They've jumpstarted big show so many times for ME pushes where he NEVER WINS THE TITLE and then gets dropped down the card and forgoten about. He doesn't have a lick of credibility any more as a top guy. I think he *does* have value in getting over someone else, though. I didn't like Chris Masters running away from Big Show, as Masters could actually get over by putting Big Show down and overpowering him with his Masterlock. Straight up, no tricks, the guy is just that strong. Unfortunately, the WWE will have him either cheat to do it, or have Big Show beat him. And that helps nobody.

How many times has Big Show been pushed? I don't buy the guy as a monster, and I haven't in the longest time. It would just hurt everyone he squashes if he were to go on a tear. I think he'd be better off in the tag division and working hot tags.

Then we fundamentally disagree. I can't fault the guy for doing his job, whether it was in poor taste of not. We all see how political this WWE stuff is, and if he wanted a sustained push it was in his best interest to go with the flow. If you have a problem with that, I respect your opinion. Hassan is an independant contractor. He's a plumber. If a plumber feels a job is too dangerous, he can freely say no and the job will go to someone else. If that plumber is good enough, there will be more work in the future. Magnus could have said no, and the only thing that would happen is he'd have to wait another year or two. Saying no would have taken dignity and a backbone - so of course he said yes because the man is nothing but a whore. Then again, most -if not all- wrestlers are whores. Wrestling would be a much better thing to watch if there weren't guys like Hassan willing to do anything to get into the spotlight.

I fault the guy for saying "yes" to a character that clearly is race-based (and not even your ethnicity) and wouldn't be written with a lick of respect or sensitivity to anyone or anything. But heaven forbid a wrestler actually have a backbone. Clearly, I am expecting too much from people. Hassan didn't "get over" anything. The guy got a push from, what, November 04 to June 05 and Scotty 2 Hotty still gets more noise than him. And couldn't sustain any heat when he was in the ring, let alone week-to-week. What he got was the basic anti-american heat, so I don't really see anything special about him. He couldn't entertain me in the ring, and his so-called awesome promos didn't make me want to see him wrestle, or see someone kick his ass, let alone pay for it, so I don't really see the value in his great promos. Then again, he entertained a bunch of people who have bad taste in wrestling and television, so let's start a petition! He had great music! Give him the title! HE WORKED HARD! (Though clearly not on his ring skills!) FUCK UPN!

Benoit winning would do nothing for him (and IMO having the title would hurt him), why not give OJ a win, or at the very least, a double knockout spot. Maybe he could break free from being JBL's lacky/whipping boy.

My computer is freezing at random moments. Sometimes I can go an hour, sometimes I can go 2 minutes. The screen itself doesn't freeze - say I'm downloading a file: the file will continue to dl until completion even if I can't use my mouse or keyboard (which has me thinking it could be a problem with my mouse/keyboard). It will also fuck up/freeze randomly for a few seconds and then continue along on its merry way. I've deleted most files and programs that I think would give me problems, and I've done a regular systems check. The computer is about 5 years old and is running on Windows ME. Wuddoido?

You don't watch many good shows if you call what the WWE is doing with Hassan "compelling television". I imagine Hassans final hour will be spent in the tightiest of all whities.

UPN knows what they did was wrong and is trying to make up for it, which is the difference between them and the WWE. The WWE would rather blame the audience for "not getting it" and continue on doing the same old bullshit. For once in their history, I actually look at UPN in a good light.

They should blur him out like they did the WCW title in the early 90's. UPN *pays* the WWE for their programming. They pay them $700,000 to air Smackdown. If Hassan truly is banned from UPN, then that's their right. Anyone who says "fuck UPN" is retarded, or worse, hanging off McMahons balls. The WWE deserved it, UPN has every right to decide what to show for something they are paying for, and for once Vince McMahon actually is seeing repercussions for his stupid, silly, and ignorant storylines.

Did I say them? YeeeNO. Tito would be an interesting fight - would he react the same way to Shogun as he did Chuck (petrified...). I mean, Tito got rocked by Cote fer chrisakes. Couture is a no, because I didn't think Chuck could KO him either. Babalu is a no, because Liddell was the only guy to KO him and I'd chalk that up to "freak occurance". Overeem is a different animal than those three. Overeem is willing to stand and trade, as he did with Chuck, and he got KO'd from a wild punch, which he could very well get hit with against Shogun. I was surprised by how much Terrell controlled the fight when I saw it again. But he did do much better than I remembered. Watch it again, you'll see.

- Gomi got better shots standing, he not only defended the takedown but turned them into advantagous positions for him, and he controlled the vast majority of the match. Judges decision regardless, this fight does not say to me that Hansen is a better fighter than Gomi. Pulver had the height advantage, and the fight was at a weight that he had been fighting at in MMA for some time and that he could easily and naturally reach. There wasn't an instance where Gomi could have leveraged whatever "size advantage" he had against Pulver. In the end, in this fight, it was about technique. If you want to go back that far, how come Jens isn't getting credit for beating BJ Penn? _In that fight_, Gomi showed excellent boxing skills. He worked combinations, he went to the body, he showed good form, showed he can take a punch, and he scored the knock out. I didn't see those 2 fights, but in the case of Duane Ludwig -a K-1 calibre striker who had a considerable reach advantage over Pulver- I don't see it as a huge detriment and shouldn't take away from the fact that Pulver is a top LW fighter who has his fair share of KO's. If Ludwig focused more on MMA perhaps he'd be considered on this list, there certainly was hype on him at one point in his career. In the end, Gomi deserves credit for his KO win over Pulver, not just because it looked good on paper, but also because he looked good in the ring. And Azaredo also exposed Gomis knockout power. The problems Azaredo gave Gomi in their fight (quick, unconventional, striking) was fixed with in Silva fight. Silva hardly a ground fighter, despite the vast majority of his wins coming from submissions? Even with that absurdity ignored, what Gomi did in that fight against this non-ground fighter was still very impressive. Who would you say in that division is more well rounded that Gomi? He had a single choke on Gomi and had control of the fight for 3 minutes. The rest of the fight was Gomi. Come on? I can't see how that fight proved to you that Hansen was not only a better fighter than Gomi, but enough of one to be ranked 2 spots higher and not to be the brunt of the "overrated" stigma and continual downplaying. Come on. I don't see where Gomi is this big monster in the division, size wise. You might have to explain that to me because I don't see it. The guy is lanky, and going by Sherdog is 5'6. Everyone in your top 4 is bigger than him.
