Oiler's trade a 1st rounder and a conditional pick for Dwayne Roloson. Overall i'm pretty happy with the deal. Roloson is only 6-17 but has a 3.00 gaa and a .910 save percentage. People are slamming the deal on hfboards and the comment section of tsn.ca but to me it's solid. The Oilers gave up a first rounder in a weak draft that they won't have a top 10 pick in and didn't touch anyone on the main roster. I'm confident Roloson will sign in the offseason for another year or 2.

As many casual fans in the nhl already know, Edmonton needs a #1 goalie. However, other casual fans may not know the upcoming greatness of Ales Hemsky. Kevin Lowe needs to sign this guy to a long term contract andI really don't care what he gives up to have this happen. Ales is greatness waiting to happen. Jagr has already professed his love for the guy and i'd hate to see him wind up in New York.

I've only been in one fight in my life and it was pretty interesting. This jockish guy that nobody really liked thought I was spreading rumours about him sleeping with the 'fat retard sped chick in grade 11". I was sitting in first period Biology class and I was getting freaked out. I'm 5'7, 130 at the time and this guy is probably 4 inches taller than me and 35 pounds heavier. Having never been in a fight before and realizing the size difference I was getting pretty scared. I knew he was going to come after me and I was trying my hardest to avoid gym class next period. Want to know the best part? This kid is epileptic. So it comes to the showdown where he contronts me in the change room and gets in my face. I did the whole "Whatever you say dude" thing and tried to walk away. He smashed my head directly in the wall and it was on. Having completely blacked out, I somehow managed to take a really hard punch in the face and start pulling his shirt over his head while landing a few shots. Realizing he was epileptic I held off and tried to walk away. Seconds later he was after me in the hallway again and I started getting a few more shots in. Finally my buddy Rob, who was a really popular guy in the highschool, sensing that I could have really seriously done some permanent damage to the guys help, rushed in and whisked me away. He ended up getting 5 days for instigating the fight and I got 1. The best part was that I was seen as a hero as it was my first fight and the size difference.

Let's Create Terrible Gimmicks for WWE!
Fartsauce replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in The WWE Folder
Chris Benoit goes on a huge losing streak. As each week passes by, he gets angrier and angrier. After a loss to Simon Dean, Benoit is seen walking backstage saying that he has to go away for awhile and change some things. Several weeks later 2 midcard faces are having some kind of conversation when they hear bells. They turn around and see Chris Benoit driving an ice-cream bike. Benoit has the full suit and everything. Benoit offers them a few ice cream bars but they refuse. As they go to walk away Benoit attacks both of them viciously...He reaches into his cart and smashes them with the ice cream and applying the crossface. This goes on for several weeks before WWE typically ends the thing and doesn't mention it again. -
Hughson would be my favourite if he wasn't so goddamn biased towards the Canucks. Watch the late HNIC game if it doesn't involve Vancouver and listen to how bored he and Millen sound.

MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY. One of the greatest calls ever.

hfboards.com is probably the best bet, but they do have server issues sometimes. It's a HUGE online community and Dogbert recommended me to it. I love that place. HF is good but you have to watch out for some of the posters there. I see about 20309320409324 trade proposal threads that make absolutely no sense. On the issue of the new jerseys, Bob McKenzie had this to say in his latest column.

Someone earlier this evening sent me a link to a site where this guy allegedly has tourettes and theres a bunch of videos of him. Personally, I think it's fake but it's still hilarious nonetheless. Check out the video called "interview2". I nearly pissed myself watching over and over. Again, if you are offended I suggest not watching. http://www.tourettesguy.com/videos.htm

Tsn.ca said that its only part of a big trade so I wonder who is going back to St.louis. Carolina is a little more dangerous now but they have to take on his huge 5.7 million contract.
-
So as we are pretty much 50 games in (some teams less, others more) What has been the story of the year so far? Is it Mario's retirement, Ovechkin's dominance, the suprising play of the Carolina Hurricanes, Jiri Fischer's heart stopping, the bad play of the Leafs, Jagr's return to glory, the new wide open nhl. A lot has happened this year.

