USA's shows are killer. I am addicted to Monk, Psych, Burn Notice, and In Plain Sight.
-
Hypothetical?
-
No, but if they are going to institute replay for fair/foul calls, why not show plays at the plate or bang-bang plays, which happen way more often and usually get us ranting more often when it screws our team?
-
I don't see why they couldn't add timing plays or tags to the equation rather easily.
-
Well, I guess it would have to be because my post was made in a sarcastic manner and was making fun of Noah Fentz's bragging about his history with Hawk.
-
My cousin used to sell steroids to Hawk, which means he most likely contributed somewhat to Hawk's early death. Still, you don't see him bragging about it on here.

The Reds might lose Yonder Alonso to Alex Rodriguez. Rodriguez makes more than the Reds, so it might be a good move on Alonso's part. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2008/08/draft-roundup-d.html

Serial pillist claims another. Edit---Should have refreshed before posting. `

That is a golden statement, but I'm sure it's greek to some.

Just saw on gaspricewatch.com that it is $3.31 in Carlisle, PA, right outside Harrisburg.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080806/ap_on_...x_investigation I searched the forum and didn't see this posted anywhere. I figured we would never find out who killed those people.

Your legacy at TSM has yet to be fully-formed. Blaze your own trail, Cheech. Come back.

I figured he was just being clever. Yeah, I know...I just figured he thought it was.

I used to be a lot stronger than I am now. Four years of not working out and 3 1/2 with the girlfriend has me in shit condition. With the new-found life via the new job, I will be back to working out 5-7 days a week, and I am looking forward to it so much (just not as much as Matt Young). In my heyday, my legs were always the strongest, but I was an all-around strong guy. However, my bench press is borderline pathetic, as a combination of very long arms (wingspan of 6'6") and a lack of desire to do a lot of an exercise in which I was already weak. Soooo, how strong am I? 4.

cabbage introduced his brother to us all, but the account had been open for years.

I don't see why either of them would joke about being brothers if it weren't true. Would you?

Eric, I use all energy star products in my home, including the low watt bulbs. I notch the temperature on my central h/a 2 degrees higher when it is warm outside, and 2 degrees cooler when it is colder. I shut off every light not in use and all lights when I am gone. I unplug unused devices until I am ready to use them. I try to not make small, unnecessary trips here and there so I can combine trips when it is feasible. Now that I finally got a better job in town, I will be biking to work on days it is not raining. I do all of this to save money as well as do my part for the environment. It's not like I am rolling down the street in a jacked up SUV with the windows down, blasting the a/c, and hauling excavators behind me for the hell of it as I chop down as many trees as possible. However, I don't feel the need to preach to others on here and banter every day how we need mass transit yesterday, not today. We need a better system. Great. Is it doable everywhere? No. I am in a town of 55,000, and our mass transit sucks. There is no money to build what we need, and no available place to build it. The best we can do is get more buses going, and our current buses are only used by the poor and smelly. You may be okay with inconveniencing yourself for two hours to get where you are going when you could have gotten there in 10 by driving, but I am not going to do that to save three leaves off a tree. If "it's too hard," or "it's too expensive" is not an obstacle for a free-thinker like yourself, then do your part for the environment and come up with these ways it can be done and start mailing it to the cities and towns.

The problem with urban planning is that it neglects rural planning. Rural is as bad, if not worse, as urban area when it comes to convenience within a small area of driving, walking, biking, mass transit, etc. My comments weren't directed as much at you as they were Eric, who has taken an extreme stance toward anything that hurts a tree. It is widely impractical for the nation to stop using vehicles for shipping, work, getting to work, etc. Not everyone lives in a place where they can find their job, kids' school, etc. within a favorable distance. Some of you guys live in big cities or close to big cities where there is a lot more options. While I don't live in a small town, it is short on high-paying jobs. My stance is there is no simple answer, yet Eric-and you to a lesser degree-don't realize that the majority of people out there don't have the option of driving less. I understand you said that planning and developing better mass transit would help. I agree with you. But how will the towns pay for this? How will the rural areas come up with this? What about all of the little unincorporated towns that sit beside each other, and it takes 45 minutes just to get to a Walmart? It's just not practical, so I laugh at those who generalize the answers. Leo, there have been many snarky comments in this thread and this folder. I would venture a guess that you have made some yourself.
-
Man, they should have done that.
-
I've made a total of two posts about it in non-consecutive days. I understand that it is against the philosophy that you have, but I do share the opposite viewpoint of yourself and Eric. You guys have done your fair share of preaching in this thread, would you not agree?
-
Why would anyone drive between those two cities when you can WALK everywhere you need to go?

Jay Bruce might finally be shaking off that loooong slump he was in. He has a 10 game hit streak and raised his average 15 points over that span. He has also has 4 homers and 8 RBI since Junior left.

I just noticed this thread last night. Twizted won by a landslide.

I've never seen Titanic in any shape or form.
