  1. No Mercy is quite easily the worst promoted pay-per-view of the Attitude-era or beyond, and I'm not even going into the WWE creative side of the problem.
  2. Why in the blue hell would the Knicks trade Houston? He's an expiring contract. Unless they're getting another expiring contract, which is impossible for another team to do given the value of Houston, Isiah is using Houston and Penny to get where he wants cap-wise.
  3. "Back in little league, they used to put the good players at shortstop. That's where I used to play. But as you get older, they move the better defensive players to the outfield." - Ken Griffey Jr. on Alex Rodriguez HUZZAH~! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have always heard that the core players were pitchers, catchers, shortstops and center-fielders. When they reached the minors, the catchers and shortstops with less defensive skill would convert to the corners. Some would even stay at their natural position as far as the majors, then be asked to switch (Biggio, Delgado).
  4. THURSDAY Georgia Tech FRIDAY Connecticut SATURDAY Indiana Michigan (if they lose, god help me.) Texas Air Force Oklahoma State TCU Georgia Texas Tech (it's going to be close) Louisville Purdue Utah Texas A&M UCLA Penn State 56/88
  5. That'd be the worst fan in the history of the universe.
  6. Good enough for me.
  7. For this series only, Barron is allowed to bring back the term "Resucksma". If we get swept, I'm changing my username.
  8. Point taken. Still, they can counter that with a hot angle to start off the show, which is what they'll probably do with Teddy Long showing up to RAW again. Coming off of that, the second segment can introduce the fans to Shelton or the tag champions. Everyone else worth a damn was featured tonight.
  9. ...and another one on Thome
  10. I decided to implement my Insider account and find a local article on the Phillies and their possible offseason plans.
  11. Beside the fact that it sounded as if DA was on location next to a monsoon, the show was excellent. The format you used for this week's shows were perfect. The only complaint I had of the original shows were the monotonous feel with a single host, but that is obviously cleared up now. Good work, all three of you.
  12. Fun fact: The Braves became the first team since the 1989 San Franciscio Giants to win their division despite finishing last in the league in strikeouts. Man, I don't see us losing Furcal just yet.
  13. The specific confrontation with Austin and Linda went nearly SIX minutes from theme music to stunner.
  14. Anyone else screwed by their PVR/DVR/Tivo/Capture Card?
  15. Damn. NYTimes article on the trade with more specifics... ...and according to ESPN Radio, Davis will be released by the Knicks, then re-signed by the Bulls.
  16. Oh, c'mon!
  17. The Tiger can opt out of the Magglio contract if they wish; it had a clause where they got the option after the first year if he didn't play more than 120 games. So, one contract out the window.
  18. In recent news, if Jimmy Rollins make his streak to 57 games, it will not be recognized by Major League Baseball. Agree or disagree?
  19. Yes. Yes it is...
  20. Ming at #47, Bosh at #50 and (especially) Ginobili at #71 are steals. With the players you do have, I'd try to move Allen or Q while their value is up. Garnett - PTS, REBS, FG%, FT%, ASSTS, BLKS Arenas - PTS, STLS, FT%, ASSTS Allen - PTS, 3PM, FT% Bosh - PTS, REBS, BLKS, FG%, FT% Ming - PTS, REBS, FG%, FT% Ginobili - 8-cat. As you can see, Allen is very exependable with Q on the roster. Your frontcourt's FT% is good enough that you're wasting Allen and his FT% - a sexy stat that will draw any possible suitors to him. As for the Williams/Livingston/Telfair situation, I'd try to trim the fat off of your team and pick up Telfair. He could be a monster cat guy with the opportunities he's about to receive.
  21. Do we really need that many chants?
  22. I outright refuse to see even a minute of Yankees/Astros.
  23. Moved... Atlanta over Houston in 4 (Houston without Beltran = victory) St. Louis over San Diego in 3 Boston over Chicago in 5 New York over Anaheim in 4
  24. Since the other Braves fans on this board gave up on them... Atlanta over Houston in 4 (Houston without Beltran = victory) St. Louis over San Diego in 3 Boston over Chicago in 5 New York over Anaheim in 4
  25. Andre Iguodala.
