The Happening did much better than what I thought, and Panda did well in its second week against stiff competition. Combined, that made Hulk do lower than what I was expecting.

Bradley would not be hitting in the 9th slot, where most pitchers hit in the NL. The 9th slot in the AL, while a position player and not a pitcher, is typically not a slugger or even a dangerous bat. I get what you are saying, but in my opinion, you still can't say the National League is weaker in batting anymore.
-
I agree with you, al, but too many people are stuck in this "AL is superior in hitting, making it harder on pitchers."
-
Check out the league batting statistics this year. The gap has closed the last two years, and the NL outperforms the AL slightly in the batting categories this year. Totally separate argument, but I would take at least 3 (possibly 5) pitchers in the NL before I would select one from the AL. This isn't a "which league is better?" argument, but don't give me that noise about pitchers in the NL not meaning as much.

What do you mean by "Still, National League." Are you implying that only good players, pitchers, teams, etc. are in the American League?

Happy Birthday to Adam Gilbert.

Fried chicken liver with onions is one of my favorite meals. I like to have some fried potatoes, cole slaw, pinto beans and cornbread with mine. I have no idea how you can hate some of those variations of eggs, Agent. I tried pickled eggs once, and that was enough to not like them forever, but those others range from perfectly acceptable to fucking yummy!

The important thing to note is that my points carry over. It's written down.

Bill Bixby is dead. His cameo was I tagged that just in case someone doesn't want to know where he makes a cameo. I figure most would not care, but you never know.

Oh, I am familiar with Pittsburgh's location. However, there are Pittsburgh fans all over the state. It's only 4 hours from Pittsburgh to Baltimore, but not every fan lives in Pittsburgh, ya know? There are hardcore pirate fans in the northern part of WV. They love all things Pittsburgh, since they act like Pittsburgh South there. There are plenty of fans close enough to Baltimore to check out that series.

Damn fine movie. The Hulk looks a lot better in this one, as you have seen from trailers and stills, but once you see the movie, you will appreciate the CGI even more. Time flew during the movie, too, so great pacing.

Baltimore is only a little over 20 miles from PA. I am sure there were a lot of Pirates fans that made the trip. Nothing to get excited about potential drawing power, says I.

How many places have you worked selling electronics? Not a slam at all, but it seems like you are switching jobs within the industry two or more times per year.

Nice performance by Harang tonight against the Sox. Of his 7 innings, 5 were three up, three down. He allowed a 2 out bloop single to Sean Casy in the 7th, and he gave up a double and two singles in the 4th. 118 pitches, 78 for strikes.

Yes, that was me, al. It wasn't for this week, it was over a 3 day period that ended last Thursday night. That was the first 3 games of the Reds/Phil matchup, the Braves were playing at home, and the Mets were facing San Fran. My quote was, IIRC, that it would be interesting to see who was in second place. I was expecting it to be a logjam for the second slot.

The thing I don't like about his movies are how he refuses to go away from his set formula. He directs all the actors to show no emotion in their dialogue. It's like this serious, hushed tone that is present in every movie. Real people do not converse like that. Then there is a twist that everyone is now expecting. Why not do a different style of movie every now and then?

Is that your book title just in case you and I get into some zany situations that necessitate a book?

Thanks again for the tix, Marv. Ms. Dandy and I will be seeing the movie tomorrow evening. I want to see the movie, but I have a feeling that I will see a preview of The Dark Knight before the film and I will spend my time geeking over its impending release.

I have had my Panasonic since 2001 or 2002. Besides dumbshits putting their fingers on the screen, the only problem is it takes 5 minutes or so to "warm up" now, as their are lines and stuff until after that time. There is also a shadow of a cobweb that sways back and forth now. As soon as I can get the service manual for free or close to it, I am going to open it up and clean the wheels and such. It should be tip top after that.

If Jay Mariotti was twice as good as he is now, he would be Tom Arnold.

RCA hasn't been quality in ages. This is not the same RCA from before, as that company is dead and buried. Electronics are now being made with "RCA" on there, but it's not by the dog in front of the speaker.

What the fuck is up with the folder subtitle.

That is actually backed up by scientific fact.
