  1. Any video game team with Richards on it is unfairly slanted since he seems to be the only guy in the fed to find the time to play video games way too much. Replace him with Helms and you have fairly even teams and good entertainment.
  2. In 93? Then what the hell was that Black Scorpion angle? You mean that actually drew?
  3. TheMikeSC: Which is QUITE an irrelevant point and one I'm shocked you're siding with Duo on. If a kid is pointing a gun at you, I doubt you'd want to find out first if he could aim. It is amazing the utter lack of military common sense some people have. Okay, you said that if the kid is trained with a Kalishnakov at age 7, it's obvious he's going to have a future of violence. I'm saying we don't know how experienced he is with weapons or not. This has absolutely no bearing on the event of the soldier shooting him in the foot, I'm not talking about that at all.
  4. Funny, I don't remember hearing about them in "Major Combat Operations," which is when they would have been most needed. I'm not exactly saying they don't exist, but I'm saying that Iraq has more culture and is more advanced than the Palestine lands. There's also a variety of religions represented and the country isn't always in the middle of a religion-boiled conflict. Article doesn't say the kid even knew how to aim.
  5. I thought kkk was simply joking and Duo was making much ado about nothing, as such seems to happen when he and I post in the same thread (hell, maybe in his posts I don't see), but as the conversation wore on I started disagreeing more and more with what I saw. But I'm going to point out one particular comment that stuck with me: kkk, I just wanted to smack you when you pulled out the awfully predictible "well NOW he can grow up to be a suicide bomber!" routine. We don't have any evidence that suicide bombing is a prevaling theme in Iraq's war culture. Perhaps if it was, all those soldiers we saw surrendering on the way to Baghdad would have blown themselves up instead of turning themselves in. The Republican Guard, I'm not so sure of. It's likely they'd blow themselves up for Saddam if ordered to, but that hasn't been happening to our troops so far. IOW, lay off the suicide bomber comments, unless your point was "A-hyuck, hyuck, Palesinians? Iraqis? They're all the same sand-people to me, a-hyuck!" My personal opinion is that if you can stop somebody and not kill them, go with that option.
  6. BLASPHEMY!!!!!! I could play that game contently for like 4hrs straight. Hearing Toad go "Ow,ow,ow,ow" was just music to my ears Okay, this is why I hated MK64: First of all, it had the "preferential item treatment" that DD has. Guys in the back are getting stars, those killer blue shells, lightning bolts. In the front you get... Uh.. Bananna peels. It's almost cause enough to make you hang back and get some good shit then try and retake the lead again. This on it's own is fine. I don't mind it, where MK64 is totally broken however is: They decided to give the really skilled drivers at this game a challenge by having your rival AI character (the one that's almost always coming in behind you) drive faster you can. I must have plunged five shells into Luigi this race and he's back again. Argh! DD doesn't have the latter problem. I can be lightyears ahead of the guy in second place, lapping past the poor dude in last place and hitting him with a weapon just for fun. Giving wild, game-unbalancing stuff to the people in the rear was enough. Trying to "keep it challenging" for the pros by letting the cars cheat so they can always stay right on your bumper was too much for me.
  7. I think Kerry is comitting political suicide on this one, Dean could do alright if he makes Bush look like a moron in the debates (I would say "when", but Gore kind of proved it isn't certain,) Edwards is in an interesting position and could benefit when something gives in the fighting between Kerry and Dean. His voting record reflects a somewhat conservative Democrat but he's got the right message going on the war and other subjects. Clark is... Well, a Clark/Bush debate would be better than half the crap on Comedy Central.
  8. Oh dear god. It's spread to this forum.
  9. Worst Raw Wrestler(s): Slyvain Grenier Worst SD! Wrestler(s): Billy Gunn Worst Matches: Test/Steiner (Bad Blood), Vince/Stephanie (No Mercy), Stephanie/Sable (Vengeance) Worst Angles: "Mr America" vs Rowdy Roddy Piper, Rock vs Goldberg, Zach Gowan: Main Eventer Worst ppv: Unforgiven Biggest Disappointment: Sean O'Haire And the most coveted prize of all... TSM's Most Hated: Kevin Nash
  10. I saw Rico at a restaurant. No love? Anyway, I guess they come to this area more often than Vegas, but I'm still not interested in house shows. And SD has sucked so much I wasn't interested in going to that.
  11. Nintendo did this with their new Zelda bonus disk too. No more of the "PRINCE DARKNESS 'GANNON' STOLE TRIFORCE WITH POWER!" stuff.
  12. "Crazy" was okay the first time, since it featured none of her "frog in my throat" moaning, but then it got overplayed to hell and back. Without a shadow of a doubt, however, my favorite Britney Spears sound is silence. OR maybe a gun going off, followed by a "THUMP!," then the silence. I would absolutely not hit that, she is not going to transcend the decades like Madonna did, her career is basically on the slippery slope since started turning into a skeez and now America has realized she can't sing and is just waiting for the inevitable Playboy shoot when she gets desperate. I can't wait until she finally goes away.
  13. I like Rumble 92, but I was only 10 years old at the time. I didn't even like pro wrestling but the Rumble match sounded so interesting that I had to see it. I can still remember looking all beaten up but still in there. I haven't seen it again since then unfortunately, but I have an unfairly high opinion of it due to that.
  14. Ditto. Pointing a gun at an armed person is a threat, and if you're old enough to know what a gun is then you know that.
  15. XIII just came out, quite a few people like that one. Depends on if you just want to blast the hell out of shit or if you don't mind thinking along the way.
  16. I have difficulty not laughing during AngelSlayer's posts because his avatar causes me to read them in my head with an Arnold voice. And then posts like this send me near-hysteria. It's all fun and games until you elect the guy.
