And yes, I know UFC originally had a LW division before PRIDE did.

I don't think the timetable is anything official but there is also a "Contact not allowed until _____" area of the suspensions which I assume relates to how long before they're allowed to go back to their training regimes or specifically stuff like sparring/grappling.

Medical suspensions are up, nothing significant cept for Franklin and Fitch who are both done until April with nasal fractures. Sucks for Fitch as I'm sure UFC had plans to put him on another card before then.

PRIDE in Japan can be more exciting then UFC due to the four-point attack rule which allows for kicks/stomps/knees on the ground, a huge reason why the majority of Brazillian fighters to to PRIDE instead of UFC. PRIDE has more depth in terms of their divisions, especially the HW side of things.

One of my friends last night made a good comment re: Silva facing the TUF winner: "That's supposed to be your reward?"

Lister will need at least another two fights under his belt before he's ready. Dana said at the press conference that he'd like to see Swick fight once more before he's ready for a title shot. Silva will be tied up with Swick, maybe Marquadt, the TUF winner and a possible Franklin rematch in 2007, I don't see Dean fitting in on the UFC's list of priorities.

Yeah, I'm not at all seeing how Salaverry could take Silva at this point.
