All I really care about now is Dontrelle winning the Cy Young. I'm too lazy to dig up the article, but yesterday AJ Burnett ripped the entire Marlins organization, most of all Jack McKeon, and punctuated the rant by saying, "All I know is I have one more start here, that's all I'm worried about." See you later, AJ.

I'm in the same boat as smitty, I'm in graduate school now and all I had to take was the GRE. I have a friend who is currently in law school; we looked at practice problems together and I thought the LSAT was difficult - but that's probably why I am a scientist. Good luck, whatever you decide.

No other love for the dairy cow? And, I don't know what it is, but ever since the Stewie/Brian novel/protaganist bit... I laugh at everything Stewie says. Like yesterday, when Stewie's agent told him no one was interested in him, and he responded with something like.."We'll see about that." It wasn't funny at all, but the delivery made me laugh. I know a lot of people hated the novel bit but I honestly think it's my favorite family guy bit ever. I am almost laughing just thinking about it right now.

I'm one of those people who enjoy going to work now...you know, like a dairy cow. MONEY.

I use Super Mario Brothers theme music, but my phone is on vibrate 99% of the time so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Alex was very clearly the girl who threw the molotov cocktail that ignited the raft. If you watch the episode back again, it's a girl who looks slightly like a younger, blonder Rosseau.

If the real Sawyer is one of the Others, I'm not going to be a happy camper. Unless they have the greatest explanation of all time. And Ravenbomb, it's supposedly the security system, but I didn't see that on my DVD. I personally think it's internet trickery, but some swear it's real.

Chris Carpenter gave up 8 runs in 5 1/3 today...twice in a row he's gotten bombed. Dontrelle going to sneak in for the Cy? I certainly hope so.
-
Well, aside from completely pissing away the season, the Marlins at least should take solace that they will be getting some hardware. With Carpenter's recent shellackings and the Dontrelle media storm going wild, it's looking like he'll take the Cy. His ERA is now about .20 points lower, tied for CG, one more shutout. Eh, who knows, but Carpenter certainly picked the wrong time to get shelled a few times.

I'm relatively sure that's a painting/picture behind Locke. There's no legs.

Scott, the guy who was killed by Ethan, was there because he won a two week paid vacation to Australia. Hurley read it at his service. Bye, bye theory. And Stephen Joseph, I think we'd all appreciate it much more and take you more seriously if you made it look like you were theorizing like the rest of us and stop talking like it's a fact. Congrats on the magnet, but you said about 100 other totally cracked out things that aren't even close to true. You're making good points, but I can't even manage to take you seriously because you act like a pretentious dick about it.

I've been thinking about the button a bit. It wakes Desmond up, but he never actually gets the chance to press it, does he? Doesn't the explosion happen before he gets the chance? Walt says that the button is bad to Shannon. Locke tells Jack that "he wouldn't do that if I were you," when Jack is standing over the button. How does Locke know that the button shouldn't be touched? Seems almost impossible for him to know that. Does the button (frown face) trigger when there is something active, and pressing enter activates the security system? There's a lot of unanswered questions here.

Oh yeah...leave it to people with more time on their hands than I do... Walt's speech to Shannon...backwards
-
I just thought of something... Sarah hit Shannon's dad, Adam. He left all of the money to Boone's mother. Sarah was going to pick out tablecloths for her wedding. Boone and his mother are in the wedding business. Is it possible that while going to see Boone's mother, she hit and killed Shannon's father?

Yeah, I mentioned it earlier. It's labeled CS and the numbers follow. Oh, and as for the experiment hypothesis...the door was labeled quarantine on the inside, meaning what's past that is quarantined (ie the rest of the island). It's certainly a plausible hypothesis.

Don't be disappointed. The Marlins don't deserve to win the wild card. I am going to have a smile on my face the entire day that Jack McKeon gets fired. I didn't like him when we won in 2003, and I absolutely hate him now. He makes the worst personnel decisions; he refuses to play rookies; and his old school approach is exactly what a team configured like the Marlins DOESN'T need. I'm just hoping the Marlins find a way to hire Joe Girardi.

One more thing before I'm off to play some Madden... The 108 all over Desmond's place... Yeah... 4+8+15+16+23+42 = 108
-
Because, he has the shinnin' (/simpsons reference) and he saw that something bad would happen. At least that was my take. My head is buzzing with so many ideas. I love this show.

Go to oceanicflight815.com There is a barcode type object next to the media link. The password is theislandiswaiting Personally, I think what they give you is another piece of garbage, just like the mapinguari page. Oh, and apparently the "steroid" or whatever was labeled...CS 4 8 15 16 23 42

Ok, security system... Desmond's or not? And that fucking rocked. I gapsed when the intense light hit Kate (where the hell is she?!) and when the connection clicked in my head that the dude in the hatch was Desmond (it happened right after the flashback when Jack landed in the hole). Great episode. I can't fucking wait for next week, especially since we find out the raft story. As for what happened with Walt - I just assumed it was a hallucination, but hell, it could be more than that.
-
Okay, so they didn't do THAT bad, but still... Quoted for future reference. Are you trying to humiliate me? I thought you were a Braves fan, bravesfan. That fills my quota of using the search engine. It's all in good fun though, Mik. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, that's why it sucks... I had a lot of faith in this team and by all accounts they should have done better. Oh well.
-
Yeah... at least I've been lucky enough to have two world series teams to cheer for in the past 10 years. And I think this marks the first time in at least two years, and maybe ever, that I'm going away from the Marlins avatar/sig. How is anyone going to recognize me anymore? The Marlins have a lot of work to do in the offseason - there is too much dead weight.
-
Ha. And I hate to be pessimistic, but that about does it for Florida.

AJ Burnett taking a no hitter into the 7th at Shea. He's gotten better as the game has gone on and last inning it looked like he was pitching with some type of unfair advantage.
