I'm reading a lot of rumours that the Oilers pulled this trade off today so they could make an offer sheet to an RFA (apparently either Vanek or Parise) It's just not going to work because the Devils and Sabres have already lost players and they would easily match anything Lowe would present to them. I've completely lost any faith I ever had in Kevin Lowe.

This may have already been discussed but you have to wonder...If there was steroids found in Benoit's body, how bad the PR disaster is going to be for Vince. I don't get this from a kayfabe perspective. Why would Edge, who is the champion, want his brand to get a big draft pick? In theory, getting the draft pick means a huge superstar gets picked, adding more competition to his title.
