  1. How do you even play guitar hero without the guitar? Hendo elbowing Dana on the plane and Dana going "I HATE HIM!" is classic.
  2. GSP goes Spartan when dropping "I give them nothing, and take everything away from them"
  3. Yeah, Cerrone's takedowns looked real good in that, the way he drove through on the first one reminded me of GSP.
  4. http://www.dailymotion.com/versus_348 Cowboy vs. Razor Rob. Hot damn that's a good un.
  5. Watched Blackburn vs. Chonan, and it was a close decision. The first two rounds were fairly slow, but the third round was actually very good. A bit of announcer bias towards Ryo, though the highlight was Goldie dropping Cung Le/Shamrock and Rogan reppin Lebanner/Bonjanski in regards to blocking kicks with your arm. Either Ryo started too slow or Blackburn slowed down, but if the fight were a 5 rounder Chonan would have ate Brads food (not that it matters much cause strategy changes for 3 rounds). Chonans kicks were good but it was ultimately Blackburn chaining his punches together and Chonan offering little head movement that won Brad the fight. http://www.pancrase.org/ryo-chonan-vs-brad...deo/12-29-2008/
  6. I forgot you were the president of Americans for Head and Neck Differentiation.
  7. Given how many good fighters are in UFC's WW division, why couldn't they have given someone other than Brock Larson? Was there demand for a rematch between the two?
  8. Yeah, I thought the Shogun/Coleman fight build was fairly well done. They focused a surprising amount on Coleman and I don't know if that's because he has the better story, because they like him more, or because they want people to think he has a chance (or all or some of the above). Though he kinda came off as being partially retarded, for better or worse ("I didn't stomp on Wanderleis head." *Footage of Coleman post Shogun fight proudly saying he was stomping on Wandy*)
  9. Didn't know Kirill Sidelnikov was fighting against Buentello. Should be fun. Kiril is seen as Fedors top pupil at the moment and fights very similarly to his mentor. Hopefully it will make for some good action. Any thoughts on the prospects of Sidelnikov?
  10. What has he really accomplished? You can't say he was the most dominant champ of his era, or division. Not with the run Silva is putting on. In terms of popularity, he is probably one of the top 10 most popular fighters for the past few years running, but never an overwhelming figure in the sport. He drew some of the companys early big buyrates (relative to its day), but nothing really significant (certainly not the numbers they are putting up now). He's one of the divisions best fighters, but he never really was an innovator or trail blazer. At best, he gave the MW division stability after the belt was ignored for years. He has the distinction of being surrounded by giants, at this point, so his accomplishments don't really hold up. He doesn't have the record to really warrant much consideration. MacDonald, Okami, Lutter, Loiseau, Tanner... it's a solid list of wins, but nothing really stands out there cept maybe the Okami win and that was a shit fight for both guys. When you look at the hall, you have Couture, Shamrock, Coleman, Gracie, Severn. Most of those guys stood out for reasons such as influence, dominance, records and accomplishments, and also due to lack of better options. But the dude did star opposite Kelly Kapowski. Which always keeps him in the running. Hey, maybe if he takes the title at LHW he can make a go of it. Also, if he keeps up the epic burns. He could make the hall on biting wit alone. "Rampage? I remember playing that game on NES in high school. The one with the dinosaur and gorilla. Oh, they weren't godzilla and king kong. Yeah, no they were not. That would have been legitimate. No, they were more like Rampages children. By that I mean, illegitimate. Which I mean, fathered out of wedlock. Bastards, if you will."
  11. That's A LOT of dimensions.
  12. He was ducking Matt Lindland! Lindland was a top contender when Rich wuz champ! UFC dumps The Law on a trumped up sponsorship scandal! COINCIDENCE?! They were protectin their boy! CONSPIRACY! And I didn't mean war of words (though Rich does win it), I meant in general. Even if Hendo destroys Rich (unlikely), he still has that massive burn to contend with for the rest of his life. My main bone of contention with Rich, beyond the creepy religiousness, is his association with American Fighter. How can someone who is clearly a cool dude be associated with such a lame clothing company? Also, Cyborg Soldier. DoubleYouTeeEff Rich, DoubleYouTeeEff. This is why Huerta is retarded for thinking he is going to do anything worthwhile in Hollywood. The track record is like 1 for 46. And that one is Oleg Taktarov fer crissakes. And he still came back to MMA. At like 80. Even after ROLLERBALL. You think Huerta is going to touch ROLLERBALL? That shit had LL in it. There is clearly something about fighting and fighters that does not mesh at all with having standards when getting roles in movies.
  13. Countdown to this show is up on UFC.com Franklin leads the new year with possibly its best quote in responding to Hendo saying that he's "going to beat the shit" out of Rich... "...He say shit? That's just mean... I'm picturing myself laying in the middle of the octagon in a pile of my own shit right now. Thats unsightly." Shiiit, Franklin already won the war.
  14. ESPN interview with Dana said that White would like to see Chuck fight in April. It also said he would like to see Chuck fight against Shogun. In April. Is there any other show in April other than the Montreal show?
  15. I normally peruse redtag.ca. They've been having 4 night Vegas deals for under $500 up to Jan 20th, so I don't think it's a stretch for the 31st.
  16. It had something I wanted, apparently. ... so hows abouts those fights? heeeyyy. Oh yeah, I'm back on MSN. Remember MSN?! Hollaatchaboy.
  17. Yeah. That one I am not going to live down for a.. ever...
  18. Or Keith "What was that... armbar?" David. Or Richard Attenborough... "Human beings venture into the highest parts of our planet at their peril, some might think that by climbing a great mountain that they have conquered it. But we can only be visitors here. This is a frozen, alien, world."
  19. Jesus fuck, BJ Penn knows how to talk. Hubris really was missing from fighting, as was not joking about murdering your opponent, and BJ brings both in spades. Goddamn if I ain't lookin for package deals to Vegas every day. I am pretty certain I can stop being a fan of MMA after this fight. There really isn't anything left I need to see. It's all led up to this. Royce Gracie winning UFC 2. Maurice Smith beating Coleman for the title. Joe Son getting punched in the nuts. It's all for this one fight.
  20. No, but I heard that his cousin once tricked him into injecting milk into his buttock, saying to him that it was steroids.
  21. "Looks like you're down 12 to 2 on points with 10 seconds left and I've got you omaplatta'd, Phil. What do you do?" "I don't know!" "Yeah, and that's why you'll never be in the top 15" *Jabs Phil in throat with DVD* It would be ideal if it turned out that the master reasoning behind the whole konspiracy was to ultimately discredit Frank Shamrock, given Kondos win over him. "Frank Shamrock, GOAT? Chya, riight, dude lost to Yuki Kondo."
  22. And, of course, there would have to be the pivotal scene were you confront the PRIDE apologist... "Well, you see Lei, in PRIDE, the judges value effort to finish the fight above all else..." "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHH!!" *Throws bottle against wall* *Grabs fanboy by collar* "HE WAS MOUNTED THE ENTIRE FUCKING FIGHT!!" .. ... .... "But was he trying to finish the fight?" "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
  23. It would have to be. No one rode Dangerous Dans jock like the Fight Professor.
  24. I assume that's the answer to my first question.
