The DNC has fostered an atmosphere where burning swastikas into lawns, vandalizing signs and cars, storming into Bush/Cheney HQ, shooting at Bush/Cheney HQ, stealing computers from Bush/Cheney HQ, etc are considered OK and legitimate weapons in political warfare. One would have had to have ignored the exceedingly shrill rhetoric from the Dems to ignore that. Did Nixon TELL the Watergate burglars to do what they did? Nope --- but he sure as hell fostered an environment where that was viewed as being OK. -=Mike Yep, right on schedule. And the usual bilge from NoCal is unleashed. Well, it's better than the USUAL brainless blather from you. -=Mike I am not the one that just claimed, "the dnc has made an enviornment where it is OK to do this type of stuff" Considering you didn't point out, what exactly he did to support your claim, but I forgot that in MikeSC's world, when he makes thing up it is fact. This of course coming after folks at the RNC handed out purple bandaids to mock wounds sustained in battle.

-
Lemme guess Mike, John Kerry gave the hoodlums the orders to do this?

Simpsons 5th Season on DVD December 21st
NoCalMike replied to AnonymousBroccoli's topic in Television & Film
they must have pushed the date up to make it a viable christmas option, because Amazon has it listed for January 21st. Season 5 Rocks. I can't wait. -
Gremlin? I thought it was Goblins.

Hell Veronica has been on every single one in exsistence. Of course when she is basically a sure thing to sleep with all the male members of both casts, I could see why the Guys want her around every time.

Come Friday, and this entire thread will be a moot point. Bush had some big speech today, feeling cocky and shit, spouting off one-liners left and right, I bet he is ready for the debate big time..... Of course when he looks down at the podium or table on Friday night and there isn't a paper with a speech written for him, I fully expect his "deer in the headlights" look to re-appear only to be topped with his "it's hard work" explanation for the mess in Iraq.

From what I have seen regarding all the who is more powerful then who, Yoda was the most powerful of the Jedi, but Palpatine was probably the strongest of all because the bad side of the force was mutating him into another physical form. Also, I think Mace Windu if his part was bigger would probably have been the second greatest Jedi master as far as skills go. And lets not forget, Obi-Wan beats Vader, nearly kills him in Ep. III, and when Vader gets his revenge, Kenobi, basically lets Vader strike him down because Kenobi is one with the force and knows he can be more beneficial to Luke in spirit.

I have the Suspiria 3-disc limited edition DVD & Opera 2-disc collectors edition. Argento is the man, and Asia Argento is a hottie. I have also seen Tenebrae.

I hate the trend of the last few years to air the halloween episode AFTER halloween. When I was a kid we would go trick or treat, have our butts back in time for the treehouse of horror, eat some candy, and then head back out on another route.

Well it is not like anyone else is any rush to have these voices of descent heard. I mean I do agree, that if it came from someone else other then Moore, then maybe more notice would be taken, however if Michael Moore is the only current means to get these voices heard, then so be it. Of course, maybe it's the fact that there AREN'T too many voices of dissent in the first place. Maybe I'm just shaving with Occam's Razor too much... well ok, but who exactly ever said there were? Moore is just publishing what he is getting, what is wrong with that?(as long as they are all legit). Who has pointed to these letters and said, "seeeeeeeeee all the troops hate the war"? Would it also, however, be fair to say some troops might not feel comfortable speaking out, or have mixed emotions about it? I doubt it. My gf's brother doesn't have any problems bitching about his commanders or anything of the sort. These guys get pissed, they'll say something. Well I didn't mean just in casual conversation, I mean more like writing a letter with their name on it that can be referred back to, something on the record.

Yes, but I don't think hot temperatures inspire people to write letters of angst against the leadership, especially if that is their ONLY issue with the situation. War is hell, no matter how "good" or "bad" it is going. I am sure on routine missions, soldiers witness things that will stay in their minds forever.

well don't forget also, that F9/11 has now been airing in the middle east and regardless of how WE feel about it, I am sure it may have an effect on SOME troops, possibly. That alone could lead to some descent, and maybe could explain why they would email Moore to vent.

I am going to buying the box set on Friday. I can't freakin' wait. I always had a special place in my heart for Friday the 13th(well at least 1-7) because they had a certain campiness(no pun intended ) to them. With part 8, you kind of saw Paramount try to take that element away, but it was still hilarious because of the lousy attempt, and it ended up being a decent piece to the collection.

How would you spend your last day alive?
NoCalMike replied to Dr. Tyler; Captain America's topic in General Chat
I think it is also difficult for those of us not married or with children, because I mean what ELSE can you really put on THAT sort of level of HAVING TO DO......this one will take some thought. -

hmmm...tough question. It would probably depend on when it was, I mean are we supposed to answer this assuming our last day would be today at our current age? -
has anyone watch the Q & A yet? I am about to, after I update my resume.

to answer the thread starters question: NO.

And a retrospective of the 2004 RNC
NoCalMike replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
Not much, actually. The movie deals SOLELY with disproving every single thing Moore claimed in his film --- and does so brilliantly. Nope. It's a documentary where they disprove every one of his comments from his film with actual information. Except there is an appalling lack of, you know, sketchy info in it. A film that definitely needs to be seen when one sees F 9/11. -=Mike your willingness to write everything in F 9/11 as lies is only topped by your praise and worship of everything being "fact" in Hyper 9/11. Dick Morris is a hack, always has been, always will be. And the fact that HE is behind Hype 9/11, only makes it that much more hilarious watching your blind support and praise.
