WWE demanded a high sum of money from Hooters for the right to continue showing PPV's.

Okay, are we talking about the skinny kid who acts like a weedhead? Sometimes he was a few rows back? And he always pointed to the sky? And you could see him elbow the person next to him to get their attention and then point to the ring when they were already looking at it?

The rules are simple. Someone randomly posts a quote and someone else quotes it in a reply and gets one guess per post. Posting two or more guesses is not allowed. Of course, some of the quotes will be paraphrased. I will begin. "To me, you or anyone in your family isn't worth TWO CENTS! So what do ya think about that?" (SLAP!)

I dislike apartments for numerous reasons. 1. You lose money. 2. Parking or lack thereof. 3. Dirty people sending their ants and roaches your way. 4. Loud people. 5. No garages (though sometimes car ports). 6. Landlords taking their time in fixing stuff. 7. See #1 again. And while you're at it, #4, too. 8. Rental agreements.

Susan Hanafee apparently doesn't have much of an imagination. I can think of 10 things WAY more cowardly than that. Like crashing commercial jet airliners into buildings and dying in the process before there is a chance to exact retribution? That's like a boxing match where Tyson gets a cheap shot in on Holyfield, who is in the corner still getting prepped, and then biting his ear off and running to the parking garage and taking off in a limo before Holyfield has a chance to hit him back.

Who buys McDonald's happy meals and who are happy meals marketed to? BTW: We're on the same side of this debate... I know, hippie. You are playing devil's advocate. -

You're right. In fact, we should redistribute his hard-earned wealth to the TRULY needy. Better yet, cancel his tax cut and use it to reduce the deficit. Better yet, keep my tax cut and use the money from garbage like "endowment for the arts" to pay off the deficit.

I grew up on GI Joe and other violent shows and games. I turned out fine. My son is 3.5 years old. I say 8 is a good age to play violent games, with supervision and an ongoing dialogue. As for the marketing...who buys it? The parents. This is the USA and we can make and play any games we want. -
Behold! The obvious about Iraq is revealed!
LessonInMachismo replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Saddam had stockpiles of weapons that were banned by the sanctions after The Gulf War, but were sold to Iraq nonetheless all throughout the 90's by our supposed allies: Russia, Germany, France to name a few. The "insurgents" are using mortars and rocket launchers of French make that were sold years after the sanctions were put in place. Really bizarre how the Triumvirate of Treachery didn't want to go into Iraq, isn't it? Christmas cards exchanged between Russia and Iraq's top Intell guys were found in the rubble of bombed buildings. I saw on TV for myself when they were wheeling out missiles that were capable of reaching a range far past that which Iraq was allowed...perhaps enough to hit our ally Israel. Democracy is spreading like wildfire in the region. Saddam's evil sons were killed in a most sensational manner. So, to me, not finding WMD's isn't even an issue. No, it was not the sole stated reason for invading Iraq. Check statements and speeches from January and February. -

Don't forget his wife's claim of being an "African-American." Man, I would have won either way in November. Bush wins, yay for me. Kerry wins, yay for four years of comedy. As for the GTA thing...the liberals don't like games like this because they glorify the evil objects known as firearms. This position is no surprise at all. The thing about being a gun-grabber is that you are consistent. I just don't understand it. Are we supposed to ban these games? They have ratings on them. -
The sad part is that you might be right. "Wow, that one car over there is going to save me 50% of my gas costs over what I'm currently driving, but it doesn't look as good as that new H2 that gets 2 mpg!" People are so fucking stupid. "You do not understand."-Kosh

You're right. In fact, we should redistribute his hard-earned wealth to the TRULY needy. I worked 72 hours a week at two different jobs in 2003. It was rare to get a day off from both jobs. The extra money helped me to pay my house payment. I paid off one car. I paid off $5,000+ in debt. My credit was then near perfect. I quit the second job, and they begged me to stay because of the excellent job I did for them. So I had no debt, aside from another car payment and the house, and I had a surplus in my account. I then got promoted at the first job due to my hard work. I passed up people who'd worked there for twenty years because they knew I was the man for the job due to my work ethic and keen decision-making ability. We put the house up for sale late last year. We basically HAD to. The stupid ass city of Fayetteville, Arkansas (which is like the liberal bastion of the entire Mid-South) was trying to get a law passed that would CAP the value of a property and all profits that would be made from the actual appreciation went into some kind of expense account for liberal projects in the city. So the house sold and I had chosen a new house just outside city limits in the suburbs. Out here, there is no mandatory recycling. I can pile up five bags a trash and the hard-working men from the private sector will pick it up and haul it away. In the city, you were allowed to put two bags in a provided can. If the can was open more than six inches, they charge you $6 or $6 for each additional bag. I hear that the city is having trouble finding someone to buy the junk to be recycled, too. Last I heard, they were considering a citywide firearms ban. That will go along fine with the plan to cut down on "light pollution" at night. Serial killers running amok in a town without the means the protect itself. No thanks. So yeah, why do I (or anyone?) need to pay more taxes to pay morons who are debating such issues as light pollution?

