, this may have saved the Kings in the long run if they can still deal Peja, just not for Artest.
-
Besides Odom, there isn't anyone on the Lakers that's worth a shit. Petrie and Bird aren't dumb fucks to take the Lakers crap just to get rid of Peja or Artest.
-
Deal is off according to ESPN. Artest is a cock.
-
It's a risk, but as a Kings fan, I'm ok with this. Reax from Alfdogg?
-
No. WWE should never attempt another invasion angle for as long as they exist.
-
One point lost in the shuffle of Kobe's masterful performance is the Lakers needed 81 points from Kobe to beat the Raptors. THE RAPTORS. Kobe is MVP of the league hands down, but his team isn't very good.
-
Although I can't stand him, I have to applaud Kobe's performance tonight. There isn't anything bad that can be said about what he did tonight. Then again, maybe I'm just saying this because the Kings beat the Lakers on Thursday which makes it easier for me.

I'm just really happy that they have explained how Angle can cross brands and win the other title. Oh wait, it hasn't happened yet. :: waits for explaination for why Angle can cross brands ::
-
I'm just glad WWE is respecting the boundaries they set forth for the brand split. I totally believe that there are two seperate brands and everything!
-
Actually Vince and WWE can get out of this by agreeing to pay Lesnar for his old deal, which is the root of this whole thing because when Lesnar wanted back in several months ago, WWE was willing, but at a way lesser downside than before he left. Ultimately, if Vince feels threatened Lesnar goes to TNA, he could just pay him. However, how dumb would it be to pay a guy a million dollars a year to sit out or worse, get buried publicly like you know WWE would do?
-
I'd rather peel the skin off my crank with a potato peeler than give any of my money for that.
-
Believe it or not, I don't think Lesnar is that great a fit in TNA. They don't have a lot good opponents to match him up with, which is the exact same reason he is tanking in New Japan right now.
