Buffalo's GM said in the press conference.."As long as we are alive, they can expect us to present an offer sheet if its in our best interest"
He's clearly pissed off right now. Thank god Hemsky is signed for the next 5 years.
I'm reading a lot of rumours that the Oilers pulled this trade off today so they could make an offer sheet to an RFA (apparently either Vanek or Parise) It's just not going to work because the Devils and Sabres have already lost players and they would easily match anything Lowe would present to them. I've completely lost any faith I ever had in Kevin Lowe.
Little recap so far...
- Alvarez was good friends with Benoit. Said that Benoit would complain to him about the state of developmental and the muscleheads coming through.
- Drug usage apparently picked up considerably the last few months. Hardly any breaking news.
- Said Benoit's death on the pully was a slow torturish death, and it wasn't instant.
- Bryan and Dave seem to be refuting each others statements. A little uncomfortable so far. Phone calls to come shortly.
This may have already been discussed but you have to wonder...If there was steroids found in Benoit's body, how bad the PR disaster is going to be for Vince. Unless i'm forgetting something, nobody in baseball or any other sport linked to steroids went on and killed their family. WWE could have a nightmare on their hands from the feds.

not sure how accurate that is but the site is claiming that the arena show has been cancelled.
Rick Fuller did it. Apparently Rick is really distraught over not getting signed by Vince during the WCW purchase. Rick has been orchestrating this for several years. Vince also did interfere during his match in Chaotic wrestling.
If the Hawks get unmotivated Sergei Samsonov they lose this easily. If they get motivated Sergei Samsonov, it could be a steal. Especially with Havlat on the other wing.
If that's the same article I was reading earlier, he mentions that Wade Redden wouldn't mind going to Alberta. Kevin Lowe needs to make it happen, even if he is over 6 million a year.
I don't get this from a kayfabe perspective. Why would Edge, who is the champion, want his brand to get a big draft pick? In theory, getting the draft pick means a huge superstar gets picked, adding more competition to his title.