Speaking as someone who actually pays taxes, and doesn't live off of their parents, I'm wondering why you even care. Speaking as someone who just bought his second brand new house in three years and has probably paid more taxes than you ever have, there is no wonder as to why the Bush-supported tax cuts have helped my family of four. See what happens you make assumptions? Live off of their parents? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You were 17 in 1998 and you've already bought two houses and support a family of four? I'm not sure if that's dazzling or obscene. Seventeen in 93/94. And I don't support my family alone. I have a wife who also works. It's dazzling.

A lot of money is being misspent. Especially locally in a lot of cities. Raising taxes to pay for people to eat when they can get a job is a waste of money. Paying taxes so the streets can be paved is a necessity. The deficit. Ha. Can you explain to me why and how the deficit affects you?

Bigelow/Andre aired on Prime Time in the summer of 88 and the announcers were not so subtely burying Bam Bam during the match, now I know why Lord Alfred Hayes could be an asshole with some of his snide comments, couldn't he? I LOVED the end of the Bam Bam manager selection thing. Slick was on the interview stage acting all cool like he was the one and then Bam Bam yelled in his NJ accent, "YOU AIN'T MY MANAGA AND YOU WOULDN'T BE MY MANAGA EVEN IF YOU WUH THE LAST MANAGA IN THE WORLD!" I remember the Apter mags were all over BBB for being so wishy washy when it came to jumping ship. If I am not mistaken, he wrestled for no less than four companies in '88.

He's a member of the LME. I remember in a "JMS for President" thread or some such, he once said he'd send the Army Corps of Engineers into South-Central and have them build cheap housing. What, so they can tear that up, too? His ideas are borderline ridiculous. I remember Rising Stars was so awesome until the centuries-long war between Israel and Palestine (and their buddies) is ended when the entire region's soil is transformed into arable land. That killed the series for me. Bah, there was more to it than that. But that is the gist of it. Because these people probably have jobs to go to. And stuff. I was watching At Large with Geraldo Rivera a month or so ago and he was interviewing Michael Jackson "supporters." There was a fat redneck kid from TN who quit his job to move to LA to support MJ. WTF? What kind of mindset brings about such a decision?

Did anyone catch the first episode of Real Pro Wrestling? I totally forgot, but I have a chance to catch it on Wednesday on FSN. If anybody saw it, please let us know how it was.

Let me just first say that Boxer is a loudmouthed cunt. In my junior year in high school, me and my Republican group at school worked to keep her from getting re-elected. Her and Feinstein. We failed. On the whole check and balance thing... J. Michael Straczynski, creator of Babylon 5 and comics writer, was bitching about the same thing a few months ago. He was whining that the GOP was taking over and this and that. I was like, "What do we do, remove Republicans from office to balance it out?" Go write some comics, Joe. As for the whole partisan thing... I am and have been a registered Republican. I am an economic libertarian and a social moderate. If you want to raise taxes, you suck. If you want more regulation, you suck. If you're gay, hey, cool with me. Don't think you should be able to get married, but you're cool. If you have an abortion, you are pretty lame, but I'm not going to go psycho on you. If you have three or four, then I see you as a shitty human being, but I still won't go 5150 on you. If a court decides to "pull the plug," for all intents, constructions and purposes, on a woman who is all but brain dead, then I say do it. If the family wants to pay for keeping the woman alive, then more power to them. I will go further and say give it a vote and if the community wants to pay for it, then more power to them. I'd vote to let her die. But doing a bunch of crazy protesting stuff is embarrassing and not mainstream in the bulk of GOP voters. Also, I am not so sure that an overwhelming percentage of these protesters are Republicans. Protesting anything is so...stupid.
