    24 - Season 6

I'm guessing Andre Drazen. Debuted ~7 in the morning on Day 1, bossing around Gaines. Jack laid him out just after 11PM during his one man killing spree at the docks.

What the fuck do I do with yams?

Yams = Boniatos Boniato Casserole 6 medium boniatos, cooked 2 tablespoons margarine 1 cup raisins 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/3 cup sugar, or less to taste 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 cup corn syrup, or less to taste 1/4 teaspoon allspice 1 lemon, juiced 1/4 teaspoon salt Slice boniatos, and line greased baking dish with 1 layer of boniatos. Sprinkle over half the nuts and raisins. Put remaining sliced boniatos on top, adding another layer of nuts and raisins. Dot with margarine, pour over syrup, sprinkle on sugar and spices, add lemon juice and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes.

You'd be surprised at who the Bruins would be likely to move if they continue on the path that they are on.

Big Z is Boston's lone rep for the All-Star game. Good thing Lewis isn't making the teams or else he'd've found a way to start Mark Mowers. What are the requirements to play in the youngstars game? Two years or fewer in the league? I ask because they have Kessel but no Bergeron.

Bruins v. Rags starts the NHL on NBC tomorrow afternoon. Thomas will likely make the start for the Bruins, who really need to figure out how to play 60 minutes instead of the usual 45 as well as an excellent defensive showing. Big Z trailing Jagr is more comforting than Ol' Molasses Legs Hal Gill trying to and being embarrassed. No word on whether Jason York is well enough to make the start tomorrow, but I'm sure that no matter who starts on the third pairing they're not going to get more than 11 minutes.

Does anyone know where I can find EWR?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=e...G=Google+Search That first link (neoseeker) should do it. I followed the link to their forums, clicked on the stickied thread "EWR Downloads" and clicked "Actual Game". It was in German, but it started the download for 4.2

    Sports cliches and other sayings

For sports with playoff series "Their backs are against the wall" always bothered me. Just say "This is a must win." There's no reason to bring backs and walls into it.

I do not understand Dave Lewis. I do not understand Dave Lewis. I do not understand Dave Lewis. I do not understand Dave Lewis. I do not understand Dave Lewis. I do not understand Dave Lewis. I do not understand Dave Lewis. I do not understand Dave Lewis. I do not understand Dave Lewis. Chara - 29:31 (first game back from injury, too) Mara - 25:11 (probably his best game in a Bruins sweater) Stuart - 25:09 (played well) Alberts - 21:52 (played well) Lashoff - 10:49 (2 shifts in the third for a whopping 1:38, 0 minutes in OT) Jurcina - 9:10 (2 shifts in the third for 1:47, 0 minutes in OT) I completely understand the top four getting big time minutes, especially Alberts who has played very, very well of late. But I think we can figure out now why the Bruins have been having such a terrible time holding leads in the third: THEY'RE EXHAUSTED. How long until Lewis realizes that in order for the rookies to be able to help you out in game situations, THEY NEED TO PLAY IN THOSE SITUATIONS. There is no excuse for Phil Kessel having less playing time than Jeff Hoggan, there is no excuse for not using Kessel on the powerplay either, especially when his one strong suit right now is offense. The thing you need on the powerplay. The thing that Petr Tenkrat and his 4:20 of PP time (0 shots) is not supplying. Ugh. That said, it was at least an entertaining game. Miroslav Satan will likely get his next month as well. Don't shoot after the buzzer, chief.

Green got a bum rap in Boston last season, but I think he's probably done. Oh and a fun aside, Boston is still on the hook for half his salary next season. How Green is any worse than the skating corpse of Jeff Hoggan is beyond me.

Big Z is out tonight against Ottawa and Brad Stuart might also miss the game. Matt Lashoff and Jonathan Sigalet were called up, along with Hannu again. This could be bad.

  20. Went into EB Games to buy some cheap Xbox games to play on the 360. I walked in and the girl behind the counter starts our experience with: "DO YOU HAVE A PS3?! 'CAUSE WE DO!" "Um...congratulations?" "WE HAVE SIX! IF YOU WANT TO BUY ONE, HURRY! THEY'LL BE ALL GONE IN MINUTES!!" *Looks around the store...yep. I'm only one here* "EVERYONE WANTS A PS3!!!" "I'm sure they do." "ARE YOU GOING TO BUY ONE?!" "Hadn't really planned on it." "IT'S THE BEST SYSTEM OUT THERE!" *sees that max is looking at 360 games* "MUCH BETTER THAN THAT 360!!" "I'll make a mental note." Mercifully, the phone rang and she had to answer it. Upon paying for my purchases, I was barraged with the Game Informer card, was again asked whether or not I wanted to buy a PS3 (I told them I'd call them as soon as I dug up 700+ in cash), and finally was asked if I wanted to reserve Sonic the Hedgehog, which I was less than pleased to hear wasn't even for the 360. I don't think I'm going to shop at EB anymore.

I guarantee something will happen within the next week that shakes this team up. Whether it's a big trade (not Thornton big), a big demotion or someone being given the axe, something major is going to happen. 10-2 is not only inexcusable and embarrassing against an NHL team, to have what equates to the Marlies beating you 10-2 is so far past embarrassing that it's bordering on criminal. Not only is this team not even close to a playoff team, they are barely an NHL team at this point. What I would suggest they do: - Waive/kill Jason York. How this man continues to draw a paycheck and contribute absolutely nothing is simply baffling. I've said it numerous times. Matt Lashoff was up earlier in the season and outside of a few rookie mistakes, he played fine. Same with Mark Stuart, who is coming back from knee surgery and still played better than York. For fuck's sake, we could put Bourque out there in his current physical condition and he'd give more than York. The experiment failed. Move on. - Bring up some of the kids. I realize that "giving up" in January is not what Chiarelli envisioned happening, but it's obviously not happening this season. While there isn't a wealth of talent on the baby B's, there's certainly more than Hoggan, Mowers, Sauve and York. Send them all down and bring up Krejci, Karsums, Lashoff, Stuart, Versteeg, even Ben Walter. Come on up. - Begin negotiations with Brad Stuart. If he's not 100% on returning to Boston, dump him. He's the biggest trade chip they have right now. If he wants to resign, package Mara+ to clear salary. Ideally, I'd like them to go forward with Stuart.

Toivonen was sent down to Providence. No word yet on whether or not he starts against Hartford tonight or Worcester on friday. The Bruins recalled Phillippe Sauve. This means that Thomas had better walk around in a protective bubble, because Sauve can't stop a beach ball.

    Satellite radio

XM is the one drawing closer to actually making a profit, according to their 3rd quarter results. Both companies think that they're the stronger of the two, but neither is really strong enough to buy the other. Sirius is at least interested, while XM brass has come out numerous times and killed the idea of a merger. It's just not going to happen at this point. Both companies are losing money, but Sirius is losing more than XM and have seen their stock make very little noise in recent months.

    Satellite radio

That was started by Sirius, but has been shot down numerous times by XM higher-ups. It's Sirius trying to associate themselves with XM because XM is doing better.

    Satellite radio

XM sub. Bought it for NHL and MLB, but I stay on 202 for most of the day. Having had both, I'm much happier with XM than I was with Sirius. Sirius' music channels played more hits and well-known songs, which XM also plays but isn't afraid to go deeper into an artist's collection of music, which is nice. I have a MyFi, but am looking to get an Inno within the next few weeks.
