Skip Bayless's show: A Retarded Guy Talks for 30 minutes! Tonight at 6!
-
Correction: A bitch who compares his current contract renegotiations to Jesus Christ.

Wakefield gets a pretty good amount of attention and respect for a guy who you don't know what to expect from start to start. He could go 7, with 3 hits and no runs or he could go 3 with 9 runs and 15 hits.
-
Didn't even notice you were gone.

Imagine the endless Crosby and Nash jokes. Oh man, if they ever signed a guy with the last name Stills, it'd be over.

Never seen Bottle Rocket, but the others I have as: Tenenbaums Life Aquatic Rushmore

I can understand no OAO for baseball, since you regularly contribute to those threads and may have a hard time following them, but we had an NHL Season long thread the last time there was a season. 2003-04 ended at 34 pages, what some baseball threads end up at. Surprisingly, it stayed on topic, talked of key games, injuries and player movements. I'm planning on starting another one to keep the hockey discussion (which most of the board will admit it doesn't care about) in one thread for the most part. Obviously, major news would require a separate thread, but for the most part, I would rather have one thread for the season.

Ball Park hotdogs with spicy mustard and relish with a LaBatt.

Praying that the Bruins get him. Expecting him to end up with...hm...I'll just take a guess and say Detroit.
-
Why not NHL? It's discussed by a grand total of like, seven people.

Or click back the sports page, check the date it was started and the number of posts before arbitrarily throwing out dates and numbers? I just did so, before posting this, and it took like 15 seconds ... it's not that tough (July 22, 2003 & 2255, at the time that I posted this) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, he started this thread like, five months ago and it got around 450 replies before the moderator finally changed their thread. And if they get a OAO thread for foccer, we get a OAO NHL 2005-06 thread.

Try an uninstall/reinstall. If that doesn't work, check for Firefox updates using another browser.

I disagree about Kiefer, since he's taken a wide variety of roles throughout his career. His role on 24 is his biggest thing now, but he's had a lot of characters that are memorable.

What's the beef between Joe Morgan and Ryne Sandberg?

Two years, I think.

If anything the numbers totally contradict your argument. In terms of both raw points and particularly points per ice time, Daniel is most definitely an effective 2nd line scorer, while Henrik is to a lesser extent. How many left wings in the NHL outscored Daniel Sedin last year? Answer: not very many. And even less did it with the sort of ice time he gets. He scored almost as many points as Rick Nash who gets worshipped despite producing under 60 points with massive ice time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To be fair to Nash, he has exactly one other offensive weapon. David Vyborny. After that, Columbus relies on such luminaries as Brian Holzinger and Andrew Cassels. Should Nikolai Zherdev play to his potential, that's another player to watch.

The guy also said that Jack was going to be gone after the ASB, before the second half started, so they could see whether or not it was Jack or just underacheiving players.

I thought Girardi was in line for Torre's job. Why would they fire McKeon? That's gotta be some bad karma. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I heard a guy on the radio who covers the Marlins for the Miami Herald, and he's convinced that because they fired Torborg in 2003 and then went on to win the World Series, that this will have the same effect. He also noted that it appears that most of the players aren't really listening to McKeon anymore because he can be abrasive and hurt the player's feelings.

I really don't like this trade. Arroyo is a good player, Shoppach is a good catcher, and Alvarez is a good pitcher.
-
They could have fun with a "Hit Derby" or something simular with targets set up on the field for points and whatnot.

You can't give someone the Vezina for the ability to "project" their stats to make them better. If you go by that logic, your argument against even considering Louie for the Vezina is hypocritical, as Louie is a much better goalie than Belfour. Project Louie's stats in with a halfway decent defense in front of him and he's lightyears past Eddie. Why stop there? Let's project what Iginla would have done with some offensive help. He likely would have had simular numbers to St. Louis, so let's give the Hart to Iginla.

Why not post something to generate conversation instead of fucking complaining all the time?

Work: cargo shorts and collared shirts is my dress code. I wear the same shoes that I've had for a few months now, but I need new ones. Casual: Warm-up pants. Not really into the swooshy sounding pants, but mesh-type athletic pants work well. I mostly just wear teeshirts and jerseys and whatnot. Mostly wear sandals.
