http://www.nhl.com/highlights/index.html Ovechkin's goal can be seen under the Washington/Phoenix highlights if you haven't seen it by now.

I haven't heard anything lately and it seems that the Tejada talks have died on the vine.

So we could get Jack Bauer v. Jack Bauer? That sounds like a Nicolas Cage movie or something.

Bruins beat the Ducks in OT in an afternoon game. They had a 2-0 lead but ended up tied 3-3. Bergeron and Sturm work together very well (two goals on the 2-on-1 scenerio, including an acrobatic play from Bergeron to get Sturm's second goal). This set up their 2-on-1 in OT, after passing on both 2-on-1's in regulation, Bergeron lasered one through Bryzgalof for the win. Also of note was Alexander Ovechkin's goal in the Washington/Phoenix game this afternoon. Basically, he got knocked down in the left faceoff dot and while sliding towards the corner (not even facing the goal), he somehow got a strong enough shot off to score. Really has to be seen to be believed.

In the "scenes from next week's 24" they didn't give away anything specific, just showed clips and stuff. Looks to be a very good season.

Same here. It should be coming out on DVD soon.

Kim. End of discussion. It's a tie.

Two good episodes right off the bat. The Crazy First Lady plot annoyed me, but now that they seem to be going somewhere with it, it should end up good. I've been saying since season 3 that Chloe was hot and she's only improved as the seasons have gone on. I called Palmer getting shot when he was in front of the sliding door, but was definitely surprised at Michelle. I forgot how much I hated Logan at the end of season 4. He's probably the stupidest character in the show's history (even dumber than Teri). Good action so far and only two weak points for it, this makes for a good season.

Anyone know what the name of the song that's playing in the trailers on FOX? It's been driving me crazy for the last month or so.

I'm not an expert on things like this, so bear with me. I'm interested in a portable DVD player since they look cool, practical and I have some extra money to spend on one. Are there any specs that I should be looking for? I've seen a lot of them offering smallish screens (3.5"), but I have my eye on a 7" screen from Circuit City. My only issue is whether or not I should spend the extra money and get a magnavox or simular well known brand name one, or go with the Polaroid one that I'm really interested in. http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDeta...-_-Polaroid%207 that's the one I'm looking at. Just wondering if anyone has a portable DVD player and can give me tips or anything.

I'm assuming that the loss of JD hurts the Red Sox that badly.

Seems that there are a few people close to him based on the previews that I've seen: 1- The new woman he's hooked up with 2- The woman's son 3- Chloe 4- Audrey 5- Kim (wishful thinking on my part)

Oh no doubt that Hannu's #1 until proven otherwise. But to deal a talent like Raycroft, I'd expect something good for the upcoming seasons. Dealing for Conklin (someone who has yet to prove himself as a #1) and a 35 year old defenseman isn't exactly what I had in mind. I'd welcome a trade with Buffalo for one of their goalies, but I think Biron will be the one that they trade and they'll likely command high return for him. I'd like Noronen, but I think they're going to stick with Miller/Noronen and deal Biron. Murray will probably be gone, but I worry about his return as someone will likely just throw picks/C-level players at MOC to make the deal. Leetch...I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay. He's been the only constant on defense all season.

I guess ownership eventually gets tired of winning in this game. My objectives in order have been: 1- Advance to the second round of the playoffs (went to game seven of the SCF) 2- Go to the SCF (Won the Cup) 3- Win the Cup (Won the Cup) 4- Win the President's Trophy and the Cup (Did both) Now I'm in year 5 and my goal? Have a player win the Rocket Richard trophy (most goals in a season). I've done this the last three seasons with Bergeron. Seems like a step back for me. I think I might challenge myself by getting rid of my best player (Marleau) and trying to make things a bit tougher by starting mostly all draft picks. I drafted a goaltender that looks like a complete bust. Oh, and for tips on good goaltending, Brian Finley is a fucking steal. He's decent overall, but has lots of potential. Plus, he's been Patrick Roy II for me in the playoffs. He's won the last two Cups for me, going a combined 32-5 in those postseasons. He can be had for cheap. I know kkk doesn't necessarily need one (Fleury is unbelievably good in this game) but for a backup, Finley's great.
-
And a better goaltender than Ty fucking Conklin.

That bank account thing isn't so much a pain in the ass when you consider how much of a headache it saves you in the long run. God forbid you check an online statement once a day. It took two days for it to appear in my online statement and everything was verified and setup five minutes later. ebay's fine, as long as there's actual value in what you're selling. Don't sell crap that nobody wants, sell electronics, dvd's and sports stuff and you'll be fine. And be prepared as a seller for every excuse in the fucking book when someone suddenly decides that they don't want the item that they won the auction for. And be prepared for bitching and moaning if you give neutral or negative feedback on one of those people.

Carson Palmer's injury could be career threatening

If any athlete tears anything in their knee, it's career threatening. -
I've defended both Sully and Rayzor lately, but I've reached the end of my rope here. They played flat for two pretty big games (JT's return and the game after an ass-kicking), which is a sign of bad coaching. If Sully can't get them prepared to play properly, get him out. That game tonight was a fucking embarrassment. And I'm not trying to take away from the Kings, because they are a very good team, but the Bruins have officially stopped trying for Sully. This season is all but over. And the kicker of it is, they have a fucking moron in the GM's office making trades, so it's not even like any good trades can be made to acquire talent to build on. As it is, they're stuck behind big Z's contract (they owe him 56 million over 20 years I think) so he's unmoveable. Raycroft is playing like he's the next Lacher/Carey/Dafoe washed up flash in the pan, so he has practically no trade value.

4th all-time in games (1639) 11th in goals (640) 43rd in assists (698) 24th in points (1338) Most powerplay goals ever. I'd put him in.

JT makes his return to Boston tonight when the Sharks come to town. If you were going to the game, would you cheer a former player of your favorite team that was traded? Joe may not have been my favorite player in Bruins history and I've certainly criticized him a lot on here, but I think I'd cheer him to show him that his efforts were appreciated. Plus, the return that the Bruins got for him has helped (although it took some time). I've become a Marco Sturm fan because of the way he plays the game. He plays hard, smart team hockey. The Bruins have needed a player like him for a while now. Stuart is what I expected of him, a very good defenseman with good offensive skills. Primeau has certainly asserted himself on the third line (which I like the set-up of). So, it's hard to cry about JT leaving when he never brought the team to great levels of success in the playoffs. At the same time, I appreciated having his talent on my favorite team. I think the crowd is split tonight 60-40 in favor of Joe. Fans seem to be fed up with MOC and his band of morons making decisions. They recalled Thomas from Providence (he had to clear waivers, which was pretty nerve-wracking). Raycroft is apparently still day-to-day, so Jordan Sigalet may make his NHL debut. It's either him or Thomas, who has a whopping four games of NHL experience.

I'm assuming that the three pairs go with whatever lines (1st pairing with the top line, 2nd pairing with the second, etc.) and the least tired pair skates with the fourth line.
