  1. Maybe Bobby just wanted easier access to Traci? It's a fucking midcard act, why the big uproar about this?

Historically speaking, if Indy lucks out and avoids playing teams outside the AFC West in the playoffs, they should make it into the superbowl. I think it's time for Peyton to choke on a grander stage anyways, enough of these AFC Title game collapses.
  3. What pisses me off is that Traci is a fairly good wrestler and she's stuck being a mid-card manager act. I wish she were in WWE since she'd help the wrestling side of things and she fits the WWE look anyways.

How is it that Plummer manages to walk into bad teams and plays decently enough (2 INTS for him doesn't seem like a bad game, to me) to keep his job for at least another week? Why don't they just go ahead and cut him, so they can start the Cutler era and Plummer can go to Dallas like we all know he will this off-season anyways.
  5. I took a huge brainfart in picking Cleveland but I lucked out with ATL punching in my victory with their OT win.

Agreed. They couldn't get Daniel Stern or Dana Carvey instead?

Yes. I forget who's in 3rd, but it's usually someone you wouldn't expect. I thought it was Ron Jaworski(or however you spell it)

I know that he's 2nd for active streaks but I'm not sure if he passed the all-time 2nd place but he will, if he hasn't already. This is for QB's only, as I believe other position players have gone longer then Manning and I believe Favre.

Question, throughout his carrer, has Peyton Manning suffered any type of injury? He's been playing for what, 7-8 years (maybe more?) and I can't recall any serious injury that put him in jeopardy of missing a game. Favre has always been banged up but It seems as if Peyton never gets so much as a bruise.

TB isn't as bad as that record indicates, they did make the playoffs last year, so it was just a QB change they needed and its working for them right now. Hey, whichever network is carrying the PIT/ATL game, instead of making me watch the most boring pair of teams in the NFL (Denver/Cleveland) or a Manning blowout for the entire duration, give me the ending of that game.

Awesome how last week TB wins after Cincinnati MISSES a 62 yarder and this week, WINS a game with a 62 yarder

While Jacksonville is blowing an gimmie win and in the process eliminating survivor players across the nation, Detroit Miami and SD are approaching impressive comebacks. I want to see this ATL/PIT game, sounds crazy good.

It took 57 minutes but Cincinnati finally grabbed one of Delhomme's off-target passes and got it at the perfect time.

    Fuck Jacksonville.

