I think it was more a message of, if you are weak or allow evil to overtake you, you can only be saved by those who are loyal to you. Evidenced by the King of Rohan being saved by Eomer and Eowyn being loyal to him even when times were grim. And also by Frodo being seen as weak at times but ultimately having his ass saved numerous times by Sam. The underlying theme of the films is that friendship, loyalty and love go hand in hand with success. Not that evil is undefeatable. If evil couldn't be defeated and temptation always wins out, the eye wouldn't have fallen.

Leary in season 2 was nothing short of phenomenal, Keifer was just his usual self. I was more intrigued by Tommy Gavin. Jack had a pretty bad day this season though. Not to crap on Leary, but Sutherland was better, especially without having a way to be funny on the show. Hard to laugh when you're hi-jacking a plane.

Could have/should have gone to Kiefer or Denis Leary. The gal and I are arguing this one right now.

No defenseman that's good with Chara? Even from Ottawa, he was paired with Chris Phillips quite a bit. I'd say Phillips isn't exactly an elite player, but he's a pretty good physical defenseman. And it's only getting better for Boston with their best depth being at defenseman (M. Stuart, Lashoff, Jurcina, Alexandrov) But...I still don't understand the statement as it seems to contradict itself in a few places.

Never let the bitch get the remote. Extreme Makeover isn't bad...I'm usually online when it's on anyway. I just like seeing the finished houses and making inappropriate comments that make her turn red in the face. I hate that show but it is actually one of the shows that is good for people. Much better than "The Swan." Yeah, some of the shows are actually quite uplifting stories. But sometimes it just feels forced.
