  1. With such a cool name like Wolfslair.......how can they suck?
  2. It hasn't been confirmed by Bisping or the UFC, just one of those assumption-type dealies. A lot of the TUF guys went up in weight to fight and most cut back to their natural class afterwards. Diego- Cut to WW Florian- Cut to WW then LW Koscheck- Cut to WW Stevenson- Cut to LW Evans- Cut to LHW Jardine- Cut to LHW
  3. Bisping's cutting to MW afterwards. He and everybody else knows that he wouldn't stand a chance in the LHW division. I think people are counting their chickens with Bisping a little early, though. In the two fights we've seen him in he's made enough mistakes that a veteran worth their salt would kill him. It's already been established that he can get rocked and taken down fairly easily so hopefully he's worked on the areas that need improving.
  4. Weird, given that in the future we could/will see....... - A Canadian WW Champ - A Canadian LW Champ - Brazillian LHW Champ - Brazillian MW Champ - Bellarussian HW Champ For a company that wants to build up domestic fighters they sure love to have foreigners as challengers.
  5. And the downward spiral of X3 continues. Proof positive that word-of-mouth is still one of the biggest factors in box office dollars.
  6. They're building up Senshi as the guy who could take out Joe so I don't think it'll be a slaughtering. In fact, I'll go as far as to say that he'll be the one to end Joe's streak.
  7. It's all falling apart.
  8. I won't spoil the PPV but after tonight you'll most likely be seeing Joe take on Low-Ki for the X-Division title and they've been building Ki up as a guy to beat Joe for the title. I'm pretty sure they'll want to keep Joe as far as possible from Nash but I get where you're coming from with it being silly in terms of how Nash has positioned himself.
  9. I proudly rocked that album cover as a Live t-shirt back in grade six.
  10. Joe/Steiner was one of the most anticlimactic finishes in a long time. Almost killed the match.
  11. Ratings and being a draw are two different things and to be quite honest, Danny Basham could've taken the title off of Cena and everybody still would've tuned in to see him. It wasn't about Edge, it was about seeing somebody not named John Cena as champ. The Flair match did well because people wanted to see a spotfest. Still isn't really proof that Edge is a draw.
  12. If you saw the TNA show tonight then you know what many already know: They are the team. Shelley telling Nash backstage that he almost got knifed and saw dudes pull out their gats.......brilliant.
  13. 1. With all of the build toward the X-Division angle, will Nash put over more than he will squash. I'm not talking about quantity of people, either, just the one or two guys he puts over in the end. Such as, squashing Sabin this Sunday is fine for the angle, but what's the big picture? Who exactly will he be putting over? 2. Will this angle actually benefit Shelley more than it will Nash. If not, it's just Nash putting himself over and giving his remaining heat to Shelley. Considering that Alex was already being built up with the Sting angle, he isn't that far away from success - TNA just simply forgot about him for a while. I will say that I'm enjoying the angle from a fan's standpoint. But if you want to analyze it, there's an argument to be made. If you want to make direct comparisons from recent months, Batista made everyone care about MNM for a few weeks until the writers decided they had to make a useless angle out of it. After months of bungling his push, everyone and their mother is putting over Lashley on his way up the card. Edge is likely a bigger draw than anyone on the TNA roster, and all it took was interaction with guys like Cena, Foley. and Flair to get him over. You may need to clarify the last sentence, because I don't think you want to emphasize that Nash is getting himself over for his benefit and that's a good thing. You were doing alright for yourself until you said that Edge is a draw. That's just goofy.
  14. $$$$$$$$$$$$$
  15. The pairing of Kevin Nash and Alex Shelley in TNA is a better use of stars then WWE, not to mention being better handled then any angle WWE has done in a while. The skits are 10X funnier then anything Vince and Co. has done in an age. The give-and-take is equal and both guys are getting over, something WWE would never be able to pull off with a "Main Event" (and I use that term loosely for Nash) big-man star and a midcarder. I'm curious to hear what people can dig up to put against this.
  16. Interesting note: In this months issue of Grappling there's an article with Brandon Vera where they ask him about TUF 2. The UFC initially approached him about joining the show and he turned them down because he didn't like the contract. Most people would think that to be a mistake but the HW's in TUF 2 were so shite that they ended up asking Vera back for UFN.
  17. This Dude hasn't seen enough Riley fights seemingly.
  18. Rodrigo Nog wins the "Has taken the most 'Should've been a KO' shots" award.
  19. Your Gomi hatred knows no bounds, Tong.
  20. Add Luiz Azeredo to the list. Him fighting Gomi or Hansen for the rest of his career would make me a happy camper.
  21. You give no examples. Thread open.
  22. Any Torontonians or those visiting the city should make the effort to visit the Beer Bistro on Front Street. They have a ridiculously large selection of taps and something around 100 + bottles. Also, they make the best ketchup you'll ever have in your life. Smoked tomatoes = delicious catsup.
  23. We all know who can throw them. Now it's time to discuss who's the best at making them look brutal. Curry nominates: Caol Uno (vs Hansen, Penn and Franca) Justin Eilers (vs Buentello, Vera and Arlovski. Hell, he gets bonuns points on the Arlovski deadenning because he started it.) Whatcha got?