    NFL Week 7

Every week, aside from San Diego's performence last week has given me nightmares in the pick-ems and JAX continues that trend. The more I watch Chad Johnson, the more I get the feeling that he is five or six more missed passes away from kicking Palmer's injured leg.
  16. Who is booking OVW right now? After a long hiatus, I'm finally getting it on the local network again and it has completely gone down the drain. I followed it via DVD during the Heyman period and it was fantastic. There's very few, if any talent in OVW that I can realistically see working out in WWE. Just an entirely boring and horrible promotion with garbage gimmicks that are so bad, it would seem that they were uprooted from Vince Russo's rejection pile.
  17. I win (I think) by nailing the tiebreaker on the money.
  18. Aside from their actions earlier this year, WWE tends to want Edge to look strong and that's why he's been so effective as the top overall heel in the entire company. Considering they have held off on doing Edge/HHH in a singles program for so long, I'd have to imagine that Triple H, knowing that he can't turn heel again at the moment and I have to figure that he knows Edge is the money program right now as opposed to Cena, which wouldn't be as hot a program. Orton seems suited to be the obligatory job boy for this anyways and I think HHH would even take a pin at some point from Edge, knowing he'll get it back at WM.
  19. As far as "money" matches for Smackdown at WM is concerned, I don't think that is much concern right as the draw will be expected from the name brand and the RAW ME program. Is Batista/Lashley that match? Not to me but some seem to think that Lashley is ready for that spot, which is still questionable in my mind to determine if Lashley is ready to lead that brand as the number #1 babyface. WWE didn't think highly enough of Lashley to have confidence to main event a B show PPV, but to expect him to be a ME presence for Mania is slightly offbase but they do have six months to get the machine rolling. Batista does need a heel turn, not because his popularity is waning but because he always been more suited in that role anyways except for the Triple H series, which was the best Batista ever looked. While Smackdown is the strongest show of the three WWE brands, it still lacks a signature star beyond Batista and Mysterio compared to Raw and since ECW still relies on using SD/Raw for its show alongside two other established regulars in TBS and RVD, ECW doesn't look as weak in starpower. Logically, SD could easily improve someone like Ken Kennedy's standing with a big push but they don't appear to have that initiative just yet. It won't happen but Kennedy getting a decisive victory over Undertaker would greatly propel Kennedy. Unlike Orton, it would seem Kennedy is more reliable. That being said, I'm more worried WWE will go with Batista/Orton for the SD program. They could also jump the gun and go with Batista/Cena with Edge/HHH going against (which should be the RAW ME feud for WM anyways) and try to load it with big matches to compenstate for the lack of a major name draw aside from John Cena.
  20. I'll take Kevin Federline being a thorn in Cena's side leading up to Cyber Sunday. It gives WWE some media attention that's actually positive (who could hate on WWE for beating up Federline over and over again) and Federline wasn't bad with his promo and took a decent, if not good bump when that is something that a handful of WWE talents seem to struggle with. The idea should be that it gets Nitro over and that Cena needs an brief feud with someone, while Edge/Orton Vs DX is the main program for Raw. The only other option was Umaga. Federline being the Pete Rose to Cena's Kane, would be amusing.
  21. If anything, they should just put the CW title on Hardy and do a program with Matt over the title(since Chavo needs a popular baby to get any heat). It's not as if Chavo could really be taken seriously with the US title anyways but I fear they will do Chavo/Benoit just for the purpose of milking the Eddie cow. Doing Rey/Chavo again at WM is a waste because the match is completely overkill and even a 6 month lay-off will not help. The best option for Rey, if they want him to be in a semi-high profile match that might get interest from the fans is Shawn (Shawn doesn't have many options as well, aside from working with a younger worker like Nitro but I think WWE would see more with Rey/Shawn)
  22. St. Louis, with a moderate sized national fanbase and storied franchise is going to draw more along with Detroit (which has a fairly likable squad and has that old coach charm) then a game between Chicago's bastard stepchild that the city of Chicago never cared enough about aside from a couple weeks last october and Houston, a franchise with zero national appeal and unlikable players. Last year's game had one name star and that player appeared once (Clemens). This edition gets it's biggest star attraction for the entire duration and has more attractive set of teams. Granted this game isn't going to get Boston/St. Louis numbers but let's not act like it's going to drop below last year's set. You'd think by now people will stop going "sweep" when Detroit beat NY and St. Louis beat NY despite everyone thinking it would be one(from the losing team, no less). St. Louis had a crummy regular season but despite a seemingly weak pitching staff, they manage to make things work. I do think Detroit has the advantage but I won't discredit that St. Louis has the ability to steal one, if not two games from the Tigers. Game 1 will be the best chance for them given the wave of momentum and Detroit's potential rust.
  23. What I do like about the show is that it still plays closely to the book (with name changes of course) but it's not like they are using racial tension for the sake of ratings, that's how it went down. The reason the movie eliminated the racial elements was because it was a 2 hour movie. So much happened that it was impossible to utilize the racial tension but a TV has ample space to cover that aspect. I hope that FNL does well on Monday nights, which I think it should with weaker competition.
  24. At least WWE will have a ready made excuse for the next two show's low ratings.
  25. They lost the game due to Coach's questionable playcalls, the town was upset. Players starting bitching, Lyla continues to be denial about the situation. Lyla's father, recruited a major talent that was moved because of Katrina and Coach originally refused to do this but after his wife told him that Matt was complaining, he felt that the new guy was the way to go. Meanwhile, Riggins got all emo and told his chick to leave for good. After the "dramatic" scene with the players running in the rain, Riggins was ordered to walk home after skipping. Jason lashed out at Lyla for being supportive and Lyla found Riggins walking home and after an "emotional" breakdown from both, they kissed. Tonight's episode wasn't as great as the first two but it looks from the previews that the show is really going to get rolling now but I'm worried about how cliche the racial stuff will be played out. How much longer do we have to wait for Coach's daughter and Matt to finally get together?
