In my day there were at least five, maybe even six comic strips worth reading. We had it good. Now it's either terrible political and social commentary vaguely disguised as humor (Candorville? La Cucaracha?), or third-rate wacky hijinks. Oh, TAG. And I used to like this strip. It lookedat first like a fresh and new type of humor, but the insistence on reminding us that it's a comic strip, and association with another bad comic, Get Fuzzy, led it to suck. The only new comic I've seen that is bearable is Frazz, which is usually smart, but unfortunately sometimes pretentious. O what has happened to the newspaper comic strip?
