Ryan is SO in my top five on that show, hands down. The most "normal" and "real" character they've got and if I were to say that the show is being narrated from one characters perspective it'd be him.

I'm actually pretty fuckin amped for this card. Fisher/Franca is a potential FOTY, Herring will hopefully make a good showing against O'Brien, Nate/Dean is being pretaped so if it's good we'll see it and Rashad and Salmon were alllllll up in each others grills at the weigh-ins. Fun night ahead, methinks.

Arkin was good in LMS but for something like 30 mins. of work I question the nod. Ditto for Breslin. Streep's performance was overrated and The Queen is a one-performance movie that should've just been given a nod for Mirren. But if Gosling wins T-Dot is going to explode. That's the darkest of dark horses right there.

I doubt I'll even tune in to watch this year. If Children of Men had actually, ya know, been nominated for something I might've but that's a pretty uneven list with some serious omissions and some undeserving nods.

I just got a call a few minutes ago (6 PM Eastern time) that my 10 AM shift for tommorow morning has been cut. I've been on the Ontario Labour Board site and can't find any information but I'm pretty sure that employers need to give at least 24 notice if they're cutting a shift, otherwise I get paid for the minimum scheduled shift time which would be 3 hours. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Children of Men should get a ton of nominations but it won't. Dreamgirls and The Departed will kill everybody in the overall nods department. They should just cut down on the time for the actual show and present Jennifer Hudson and Helen Mirren with their awards at the announcements.

Should've came to the Olympic Island show in the summer when they played with Broken Social and Feist, they fucking slayed that crowd. And yes, The Docks is one of the worst possibly places to see a concert which sucks because some of my favourite bands (Stars, Interpol) have played there.
