It's Brantley. LOL @ the fan at Fenway either heckling or supporting Catalanotto. No cycle for Frank tonight, just so you know.

How are they underachievers? The starting positions have glaring holes that they failed to address over the offseason. There isn't much talent out on the market, so you've got to bring your farm system up or move the expendable talent, which starts with Ryan Howard and Billy Wagner. Pat Burell is finally playing into his potential, but Abreu had an quiet second half so it offset each other. How everyone quickly forgets that Abreu has had to carry the team on his back for what is now seven seasons, all while averaging a .950 OPS. Fuck UTSHU if he believes that's he a stat monkey - he's the reason that they're not a joke in the NL East, being passed by the Mets, Marlins and Expos. Their bench is strong enough to give a spark in the later innings - they're all young, improving talent anyway, so you let those players mature. Using one example, Shane Victorino has surprised everyone with his development over spring training and the current season. Al could probably fill you in on the rest of the talent down in AA and AAA. If your entire team doesn't click at the same time, then you won't win the division. Downplaying the Braves' achievements by saying that everyone else "underachieved" is a cop-out. They're consistently the best-managed organization in the league.

I'll take more requests - all requests will be posted this afternoon.

Bobby Abreu says... "We don't want you either".

In my opinion, the best example of a top-tier character is to ask yourself "if he won the world championship tomorrow, would you buy it?" On the Smackdown side, I see Eddie, Benoit, Taker, Orton and Layfield (who is there simply being exposed to the title scene so much). We all seem to forget that the average fan will buy a character if he's ever held the top title...as long as the promotion mentions it.

Benoit v. Christian v. Booker v. Jordan confirmed.

Actually, it's from somewhere in early 2000, because it's from an interview used for the Wrestlemania 2000 two-disc. The only visual proof is have is the leather jacket that Helmsley is wearing, which he stopped wearing before the quad injury. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HHH continued to wear the jean/leather jacket until he went back to wearing all the dressy stuff in mid-2002. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's wearing the leather jacket from the McMahon-Helmsley era, not the jean jacket from when he returned from injury. His facial features also support this (barely any facial hair, lack of change in structure due to use of HGH). ----------- More from the Warrior post.... -
I'll celebrate if and when we win the pennant...scratch that...division championships.

Even if they did, the hype for the main event and everything still should have been strong enough to still make people tune in and stay tuned in. The casual fan would be too fickle to be able to not tune in. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The build to the main event sucked. Both opening hours were interviews. The opening segment, as well as every other segment in the show was building to next week's rating. Yeah, they'll take the blame for the rating, but they're not even going to blink at it. 3.2 is excusable for what was basically a two-hour commercial.

Aside from the comments toward Drozdov and Grisham, I have no problem with what he said. Hell, I found it absolutely hilarious and justifiable for how Vince treated their respective DVD's. -
Raw will not air on February 13, 2006 due to the Westminster Dog Show; it will be shown Wednesday, February 15. Raw will not air August 28, 2006 due to the US Open; it will not be rescheduled. Raw will not air September 4, 2006 due to the US Open; it will be shown Friday, September 8.

But there's a strong possibility that NBC will take over programming on the pre-emption weeks anyway.

It looks as if the round will be wading through the sometimes-injured superstars. I passed on a few to select Z, who is sadly the healthiest of them all.

(to post below) (goes back to draft room)

I'm here for the subsequent picks after. Looks like 9K, 909 and Roy are here, so we can at least get 6-7 picks out of the way.

"Firefox prevented this site from opening 4 popup windows". Yeah, screw you PWI.

I had always assumed that it was because of his receding hairline, which allowed the WWE to make an angle taking advantage of it (ala Angle).

If there's a squash match, Joe should get it. Abyss can accomplish the same effect interfering in the Hardy/Rhyno match, which also segues into introducing Sabu to the ECW and WCW fans who remember him.

What about The Rock? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That he's a minority is the point. ------ On-topic question: is Ortiz willing to train? Maybe it's me, but I could see a lot of potential with him at or near the top as Shamrock did. He doesn't have the cross-over appeal that Ken has, but he's still a buzzworthy name that could transition the belt to someone that can carry the company.

That's why I mentioned Hall, Nash and Hogan. He has faith in them to resurrect a money angle, despite the fact that he hates all three. At that time, all three had some sort of pull in the company even though they were working for the competition for over half a decade. An invasion led by the nWo succeeds if Hall is kept out of the ring, and Nash is prepared to work. The Invasion didn't need the ECW fans to succeed. Anyway, like I said, the Invasion would've been done correctly if ECW is kept on the backburner and only hinted at, keeping the ECW fans they do have tuning in interested in seeing what Van Dam, Dreamer or Tazz will do next.

I think we should lay ground rules on the spoilers and how they're discussed in this thread (first two Impacts will be taped tomorrow night). On a side note, they better feature Joe in the debut show. Not that I'll tune out if they don't, but it's for the good of the company for the road they're about to embark on.