  17. YES. Exactly. Then you see why I consider that not a market worth fighting for. Although the Japanese gamers are generally pretty "hardcore", there's not nearly enough of them to really deserve a bunch of dating sims and panty shot simulators. The money from the US market is much higher. Exactly how this ties in with you not liking Xbox, I'm not sure. It's not like a lot of those games make it overseas anyway. Four? Six? Any one of them that wasn't just a teenage romance novel repackaged as a game?
  18. Please post less. No, wait, I take that back. Please post more. We have someone here who's just dying to meet you.
  19. No, Mike. I was just saying you're involved in conflict and I was taking the oppertunity to gush about a game I like since I've liked some of the games Duo may have liked (the more action-oriented FFs such as FF7 [not a fan of the ones with an overbearing love story though], Star Ocean 2, Suikoden, etc) and took a chance on KOTOR. Also, Xbox saw a big sales increase in Japan since dropping the price and releasing a PGR2 bundle. The PS2 is still flying high of course, and will until this generation is over, but I thought it was worth mentioning. This was the past week's games sales in Japan according to Enterbrain Monday. I've removed the stuff about how many copies each game has sold to categorize the games they are, so maybe we can come to a conclusion of what kind of game is what: # 1. Mario Kart Double Dash!!, Nintendo, GCN: ARCADE RACING # 2. Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest, Square Enix, GBA: RPG (Looks too quirky for American tastes) # 3. Siren, SCE, PS2: SURVIVAL HORROR # 4. Busin 0 ~ Wizardry Alternative Neo ~, Atlus, PS2: RPG (First person) # 5. Atsumare!! Made in Wario, Nintendo, GCN: MISC (Wario Ware for Cube. Quirky, but will probably make it here) # 6. NBA Live 2004, EA, PS2: SPORTS (Well-recognized US franchise) # 7. Super Robot Taisen Scramble Commander, Bandai, PS2: ANIME (Crossover mecha battling) # 8. Naruto Narutimate Hero, Bandai, PS2: ANIME (Fighting) # 9. Taiko no Tatsujin Appare Sandaime, Namco, PS2: MUSIC (Drum Simulator) # 10. Sister Princess 2 Premium Fan Disk, PSX: DATING SIM # 11. Pride GP 2003, Capcom, PS2: SPORTS # 12. Grand Theft Auto III, Capcom, PS2: ACTION (Well-recognized US franchise) # 13. Pocket Monsters Ruby & Saphire, Pokemon, GBA: MONSTER RAISING # 14. Shin Sangokumusou 3 Buraiden, Koei, PS2: ACTION (Dynasty Warriors) # 15. Simple 2000 Ultimate Vol. 13, D3 Publisher, PS2: MISC (Not Sure. Volume 6 was a boxing game with women in skimpy outfights fighting, so I imagine it wouldn't translate well here) # 16. SNK vs Capcom SVC Chaos, SNK, NeoGeo: FIGHTING # 17. Densetsu no Starfee 2, Nintendo, GBA: UNKNOWN (Only information I could find about was a track listing in Donkey Konga) # 18. Love Smash 5, PS2: SPORTS (Goofy tennis game that shows anime girls in skimpy outfits on cover and has all sorts of goofy hearts and crap in in-game shots) # 19. Super Mario Advance 4, Nintendo, GBA: PLATFORMER # 20. EX Jinsei Game, Takara, PS2: UNKNOWN (Don't have a clue what this is, features anime-ish characters on the box though) # 21. Hitman Silent Assassin, Eidos, PS2: ACTION (US game "Hitman 2") # 22. Front Mission First, Square Enix, PS: STRATEGY # 23. World Soccer Winning Eleven 7, Konami, PS2: SPORTS # 24. Rakushou Pachi-suro Sengen, Tecmo, PS2: UNKNOWN (Found nothing) # 25. Pokemon Pinball Ruby & Saphire, Pokemon, GBA: MONSTER RAISING # 26. G-1 Jockey 2003, Enterbrain, PS2: SPORTS # 27. Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, Bandai, PS2: ANIME # 28. Hanabi Hyakkei, Nippon Amusement Housou, PS2: UNKNOWN (What the hell is this?) # 29. Kirby's Air Ride, Nintendo, GCN: ARCADE RACING # 30. Made in Wario, Nintendo, GBA: MISC (GBA Wario Ware) So... What we have found is that aside from a few sports games and the very rare US franchise or action game, Microsoft needs more games for guys who wank off to anime girls. And monster raising with OMGKAWAII^________^*@*@_^% critters.
  20. The illuminati is real, and the illuminati wear dentures.
  21. You guys talking about "Smackdown becoming Cenadown" make me LOL and remind me of people complaining about "Raw is Austin" in 1996. But part of this is because I've long thought Cena was going to be the industry's next big star before it was trendy. The more you guys keep worrying about it makes me feel even smarter for seeing it coming.
  22. It not so much the style that kills him. Even if he were allowed to do everything it wouldn't help because McMahon bought him thinking that mask = high-flying. Tazz: I don't know, I feel better that Tazz isn't able to suplex everyone into the hospital anymore. Broken necks are already enough fo a problem as it is. Cruiserweights: So much missed potential here. Jamie Noble and Nidia need to break up and Noble needs to find something new to do. I don't give a crap if Nidia is really blind or not, it makes no difference to me. Tajiri is good, but does nothing for me as CW Champ. Moore could have been the new Jeff Hardy daredevil character, but Creative has decided to have him bump around like a maniac for hosses, which provides all of the injuries and none of the draw using him properly would. Mysterio is Mysterio, which means he'll be over no matter what he's doing.
  23. MacRumors has found that while this does do what it says it will, it's not exactly going to make anything playable. EDIT: Nevermind the bit that was previously here, it seems there's two different iTunes stories going around.
