  1. I got stood up 3 times tonight. Everyone's flaking out on me, I'm so pathetic - all I have to rely on is this wonderful thread now. Also, a hummingbird almost flew right into my face. I mean, it was heading straight on and just cleared my head 2 inches in front of me. This actually happened a while ago but I thought I'd mention it here. So many people are reading that "who's your favorite Leena" topic, but it's so boring. I expect everyone will start reading this one now that I bumped it by marking all read!
  2. oh ok it'll be live Impacts from now on.
  3. The more I think about it, the more I realize that Breath of Fire V could be considered a masterpiece. Everyone should play it.
  4. Joe vs. Kobayashi hot dog eating contest and I'm hoping there's no fluff multi-man x division match, Starr would probably come back in that.
  5. weenie and the BUTT was better than the entire last season of family guy
  6. Star Ocean 3 actually is medieval/sci-fi.
  7. a real fan's revenge match would have the fans throwing various pastries on jeff jarrett. the more food on him, the hungrier and angrier joe gets. jarrett would eventually be mauled by the hippophant, and the circle of life would be complete.
  8. Star Ocean 3

    PS2 Games.

    but you really should
  9. oh yes
  10. so what have you played since then?
  11. I actually didn't respond to that last quote. This thread shouldn't be closed because it is a nice chance to chat about what's going on with the board. I can't be the only one marking these topics as read instead of drudging through them.
  12. ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  13. Yeah, not only do I disagree with the idea that it makes everything else pointless, but it also shouldn't ruin your enjoyment of previous games. (there are 3 previous SO games) FFX-2 wouldn't make you like FFX any less, at least it shouldn't. I've never played SO3 in English, so I don't even know the full story, but I will give credit on the plot twist. A lot of people hate it, but it says a lot that they were willing to take a chance and go through with it. It's not a concept that has been explored in RPGs, at least not ones I've played. It obviously inspired a lot of emotion in people who played it, but thinking about it, I don't think it's hateable. And if they can do that, they can certainly dream up a story for a sequel. No way does it destroy a chance for that.
  14. After recently listening to it again, I have to add SaGa Frontier 2's soundtrack to the list of greats. The classical-minded, sometimes dissonant music is actually something that can be appreciated without ever knowing the game. The chord progressions and harmonies are unusual to game music, but it's composed so that it all works. Nothing sticks out in an unfavorable way. The composer, Masashi Hamauzu, is undoubtedly the best working for Square. He's also composing the soundtrack for FF13, which can only be good. It also led to one of the greatest game albums ever, a disc full of piano solo and orchestral arrangements which I have not tired of after 7 years.
  15. Yeah it was probably a better 2 hour block than usual. I don't know about AD and War at Home switching times, though.
  16. i see an extraneous question mark in the topic title
  17. i take that response as a forfeit
  18. Just toss some bear claws to the side and he'll be distracted.
  19. 30. Visit the convinient thread alignment thread for more hijinks!
  20. well i liked the movie before it was cool to say that you liked things before they were cool beat that
  21. Xenogears. I wasn't going to argue about it, especially since nobody actually brought up a valid point against the game.
  22. Sagat: Is this a joke? This money isn't worth the paper it's printed on! Bison: On the contrary, every Bison Dollar will be worth five British Pounds. That is the exchange rate the Bank of England will set, once I've kidnapped their queen. Chun Li: Colonel Guile? Colonel Guile! Colonel Guile, Chung-Li Zang, GNT News. May we speak to you, please? Colonel William F. Guile: No. Chun Li: But don't you want to speak to the world audience? Colonel William F. Guile: No, but I do want to talk to someone. *takes Chung-Li's microphone* Colonel William F. Guile: That bastard Bison! I know you like to look at yourself on television, you sick son of a bitch. So look at this! *flips Bison off*
