  1. Drew Fickett will be challenging Jake Shields for the EliteXC Welterweight title and American Top Team Middleweight Jorge Santiago will be taking on an opponent yet to be named.
  2. No arguments here, Cote has improved and looked solid in his past fights but until he fights somebody other then stand-up guys I'll withold judgement.
  3. Where did I say that I'd seen Stout's last fight? Oh, and the UFN did very well in ratings given how little hype was put behind it.
  4. In what we shall file under "Pretty fucking cool" Rampage will be the second fighter in MMA history (next to Randy) to star in a Nike commercial with Lebron James and others that will be filming shortly.
  5. Mac Danzig is a TUF winner, his fight should make TV without any questions. Mmm-hmm. And that main even of the UFN against Spencer Fisher that was a FOTYC makes Stout.....what now? ILF needs to think before he posts, especially when he's calling Stout and Clementi limited in contrast with Bocek and Danzig.
  6. Stout/Clementi should be making air in place of Bocek/Danzig, IMO. But like Mik said, for those of us going it doesn't matter. I work with a guy who's going too so it's nice because we're kind of like a support network for each other to get through the day. If we see each other in the halls or walk by each others desk we always mention something Montreal-related.
  7. I'd say Gouevia gets the call. They've done too good of a job setting up the big LHW matches to the point where (besides Wilson) there's really nobody around to take on Chuck. Another option would be to have Gouveia fight at UFC 84 and give Chuck somebody like Jardine or Rashad.
  8. Martin Kampmann will make his return against Jorge Rivera at UFC 85 in London.
  9. You get no arguments here. Still doesn't excuse the gayness. Huerta's tats are bad for business in that people who haven't seen MMA before are drawn to him because of it.
  10. Now that that the tickets are good and the hotel is booked..........oh shit. This is really happening. The commercials during the show last night had me freaking the everloving fuck out. BTW, right now it's...... GSP by submission Franklin by TKO Quarry by DEC Danzig by TKO Bisping by TKO Doerkson by DEC Hironaka by TKO Maia by Submission Clementi by Submision
  11. Oh man, you're so gay for Huerta.
  12. I really don't think you know what you're talking about... Leben will never be a contender? Newsflash, he was a contender in the past... Hell his fight with Anderson Silva was basically a #1 contenders fight. I don't see why he can't back into contendership, especially now he's training seriously, and has been in good shape. His style is sloppy and he eats a lot of punches, but guess what? It works for him... That type of style got him W's over very good competition. Koscheck is getting better each fight, he always has been. He has unlimited potential... I've already explained my case why I think Koscheck could be a champion(most likely by next year), you haven't really put up a valid argument to why he can't beat GSP. He held his own the 1st fight, and now that he keeps on getting better, I don't see why he can't beat him. And no Chuck can't and wont cut down to 185, to even suggest it is pretty stupid. Chuck isn't a small 205er by any means... Plus being the Lig ht Heavyweight champion again is his goal. So it will never happen... Maybe if Anderson moved up to 205... Which again wont happen. Way to miss the recent Sherdog interview where Anderson talks about moving up in weight.
  13. Agreed. Koscheck would be a huge signing for EliteXC as I imagine they'd want him against guys like Diaz and Shields pronto.
  14. Ripper is good people so this sucks. All the best amigo.
  15. Anderson throwing a knee to Hendo's chest cavity instead of the traditional knees to the ribs when he had him down was fucking boss. I'm LOL'ing like a motherfucker at the "Bring in Lindland" calls. Him and Hendo are close in terms of style with a few big differences, the main ones being that Hendo has better hands, KO power and the willingness to get crazy if it means a takedown or clinch. Lindland brings none of those things to the table. I'd really enjoy seeing The Law get his shit pushed in by our reigning MMA overlord.
  16. Good thing you think I'm a brilliant cat. Of course Koscheck wouldn't have the same game plan. But do you honestly think GSP would too?
  17. Because Serra got inside of GSP and Koscheck likes to stand and trade from the outside while winging the occasional right hand that misses by a mile?
  18. I'd love somebody to explain to me how Koscheck will beat GSP. *Takes a seat, checks watch. Has a sip of water.*
  19. With GSP standing at the top of the mountain........no.
  20. All your bases belong to Anderson Silva. Bring on Montreal.
  21. I normally wouldn't agree with a Sherdog article but when they talk about how there's two Henderson's that can show up they're correct. If we get the one that beat Wanderlei and went hard with Rampage show up it'll be a rough night for Anderson, especially if early on it's established that Henderson can effectively take him down and maintain position. If the Hendo that looked positively average against Bustamante, Kondo and Misaki shows up he is likely in for 25 minutes of pain or even his first stoppage loss.
  22. Fuck. I just realized how badly I don't want Silva to lose. And I likes Hendo but c'mon, it's Silva. The path of destruction must continue on.
  23. I have to pick Silva just 'cause but I'm more concerned that if Henderson can establish early on an effective takedown/ground and pound gameplan that Silva will be on his way to a decision loss.
