  1. ^ Payton and Malone signed for less money than what they got from their respective teams. Jordan took the mininum salary with Wizards.
  2. Prop 54 is a nice idea in a sense, but I think don't think people ready for that type of change. Illegal immagrants is probably is the reason why people were against prop 54.
  3. Well, the black QB stereotype was still running rampant back then. I think it is safe to say that we are at the point where QB's are guaged on perfomance and wins and losses before they call you good or a bust and not on race...unless you are Jake Plummer...you can absolutley suck ass and still get called a good QB. Jake Plummer trancends race. Yeah, I remember this too. When Black QB's were getting criticized for scrambling and they considered as being selfish. Randall Cunningham ended up getting blackballed for 2 years because of his playmaking ability. Then Steve Young started Scrambling then it was viewed as acceptable and now every coach wants a Playmaking QB instead of a Pocket Passer, its funny how that works.
  4. Isiah didn't make dream probably because of the Bird comment, and Jordan made sure that he wasn't on the team. Well, Larry got his revenge anyway by firing Thomas so you can say they're even. Please don't even Barkley into this neither.
  5. Why won't the Clips play Wang? He has nice game from what I've seen of him. Isn't Ely starting Center now?
  6. ^ Cochran was pushing for Black coaches to get a chance to be interviewed, NOT hired. Thats why Lions got fined because they didn't interview a black coach and that was because Steve Murrucci (sp?) was already a shoe in as coach.
  7. ^ I don't remember him making a statement about it. Sounds like someone's reaching, Like *insert insecure conservative Groups* do.
  8. Brad Johnson has a historically great defense that will be a thing that history will talk about. Mcnabb doesn't. And once again, no body took RUsh to task about the minority coach hiring thing at all. No one would take him to task about calling Donavan overrated. That isn't even a issue. The media cannot attempt to claim that somebody like Akili Smith is great --- so they don't try. There is only so far that they can go. But the moment they find an above-average QB --- like Donovan --- and he has a defense that makes his teams win --- as it did in Philly --- they will all but root him on. They gave him considerably more praise than they did Johnson, and both QB's were easily replacable. The press wanted a white QB to win because a) they are laden with white guilt and b) Jesse Jackson et al have been raising hell about the "lack of black QB's" for years now (as it stands now, they are OVERREPRESENTED as a percentage of the population). I will say, again, Brad Johnson does not get ANY NEAR as much praise, and his numbers are VERY comparable. Philly's "D" was as good as Tampa Bay's has been the past 2 years. -=Mike Brad Johnson gets press coverage as much McNabb, But, Johnson's past teams haven't won neither, and he still got attention for his big numbers when he played for Minnesota and Washington. How can the media ignore Johnson when he threw 4000 yards in a season? When was Jesse Jackson complaining about the lack of black QB's?
  9. Think the show was garbage. Dave was a non pussy getting nerd, thats why he was so into the game more than anybody else. Charla was just a cold prude. Dave is dumb for letting Charla stay in beginning after she dissed him in front of everbody with the "I don't like you touching me" shit.
  10. OK, I will: 99 Phi: Rush att 47, yards 313, avg 6.7, TD 0 00 Phi: Rush att 86, yards 629, avg 7.3, TD 6 01 Phi: Rush att 82, yards 482, avg 5.9, TD 2 02 Phi: Rush att 63, yards 460, avg 7.3, TD 6 03 Phi: Rush att 19, yards 156, avg 8.2, TD 0 Yeah, he gets press because he's black and not a good talented QB.
  11. I looked up McNabb's stats he has 77 career QB Rating which isn't bad at all. 99 Phi: G 12, QB Rating 60.1, comp pct 49.1, pass yards 948, TD's 8, and Ints 7. 00 Phi: G 16, QB Rating 77.8, Comp pct 58, pass yards 3365, TD's 21, and ints 13 01 Phi: G 16, QB Rating 84.3 Comp pct 57.8, Pass yards 3233, 25 TD's, and 12 ints 02 Phi: G 10, Qb Rating 86.0, Comp pct 58.4, Pass yards 2289, TD's 17, and int's 6 03 Phi: G 3, QB Rating 51.1, comp pct 49.5, pass yards 506, TD's 0 and Int's 3 Yea, I guess McNabb doesn't deserve any press because the way he put up numbers in the past 3 seasons are awful and carrying his team to the NFC Championship game 2 twice in a row doesn't mean nothing neither.
