Random Thoughts 3-27-08 to 5-28-08
milliondollarchamp replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in The WWE Folder
In Dave Meltzer's most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter he notes that head SmackDown writer Michael Hayes made racist comments towards Presidential hopeful Barack Obama. According to Meltzer Hayes said, “How can we have a President that can’t read the constitution?” and “If that boy gets elected, I’m moving to Canada.” Many within WWE questioned McMahon’s skit mocking Obama after Obama agreed to do Raw, despite knowing there was a risk of backfire if the Hayes story and his comments got out that week. Bobby Lashley spoke out against Hayes last week in an audio interview saying that he personally did not like him. Hayes is currently serving a 60-day suspension for making racist comments towards Mark Henry. According to a WWE spokesperson Hayes will have to undergo further evaluation before he returns to work. -
Why'd they'd have to go and kill Cutthroat Bitch? Even back when I didn't like her, she was awesome. Amazing work by RSL and Anne Dudek, though. The look on CTB's face when she realized she was dying was such excellent work by AD. I've become a fan of Anne Dudek The only other thing i seen her in was How I met your mother and i liked her there too so i hope she gets more work after this. For any BSG fans out there...wouldn't it be awesome if House developed a Head!Amber?

Athena whacked Natalie? What the hell was that? Doesn’t that just totally destroy the whole “alliance” thing? And Natalie didn’t even do anything. She said she wasn’t going to swipe the kid. Could the dying leader be Natalie? From the previews,

the official description for the pilot episode from FOX: Trailer This is one of new shows that i am looking forward to the most its JJ Abrams takes on The X-files and it has a pretty good cast Joshua Jackson, Kirk Acevedo, Lance Reddick & John Noble.

After getting a look at that trailer (anyone else see the quick clip of Buffy Vs. Faith) not only has my own personal excitement for the show shot through the roof, I actually think this show could hit. However my excitement is tempered by knowing that Joss + Time + FOX = Canceled TV show.

What doesn't hold water is what Jack said during Kate's trial, later. He told them that Kate was the one rescuing people from the water and saving people's lives, including his. A 6 month pregnant woman doing that doesn't sound right.

Sawyer and Jack are definitely switching. Sawyer is becoming more of a hero. How are Jack, Arron, Kate, Sun, Sayid and Hurley going to end up together again? They are so far apart from each other right now. MF did some great acting when Jack found out Claire was his sister. You could just see the pain. Great casting on Claire's mom. My theory on Michael/Desmond/Jin: Michael somehow gets everyone off the boat (including Desmond and Jin), and remains on the boat, because he knows that he can't die. At some point in here, Keamy dies and his device sends a signal to the explosives. Once everyone is a clear distance from the boat, the boat explodes with Michael aboard, as he has redeemed himself and the Island allows him to die. How Desmond and Jin get separated from Sun and Aaron? I dunno.

The only new show i am looking forward to is Fringe J.J. Abrams and Joshua Jackson I'm in. I like that House is its lead in and i am expecting it to do well but since its fox I hope they give it a chance before they cancel it. Here's a fun thought, since Fox is remaking the X-Files (Fringe) Harsh Realm (Virtuality) all we need now is a remake of Millennium to come out and it will be like 1996 all over again. -
That was an amazing episode proably the best since Three Stories. My sister kept yelling Amber when mysterious girl kept talking about her necklace and I was like Amber what about Am... Oh we also got to hear Thirteen's last name. was Fred Durst the bartender?

first cast pic from the spin-off. Tristan Wilds (Michael) From the Wire may be the only reason why i would watch this. -

First of all - Tricia Helfer - great model-turned-actress or GREATEST-model-turned-actress? Somehow she has managed to make every Six different and yet remain sympathetic. The Six on the baseship just killed Barolay, and yet by the end of that scene the one I felt sorry for was Six. The Final Five are from the Thirteenth Colony (good old Terra), which would explain their Dylan knowledge, and also their natural life-span rather than a created one (Tigh fought in the Cylon Wars, etc.). This goes right into the "All of this has happened before" bit -- the Final Five are actually the First Five, the progenitors of the current Cylons. Katee did a great job with the crazy/not crazy/crazy/not crazy shifts by Kara.

I just had a crazy thought. A lot of people are speculating that Keamy's increasingly homicidal tendencies are due to the Sickness mentioned by Danielle. What if Desmond gets the same sickness and he is the one to kill Penny... I can see it now. Penny's hiding out in the Adam and Eve cave, Ben manipulates the sick Desmond to go there and carry out Ben's threat to Widmore. Of course Desmond is the only one Penny would trust near her, and bam he kills her, realises what he's done, and kills himself. Voila, his 'n' hers skeletons in the cave.

When Abbadon showed up and we hadn't seen his face yet, I thought it might be time-travely Walt, because of the way he called him "Mr. Locke." I was puzzled as to why Richard freaked when Locke chose the knife as a child, but later when Ben and Locke had that little 'I'm not like you' aside, it struck me that the knife isn't Locke's...it's Ben's. Locke is not the one who will brandish the sword and kill for the sake of the island. The knife belongs to Ben...he is the blunt instrument of death. Locke is a survivor, maybe even a savior.
