Then we all watch as David Ortiz is walked 680 times because he has no protection. Taveras is a nice leadoff hitter, which the Red Sox don't need. Lidge is a headcase with limited trade value.

A pal o'mine has had the same tv for a while and has had no problems. Thanks for your concern though.

Hey if they use any language that you find offensive, you can sue them! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,231743,00.html

Si. We got there early friday morning, having found one of the tv's misplaced in electronics on black friday. My gal stood guard while I emptied the truck out. I made a post on here while in the store, on my laptop because they tried to correct the mistake by taking the tv from our possession (We each were standing guard on the thing, like we were guarding a plate of money) and moving it back to layaway. The manager had to be called, since we weren't giving the thing up; They had fucked up by leaving it on the floor, I wasn't going to go stand in the line that was now at least 25 people deep, since I knew for a fact that they didn't have more than 8 of these tv's. So since I refused to move and wouldn't let them take the tv, we simply outlasted them and the p.a. rang out that it was 5am. So we bought the tv. Got it home (not easy with my back being wonky lately), set it all up, including moving half the living room to accomodate. Turn it on...doesn't work. Blank screen. I almost woke up the neighbors, but luckily caught myself at the last moment before I screamed in disgust. So, we waited until Sunday to take it back. Roll it in the truck, tie 'er down, go to the local Walmart, where they want me to pay the remaining cost on the tv. Well, that won't be happening. We happen upon the same manager (who I think wanted revenge for me having upstaged her on black friday), who refuses to do the return because the tv doesn't sell for 474 anymore, it's 894 now. So she says that we're on the hook for the extra money. I most respectfully disagree and Max v. Manager II is on. I win again by calmly pointing out the flaw in her logic (with the fact that she had just allowed a return for something else that wasn't the same price anymore) and leave. Not before getting her name and the picture from the manager's wall. We went to a Walmart in Fort Myers and returned the tv with no problems. Got her home, and it works beautifully. The attached picture is a bit blurry, but the tv works very, very well. A long post from me, but it's because I haven't really gotten to sound off on this at all so it's been festering for a few days now. I feel better now.

Looking more and more like my "Blackhawks make the playoffs" pick is going down in flames.
-
How many times can one watch 30 seconds of bad fights? I'm glad these sort of players are being fazed out of the game.
-
From Vancouver's standpoint, the trade would start with Luc Bourdon and likely Schneider, their goaltending prospect. The Blackhawks would be absolutely stupid to trade Seabrook, but then again, they're not exactly known for making the best personnel decisions. edit: Just found where that rumor started. Hockeybuzz.com, from Eklund specifically. If he's an insider for all things trade-wise, so am I.
-
If Tallon makes that trade, he deserves to be hung. Morrison might be able to land an autographed photo of Seabrook, not much more.

Fuck Walmart and fuck them up their stupid asses.

So yeah... Let's try this again. I am going to buy this tv. I want this tv. I don't want a 32 inch Westinghouse LCD. A pal o'mine has this exact TV and it works absolutely fine. You may not have noticed from my post, but I'm NOT looking for top of the line. I'm not even really looking for a TV. I found the one I want to buy. I was looking for help from two "HD guys" and was hoping that I would get help different from the tool at Best Buy. If you can help me with THIS TV, please do. Thank you.

http://www1.epinions.com/RCA_R52WM24_Telev...lay_~full_specs I'm buying this tv on black friday at Walmart but am completely clueless about HDTV specs. Can someone please explain what exactly I'm buying without trying to sell me a 2500 dollar tv? I'm set on this TV. The dickhead at Best Buy certainly couldn't understand, so I think someone here can.
-
Yeah, it's definitely not a bad time to buy an HDTV right now. We already have a 48" rear pro HDTV in our living room, but I'd like to get an LCD flat panel for our bedroom. Maybe Santa will be nice to me this year. Last year I ended up getting a bunch of stuff for the house, like tools and such. Yeah, that was nice, but I told people I want fun stuff this year. This is me and the gal basically buying up the anniversary present and xmas present in one thing. I certainly hope we get one. I might bring the gun...

We're doing black friday for an HDTV that is a nice price. Walmart's the place. I'm thinking we'll be there at ~4.

Pena swings at bad pitches and needs an overhaul on his plate awareness. He's coming along defensively and seems to run the bases well at times. If you think that Lidge would fetch both Pena and Hansen, you're crazy. He was once dominant, but he's a fucking headcase now. The Red Sox like headcase relievers (as evidenced by Byung-Hung Kim), but as much as they seem to think Hansen is slipping, I'd rather hang onto him than Lidge at this point.

I thought we'd be reading about the Western Conference. Not looking at the results of a fucking two minute Google Image Search. v.

Jesus fucking Christ. 3 < X The value of 3 is less than the value of X. X < 3 The value of X is less than the value of 3. 3 > X The value of 3 is greater than the value of X. X > 3 The value of X is greater than the value of 3. It's all relative to where the larger number is. That said, < is widely considered to be the "less than" because it looks like a goddamn 'L'. If you don't think it looks like an 'L', it certainly looks more like one than >. The Pacman/Alligator/Dinosaur thing may be hot shit in all Texas high schools and colleges, but it stopped being teached that way to us "Yankees" in the north in the fourth grade.

"Toby killed this bird!" is one of my favorite lines this season.
-
I know it's hip to hate Dane Cook, but I dare you to heckle him at one of his shows.
-
Well, what if they suck? Leave. People don't pay to see hecklers. The comedian is there to entertain the audience, not just you. It's one thing to heckle the tv or a mostly empty movie theatre. But the line is drawn when you disrupt a show because you think that you're absolutely fucking hysterical. If you think you're that funny, go to an open mike night and see just how unfunny you are.
-
The difference is that Hicks was talented enough to turn the crowd around and get them back on his side. Richards doesn't have the talent to pull that off.
-
Since they're taking the Christ out of Christmas, it had to go somewhere.
-
Correct. But who gave up that run? The answer of course, is Jesse Orosco.
-
And yet you'll still watch it. Like you always do.

If you're complaining that nobody is talking about the West (like you did a few pages back), normally you would try to jump-start the conversation about it. But you really haven't. that's not true. this just shows that they're ignored. i just posted about the big ducks and sharks game and the only part of that post you people reply to is the hilarious joke i made. i know my humor can overshadow something like hockey, but still. Well, the joke was...a joke? Yipes.

If you're complaining that nobody is talking about the West (like you did a few pages back), normally you would try to jump-start the conversation about it. But you really haven't. Go ahead and talk up the West. Like I said, I only watch Canucks games since my gal is a huge fan of theirs, but other than that, I don't watch any West games.