  12. Actually, I think McNabb is a better QB than Dilfer and Brady. The Eagles D did contribute to their success but McNabb should get some credit as well, I mean he did throw 4 TD's in one gam despite playing with a broken leg last year. Rush should have said McNabb was overrated, and leave it at that. I haven't heard McNabb was considered a great QB neither. I always hear he's a good QB.
  13. Im about to turn the Tables on this: Peyton Manning: Gets alot media hype as the next great QB, has many INT's as TD's and his teams only get to the playoffs hasn't won a first round game yet. Drew Bledsoe- Gets alot of hype as well, have gotten to the Superbowl once and was hurt the year that they did won a superbowl when Brady took over. Jake Plummer: Was billed as the Next Montana, has alot of comeback victories. Led his team to one playoff appearance while in Zona, and rest of those years on bad teams.
  14. Well, In Vick's case thats because no one has seen a player of his stature or ability. White QB's get the same amount attention when doing well as a black QB. Kurt Warner won the Superbowl it was considered the "Heartwarming story of the year" the made or in talks of making a tv movie based on his story. Tom Brady led his team to the superbowl it was"He was a backup that came in relief to led the Pats to the SB." Jake Plummer aka "the next Montana" was getting alot of praise when he first came into the league and his Zona teams didn't go nowhere. No matter if your a Black or White QB that is on a winning team or a exciting player they'll get attention.
  15. Its funny because McNabb led his team to NFC Championship game two year in a row. Black and White QB's get praised when their team is winning and get criticize if their teams losing, Like FOX blasted Gannon last week for his tirade on Monday night Football. I think Rush is spouting off at mouth as usual because if the NFL wanted blacks really successed every team would be starting a black QB no matter how bad he is, I don't hear or see features on Tony Banks, Akili Smith, Jeff Blake, and Kordell Stewart these days. Unless their teams are winning.
  16. I don't hear anybody complaining about the multiple actors that have played "James Bond" or "Batman" or anything. I also could say Duncan's role as the "Kingpin" could be borderline racist since he was big black intimidating criminal hustler, but me and other black people that I know don't have a problem with it.
  17. Like Rip said Liz Taylor and another white actress(ABC movie) played Cleopatra and no one said anything about that. I wouldn't mind to see a "White" Spawn or "white" Blade maybe because I don't follow comic books.
  18. Hell, Samuel L Jackson always say in his interviews that his roles were made for white actors, and I don't hear no one complaining about it.
  19. Yea, Amish people always love to boycott. They didn't portray us right their beard is to short blah blah blah. Oh yea, im not feeling the fur face mask and the costume should be a full body.

  21. I was reading on another site on the whole meaning of Dre's side which is pretty deep and I now understand whole point of it is that the Love/Women theme is just his metaphor meaning for his deep affection for his music. As far lack of chemistry thing I figured that atleast they would appear on each others albums more often then they did. Love Below is good, but I hope that Dre doesn't quit rapping like he always saying in his interviews.
  22. I just bought the album this weekend, at first I wasn't sure about dre's side I didn't think I was going to like it. But, I end up liking a lil bit especially "She Lives in my Lap," "Spread," and "Day and the life of Andre Benjamin" but I liked Big Boi side better. I just hope Dre goes back to rapping because I still pefer him rapping than singing. Overall, I think this album suffered from a lack of chemistry between the two that im use to hearing, its an ok album might be my least favorite Outkast album right now.

Yea, R. Kelly has been all over the place right now, especially writting songs and producing for other R&B singers albums, and doing his own projects. I heard he's got alot of unreleased material in a vault at his studio.
