One late night I caught the power 90 x informercial by accident. I ended up deciding to implement the key strategy into my workouts - I change the entire routine every 4 weeks for muscle confusion. Well - I'm the strongest I've ever been and I'm looking pretty jacked up these days. I posted a picture of it in the post a picture of yourself thread a few days ago... I think there may be something to the muscle confusion.

How does everyone feel about the Marlins having the best record in the NL 1/4 of the way through the season? I feel pretty great about it.

The only good takeout really close to my house is a japanese sushi/steakhouse. I usually get sushi once a week - but I have been getting tired of it so I figured I would go with a chicken tempura meal. I should have just gone with the sushi... my stomach is killing me. But on the plus side I got one of the japanese side salads with that awesome ginger based dressing.

Well, for the fighters. No fighter in the UFC (or EliteXC now) can wear Affliction clothing because they now have their own promotion.

Alvarez starts it off by dropping Hansen within the first 30 seconds, but Hansen refuses to stay down. It remains a theme throughout the bout. Alvarez constantly peppering Hansen with shots, dropping him another time in the first round. But it's not a rout...Hansen is also hitting Alvarez with his fair share of punches. Super entertaining first round with banging back and forth and neither fighter giving an inch. Second round: Alvarez and Hansen will going at it full tilt but Joachim catches Alvarez in a beautiful armbar that's in deep but Alvarez pops out and celebrates immediately because it was CLOSE. They keep going at it until the bell and Alvarez catches Hansen with a beautiful headkick right at the end of the fight that lands solid on the neck/lower chin and then follows it up with one good shot. Post-match: Each fighter congratulates the other and each win over the Japanese crowd with loud ovations. Great fight. Unfortunately the only video I can find is the Japanese feed.

No tags needed - that's why I created the thread. This is my card of the year so far. I was thinking that BEFORE Alvarez/Hansen which is EASILY my fight of the year. Amazing fight. Constant banging...Alvarez just kept punishing Hansen but Hansen would not stay down under any circumstance... and then the armbar escape from Alvarez in the 2nd round... ending the fight with the headkick and the displays of affection from both fighters after the fight. FOTYC. Shoji won me over with his banging and swank armbar escape but you can't really compete with the smooth jazz of Yamazaki. Mayhem with the amazing breakdance entrance and constantly playing to the cameras while he dismantled his opponent was highly entertaining. He looked incredible. Manhoef avoiding the early upset bid and finishing with the killer knee was nice. He also had a great entrance with the dog on the leash. Great fight. Kawijiri and Nakamura both looking very impressive in entertaining decisions. Typical Nick Diaz super entertaining stand and bang beatdown and Caol Uno with the surprise rear naked choke to advance... Best card of the year, so far, for me... easily.

Along that same vein, Eko stared down the smoke monster and was kept alive to keep the button pressed but after he failed and was no longer needed then it was the end of him. I wonder why the smoke monster dragged Locke off early on in Season 1, though. We're probably supposed to forget that... or maybe not because it pretty much just tosses around and destroys what it wants to kill.

I am having a hard time coming up with a choice I can solidly get behind, at this point. I've been thoroughly entertained by MMA this year but I am having a hard time singling out a FOTY - they aren't jumping out at you like last year. I'm thinking others are in the same boat, which is why we haven't had much action.

Tommy Speer is heading to the WEC, which is probably best for everyone involved. I don't personally like him as a fighter but I can see that he has potential to at least get a chance.

So next week basically begins the season finale because although it's 3 hours over two (three with the break in the middle) weeks - it's essentially the same episode. Exciting. Now the shit is really going to go down.

James Thompson is probably not going to beat Kimbo and Cung Le fights for Strikeforce, not EliteXC. Either way, the Shamrock fight was close enough to now that he wouldn't be on this card either way.

Andy Bernard stole this episode, but honestly the best part was Michael's very creepy "Kiss her, kiss her good" at the end. I had no idea next week was the season finale already. Well - it's easy to see where things are going here unless its a swerve. It might be painful to watch when Pam drops the hammer on Jim.

I found tonight's episode very confusing. I hardly think I'll be alone.
