Hopkins called into Jim Rome today because he wanted to vent about the decision. Basically said he controlled the fight from round 5-12 and that Jermaine was given the belt, and did not earn it.....so Taylor's camp is listening and call Jim Rome wanting equal time so Jermain Taylor comes on, Rome plays for him what Hopkins said and Taylor basically said, "I fought all 12 rounds and the judges saw that" He was humble and admitted that Hopkins came on strong in the later rounds, but he reiterated that the fact that he at least fought in every round is what gave him the fight. He also said Hopkins is a dirty fighter and knows all the tricks when clinched.

The show is funny, but it feels to camera-whore heavy. I mean the Osbournes was never the Emmy material of reality TV, but for the most part it was a camera catching the family act out, as where in the Hogan's everyone is ALWAYS playing up to the camera in just about every scene. Still funny though.

No, most America doesn't "know it" When I go to an A's game, no one is talking about the Yankees/Red Sox, nobody cares. The rivalry appeals to Yankees fans, Redsox Fans and the causual baseball fans that don't even watch baseball until the playoffs start. Other then that, you'd be damn suprised at just how much people don't give a flying fuck. Sure as a baseball fan I think the playoff series between them will be heated and exciting, but the rest of the season I quite frankly don't care about their rivalry as I have my own team and their success or lack thereof to worry about.

Oh btw, A's win with a walk off homer from Kielty.

A's/Rangers going into thr 14th.........would be big for the A's to take 2 out of 4 and win the series rather then settle for a 2-2- split. If only they were more efficient at bringing runners home....

Since both fighters are already talking about looking foward to the rematch I will assume it is a forgone conclusion. It will be interesting next time around because Hopkins had Taylor hurt a couple of times late in the fight, so I wonder if Hopkins might alter his usual strategy of "stand around for the first five rounds and then turn it on" and try to attack Taylor from the get-go.

Now that the Red Sox won the Series, most appeal outside of NY/Boston is gone. I mean before everyone hated the Yankees but we all equally laughed our asses off at the Red Sox for always losing to them, now The Red Sox did the unthinkable and won it all, so all that is really left is our collective hatred of the Yankees, but the Red Sox, no one cares about much anymore, except maybe for the media FACADE that they were somehow the "blue-collar" team compard to the evil empire.