Apparently the goalie rumours are starting back up again in Edmonton. Bob Mckenzie apparently was on some Ottawa radio show today and stated that Kevin Lowe was in talks to acquire Marty Biron. I could live with Biron, anything is better than what we have in net right now. As for the trades today, I wasn't overly excited about Tarnstrom or Spacek but was pleasantly suprised when both of them came over. I think Tarnstrom can be effective with limited minutes (put him mainly on the powerplay) As far as Spacek, I haven't seen him play many times but apparently can bring the offense. Either way, Cory Cross is gone and Ulanov is pretty much in the pressbox. Oilers improved today.

This might be a little off topic but mushroom soup is amazing when poured on stuff like boneless chicken, steak, pork chops.

According to rumours in both Edmonton and New York...unbelievable trade rumour going around that would see Theodore to the Oilers for Schremp, Dvorak, Conklin, and possibly one other player. Not sure who the source was in New York but the guy who is talking about this on the radio station in Edmonton knew about the Peca deal the morning it happened and knew the players that would be dealt for Pronger. To me this makes absolutely no sense for Montreal but i've seen stranger things happen. I have to go to work now till 12, hopefully when I get back something happened. I doubt it though.
-
Thank God the Oilers dont play the Eastern Conference anymore.
-
Ovechkin is easily going to win the Calder and may have a semi-legit shot at the Rocket Richard trophy. That goal has absolutely gotta be seen to be believed. At this point I rank it up there with Spezza's goal earlier in the year.

I absolutely hate this fucking war by Sega and EA. MVP 05 and NFL 2K5 were my 2 favourite games of all-time and they cant have sequels cause both companies gobbled up the rights respectively on each other.

Crosby is probably already bitching and moaning about Therrien.

I'm screwed when I go to work later in the morning. I've already been razzed by my buddies. Telqvist stood on his fucking head. Despite my hate for the Leafs, i'm a fan of his. P.S- Dogbert: As an Oilers fan i'm not really supposed to agree with you on many things, but the Jim Hughson homerism is fucking brutal. I remember a few weeks back when the Oilers beat the Canucks in overtime Hughson couldn't stop talking about the Canucks and how PECA hauled the Canucks player to the ice. Even Millen was all over the Oil. As much as I hate Harry Neale and Bob Cole, Hughson and Millen are much much worse so I understand where you are coming from.
-
I'm an Edmonton fan in Ontario. The Oilers HAVE to win this hockey game tonight or I won't hear the end of it from all my buddies. I ask the Leafs to do me one favour by beating Calgary and they can't even do that. No wonder I hate them so much.

November was a pretty crazy month with Jiri Fischer having a seizure, The Senators remaining hot and Joe Thornton being traded to San Jose. What will happen this month? As for tonight, 9 games are on the schedule that features Ed 'Give me a drink' Belfour trying to become the 2nd winningist goalie of all-time as the leafs take on the Thrashers, Red Wings battling the Flames in Alberta and Vancouver taking on my Oilers. Here are some stats as we head into December. If the playoffs were to start today in the East 1) Ottawa 8) Tampa 2) New York Rangers 7) Toronto 3) Carolina 6) Buffalo 4) Philly 5) Montreal If the playoffs were to start today in the West 1) Detroit 8) Edmonton 2) Vancouver 7) Calgary 3) Dallas 6) Colorado 4) Los Angeles 5) Nashville Points Spezza 41 Alfredsson 40 Jagr 39 Forsberg 39 Heatley 38 Goals Gagne 23 Jagr 21 Alfredsson 20. Is anyone even still playing fantasy hockey? I seem to update my lineups everyday and still can't get past 7th. It would be nice if i could get a goalie.
