It has? Ok then, whatever you say.

No, not really, I am just simply pointing out that this diebold stuff is not simply post-election "omg we lost...ummm blame it on diebold yeah yeah, that will work" banter. It is an issue that has been discussed and argued for over two years.

As a student of journalism, I take great exception to that. With over 300 hours of hands on journalism at school, I can safely say it's not easy work. Polls are good to have, to give some idea of what will happen. Necessary? Nope. But why not? It only helps add to the political slant found in every medium. Exit polls: Also, why not? Seeing as how this election was likely the biggest of our lifetimes(certainly the biggest of our lifetimes to date), how many people were realistically glued to their television sets? 8, 9 figures? Without question. While votes are counted, there's only so much that can be reported. So, why not get a general idea of who did what, or who will do what? It had been widely noted by every major American network(although I didn't watch FOX, which I refuse because of its shameless right slant) that exit polls were not definite. Again, it at least gave us a general idea. Journalism is not easy, and certainly not for the lazy. Empathy, please. And before I get flamed for my Fox comment, yes, I'm privy to a college newspaper. Yes, it's pretty liberal. No, I don't take it as gospel. Bear that in mind if you reply, please. Thanks. My complaints about journalists aren't rare complaints. The bigger a journalist gets, the less work they wish to do. So, they replace polls with ACTUAL reporting. Can you name any ACTUAL reporting done in the past year or so? I have a hard time thinking of anything the MSM did. Networks can claim that "Exit polls aren't definite" --- but they play a STRONG role in when they call states (again, why do you think PA, which was closer than OH ever was, was called for Kerry quickly while OH wasn't called for a day or so afterwards?). The polls impact the "reporting" of the story --- and then the press has the sheer audacity to claim that the "fact" that they "cannot call a state for a candidate yet" (a problem SOLELY for Bush, mind you) is a bad sign for the candidate. FNC's election coverage was worse than the other networks --- and they were insanely horrendous. The only good things were Judy Woodruff nearly bursting into tears when FL went for Bush and Couric wearing black for two days after the election. Also, how can you bash FNC when you refuse to watch it? Fascinating stuff. Truly. A few tiny problems. Diebold machines are checked by an independent group REGULARLY and by client states who use them. It'd be a little impossible to rig them. Oh, just so you know --- the director of Diebold's elections-systems division is a Democrat. So is their head of marketing, Mark Radke, who has given only to Democrats. For MORE debunking of this really absurd conspiracy theory, try: http://www.wired.com/news/evote/0,2645,65665,00.html http://vote.caltech.edu/Reports/VotingMachines3.pdf http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...v10.html?sub=AR -=Mike One of the sources wanted me to download something so I rejected it, but the other two articles didn't debunk anything, they simply stated that if the fraud occurred then it would the most amazing fraud in election history, to paraphrase.

Censorship via Media Consolidation should worry people as well.

I find it kind of funny and frustrating to, that people had been making a fuss over these Diebold e-voting machines for over 2 years now, yet it was basically ignored. Or the fact that www.billionairesforbush.com made a parody of how the voting machines would be manipulated and screwed to insure Ohio was delivered for George Bush, including the quote from the manufacturer of the diebold machine saying he would personally deliver Ohio for George Bush. Now, if this had happened post-election I would write it off like everyone else, but the fact that all this was being made an issue over, 18 months ago......well that is different.

For the miniscule amount of matches on this dvd, I'd say it has been one hell of a success. I think Vince should considering more ECW dvds in the future.

The offense is worse, but the defense is better. Brunell was the biggest mistake of the offseason, watching Ramsey today, seeing how he handled the offensive scheme better then Brunell has all season, reiterates this point that Ramsey should have been the starter from day one, and now he gets to spend the second half of this season learning and doing what he should have been doing through the first 8 games. Didn't I say Ramsey should have started from day 1? You're not the only one......

Conservative Redskins offense getting them nowhere, and now find themselves down 6-14.....ugh. I guess it isn't quite a blowout...YET!?!

If this is the teaser, then yes I have seen it. Trailer looks decent.

I liked Halloween 3 even though it had nothing to do with Myers, but then again that is what the "Season of the Witch" subtitle is probably eluding too. Halloween 4 & 5 I liked at the time they were made, but I was also a young, a pre-teen I believe, and admit they have aged horrible. I have only seen H20 once, it was at the theater and I enjoyed it, but didn't really think it was that great, and Resurection is a freaking embarrasment to the series.

WWE News and Notes from 11/22 Observer
NoCalMike replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Wow this report really destroyed WWE. Amazing. I do pretty much agree with everything said, especially the stupid promo between Snitsky and Heidenreich , because I thought that kind of stuff went out in the late 80's. -
I need some help on the mission where you use the mini-airplane to kill the couriers. I am not that good at flying the plane, but I am good enough to position the plane behind the couriers and shoot. My problem is though, when I am down to only two couriers, my fuel level is so low that I end up failing the mission while I am in pursuit of the last two couriers. Is there a place to refuel, or is it a matter of just trying different combinations of which couriers to get first so they all end up coming close to me, so I won't run out of fuel?

No, GTA 3 is the last of the GTA games on the time line. Vice City, then San Andreas, then GTA 3. Hence, when you are on the mission with Catalina where she wants to race you, the "new boyfriend" she introduces you too, is the main character from GTA 3, and after the race, she says they are heading to Liberty City.

I don't listen to Rush so I couldn't comment, but as far as Savage goes, he definately DOES make outrageous comments like those above.

This is a good point, but one of my (few) problems with ECW was that they would have 15-20 minute squash matches, or basically extended squashes, which in my mind, were totally unrealistic. I mean there is only so many times you can watch Tommy Dreamer get his ass kicked for 20 minutes and then be "Shocked" when he lost. Joey Styles would totally oversell when Tommy was pinned, because he was basically getting squashed in guise of an actual competive, back and forth match. These types of "back and forth"matches were supposed to climax in an emotional outcome, but Tommy getting pinned was inevitable, thus killing the emotional impact of the finish. I think Heyman wanted EVERY match to be good. While that is a good idea in theory, sometimes you need one guy to look a lot better than another. There was no need for RVD to need 25 minutes to beat Spike Dudley when no one in the arena or at home knew Spike had a chance in hell of winning. Plus, some guys just shouldn't be in the ring for over 20 minutes and Heyman did that a lot with Shane Douglas, Pitbulls, Dudleys, etc. Well I would say that ECW in their later days became a more conventional fed, as in they featured your basic squash matches to promote wrestlers, but that was because they needed to expose themselves to a new audience FAST and they needed to establish who their stars were and showcase them, as opposed to the good ol' days of 94-97, when ECW's fanbase was small enough that everyone knew of every worker in the federation, and every match truly felt like it could go either way because the booking was pretty unpredictable and unorthodox.
